9.6 Excellent
Pros: Having arrived at the Tudor Lodge, we were met by Steve and made extremely welcome. We were given a map of the area and shown places to eat which provide a discount for staying in the Tudor. The room was well presented with all that is required to make your stay a pleasant one. Breakfast is cooked to order, the order being taken by Claire, with tea and coffee brought to the table. The choice was extremely good and the quality of the cooked food was exceptional. A very pleasant stay and highly recommended .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Good location. Clean. Good facilities. Everything you needed on hand. A home, from home. Even the lovely welcoming cats. Tea and biscuits throughout our 3 day stay. Even found cake in our room on our last day. The breakfast was amazing. Filled you up all day.
Cons: Nothing. No negatives at all. We’d would happily recommend to others, in fact we already have. Be prepared for the in laws.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy, great location. Neat and clean. Great having a little bar fridge in the room with fresh milk and cold bottles of water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly. The room was bright and clean and the breakfast was delicious.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely tranquil location.
Cons: Our only criticism of this lovely B&B is the Property needs a clear named sign. It does say Awel y Mynydd added on with small stickers under the painted bed and breakfast signage. It's hard to spot from the road. We drove by several times trying to find it. Post code in TomTom's latest Sat nav only gives the road to choose and no option to add a house number.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fabulous B&B in a beautiful location close to all of the key attractions in Snowdonia. Quiet location, lots of off road parking, Spotlessly clean, lovely bedroom and en suite shower room. Our host Eirwen serves a Superb breakfast every morning, including, fresh fruit, cereals, and a fabulous cooked breakfast, and we could choose whatever we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Tea and coffee in the room with a fresh bottle of milk, and bottles of cold water in the rooms fridge, topped up every day. Eirwen even provided us with some great tips for eating out, and great advice on places to see including the amazing views from Rhiw of Hells Mouth and Aberdaron which we might well have missed without her recommendation. We can’t recommend the place highly enough. Thanks again Eirwen and Barry
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming and friendly. Tasty breakfasts which lasted us all day. Good local information and help about where to eat and visit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. We were happy to have the mini fridge for some food that we had and for cold drinks. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Honestly everything was fine. The only things I can fault are that the shower was adequate, but a bit small and the room was very warm so we could have done with a fan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners could not have been more helpful with our vegan requirements and suggestions for walks.
Cons: We had to go home too soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were lovely and very helpful. Location wise the property is perfect for day trips in the South, and getting further up to the mountains in Snowdonia wouldn't take more than an hours drive. Breakfast was perfectly on time and our food restrictions were taken into consideration.
Cons: The only problem we had was finding the property - for some reason, Google Maps does not give the correct location with the property's postcode. We had to give the owner a call, but luckily he was very helpful and we were only one house away from the correct address.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and central

Pros: 5 star everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, no question it was cooked by a skilled chef. Everything was beautifully seasoned and prepared. Cheerful and cozy room with a comfortable bed. Nice tea tray.
Cons: Terrible internet connection unfortunately. Since it was so hot we had to have the windows open and was a fair amount of noise from the kitchen and parking area, but it wasn't late at night. Shower lacked any shelves or rack to put soap, or shampoo, so had to put them on the shower floor.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean room with comfortable bed.
Cons: Poor sound insulation between rooms meant we were able to hear other hotel guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, evening meal was very good, atmosphere superb, bedroom was clean and very comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Hotel is a little gem in Harlech. Everything about it was great, the staff especially, the owner who booked us in and made us feel welcome immediately. The food was very good including the breakfast. It's very near to the Town or the beach so a very good location. Although it's on the main road it was very quiet during the night. The bed was super huge and very comfortable.
Cons: Not a complaint but the bathroom was very small, the shower wasn't really large enough for an adult but I accept there wasn't much option for anything larger because of the layout of the building.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good.
Cons: My only complaint was the small television.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Everywhere quite clean.
Cons: It’s a shame that it is located on the main road, opposite a railway and right at the bottom of the hill (which is a very steep walk to the little town)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean fresh bed
Cons: Carpet needed changing on hall stairs and landing
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, extremely comfortable room, superb food and friendly staff make this well run hotel a winner.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice choice of Breakfast beautifully presented & cooked also Evening meal very good -Ice cream is a must !!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff, food (absolutely brilliant), friendliness, bathroom, location - everything except for our specific room. Restaurant is superb.
Cons: Our room had tiny windows (no view) on a very hot August bank holiday and there was no way to cool the room. It also felt a little damp. So not sure it's a good room at any time of year. For the price, this room is very poor, even if the bathroom is top notch.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent quality food, lots of choice for breakfast. Fruit in the room was a nice touch. Very comfortable room

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it. We thought we’d book a room in the hotel only to find we were in a 2 bedroomed cottage. Sometimes when a web site says ‘ hotel is 1 mile from the harbour.’ you yeh right! This is one of those rare occasions when the info is spot on.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brand New furniture, lovely room. Right halfway between porthmadog and portmeiron
Cons: Flawless
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern comfortable rooms, very helpful staff.

Pros: Location is great for exploring Snowdonia and the area. Food and drink is great and friendly atmosphere. Very quiet location as well, away from the rush of everyday life
Cons: Nothing specific, even the weather was good !
7.5 Good
Pros: Really enjoyed our stay, perfectly located for us on our trip. I feel the room was fine for a short stay so would recommend to anyone just looking for a pitstop whilst they explore! Staff were lovely! The room smelt a little bit damp but it wasn’t a huge issue. Could do with a little fridge and bottled water in the rooms. Other than that it was a very nice stay. Thanks so much! Also staff were super lovely across email!
Cons: Check out is quite early.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a meal in the restaurant I had fish and chips and it was the largest fish I have ever seen the food was fantastic.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect in the square. Meals were great and well priced. Very pretty quite town off the highway. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again if travelling through Wales.
Cons: Stairs are a bit steep getting to your room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant for meals and breakfast were very good. the room and bathroom again were very good.
Cons: Car parking was not ideal, I had to park a few hundred yards away on the streets. I chose the hotel because I thought that I would only have to climb one flight of stairs and could park outside, neither was the case. My room was in another building and up two flights, rather than the one in the original photo. Also not in Porthmadoc but in Tremadoc which was too far to walk so I had to pay car parking for my visits to the railways.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Room wasn't clean.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food excellent. A particular mention for Zoe who was extremely efficient at her job.
Cons: General hotel decor very tired
5.0 Okay
Pros: Prime location for visiting Snowdonia. Bathroom and bedding very clean. Hairdryer good. Breakfast was really excellent with a great choice and plenty of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: This hotel is somewhat shabby and in need of a complete refurbishement. Although it was hoovered, the old carpet in the bedroom was not one I wanted to walk on barefoot when coming out of the shower! The old sash windows, whilst pretty to look at, are difficult to adjust - and only single glazed so I wouldn't stay here in winter! The most disappointing thing was the lack of wi -fi signal anywhere in the hotel - even in the lounge or breakfast room where it was supposed to work. We were told that tis was to do with the weather - but I myself live in a rural and often wet hilly area which has difficulties with signals and we have no problem with the system we use for wi fi here. This can absolutely be fixed if the owner would upgrade it - preferably password protected, which the current one isn't.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Parking was good. Room very clean. Good choice for Breakfast and friendly service.
Cons: No shower head in bathroom.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Bedroom • lock on the bedroom door is faulty making it difficult to open • The bedroom has a nasty smell, the window was open & had to remain open the whole time we were there as the smell was offensive. • The tv remote control was faulty- despite replacing the batteries it failed to work • The picture on the TV was wrong – heads of people standing were cutoff • The curtains did not close fully- leaving light shining in at the sides • The carpet was disgusting - worn & shabby, I couldn’t walk barefoot as I believed the carpet was dirty. • There was a stain on one of the duvet covers, although the bedding appeared to be clean • There was only one bedside table/ lamp • The lighting in the light was poor • Window frames were dirty • Kettle did not close properly so leaked Wallpaper ripped Bathroom • Toilet seat loose & moves • No extractor fan • Unable to open window • Shower pressure poor – water temperature inconsistent- ran hot then cold then warm throughout shower. Breakfast • Breakfast on first days – the plate was very hot but sausage was cold & the rest of the food was tepid, the scrambled egg was runny & there was no butter available. General • At breakfast on the first morning the staff were incredibly busy, people had to wait longer to be served & there were difficulties with seating guests • The WiFi which is advertised is only available in the ‘pink’ room • The carpet in the lift & hallway are dirty • The décor & furniture throughout the hotel is in a poor state. Paid £268 for two nights - terrible experience
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: The smell outside our room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel in beautiful Snowdonia. Breakfast is really good- there are hot dishes served a la carte as well a buffet. Lounge area is very cosy. Rooms are reasonably spacious and come with a very handy tea making kit.
Cons: Staff didn’t make us feel particularly welcome. We were told at dinner that ‘the chef currently has enough orders’ and that we can try coming back later.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very good location for doing everything ‘Snowdon’ and car parking included.
Cons: It’s a tired and slightly sad hotel. Where updates had been attempted in our bathroom, black mould was already accumulating. The whole place just needs some character and tlc pumped back into it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, great breakfast selection and quality of cooked breakfast selections very high, good chef and waiting staff friendly despite being obviously short staffed. Great location for Snowdon in the pretty town of Beddgelert, nice bar and reception area. Second room we stayed in on our second night (no.22) much better than previous night (no.23). Lots of character in the hotel.
Cons: Quality of first room we stayed in, hotel full of character however in need of an update. Hope it has one as massive potential. Would stay again.
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff Excellent food
Cons: Check in confusion Dinner order lost, no dinner
