Pros: The welcome at the hotel by Mr. Laurent was impeccable, with many tips and brilliant directions, all given over a lovely cup of coffee. The room was beautiful, the facilities top notch and breakfast delicious. We were even given several rides into the centre of town by Mr. Laurent, which he happily offered without us even asking
Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Pros: Everything. Great proximity. Lovely room. Excellent breakfast. Specifically had gluten free.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice old house, well restored up to modern standards
Cons: Parking in such a location should be included, even though 10 EUR is not excessive albeit unnecessary
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accomodations were, simply put, excellent. The building has historical significance and many photos and decor highlight this without sacrificing today's conveniences. Beautifully done! Lawrence, Manager/Host is personable, most helpful, and goes the extra mile to accomodate guest needs. The breakfast buffet was ample and fresh with Omlettes to order as a bonus. We will not hesitate to return and will recommend it, without hesitation, to others.
Cons: AC is available in the central areas and hallways but the rooms can get warm. A fan is provided in each private room to move the air which helps a bit. Could possibly be a bit uncomfortable in summer's higher temps.

Pros: We can only recommend this hotel if anybody has anything to do in or around Tongeren. It is worth the extra drive to stay here. Excellent room, very friendly and competent personnel. Clean, cozy and excellent location. Looking forward to staying there again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I was made to feel very welcome. The room was furnished nicely, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The hotel was situated right in the centre of town and there was a good choice of places to eat in the evening.
Cons: I didn't have breakfast as the car could only be parked near the hotel until 8.30 a.m. so I had to move it each morning which was not the most relaxing way to start the day. I had breakfast in a local cafe on my walk back to the centre of town. The coffee machine in the room was an espresso machine so tea tasted of coffee and the hot water coming out of it was always brown.

Pros: Breakfast and Coffee truly exceptional... eating out over 300 days a year I rarely comment on the quality of a breakfast and coffee, but at Den Bongaerd it would be unfair to not do so!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hildegarde and Jack, the owners of this b&b are lovely people. They gave us a warm welcome and gave us directions to nice place to eat. We have a great time staying there.
5.8 Okay
Cons: My girlfriend and I are very very disappointed how this woman made us hoped and payed for nothing. The number one reason why we booked this hotel is because the massage is inclusive, pool and sauna are secondary. Apparently the woman owner managed to make excuses every time we asked when we can have our massage. This are the answers she gave us every time we asked when we can have our massage. Anytime that you want. I can’t do it because I will eat suffer and I will check my schedule and let you know after dinner. We can make a schedule in the morning. During breakfast: Oh I will try to move my appointments for your massage. Oh Apparently I can’t bacause I have Doctor’s appointment. Would you like to use the swimming pool or sauna? But let me know what time because we need to prepare it. Who would use inside pool and sauna in a nice weather? We booked for two nights and unfortunately we have to leave the next day. We asked the woman again if we get our money back for the second night. Well she did it again. I have no control of that because you booked that to booking.com. The woman has friendly face but she has no integrity or sense of customer service. Her partner is also friendly. Room looks good but not cleaned properly. Dust everywhere and broken coffee machine. One cookie for two guests. Dirty jacuzzi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with the owner going to the bakery for fresh baked breads and pastries. Clean quiet hotel nicely decorated and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a spectacular spa hotel. The owners greeted us with drinks and conversation and we felt like friends before we even checked in. The rooms were lovely and the garden was amazing. My friends had a spa room with jetted jacuzzi tub in the room and a large shower with all sorts of gizmos. We did not take advantage of the spa itself where there was a pool, sauna room and more. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. We would have loved to spend more time at this location but our schedule would not allow. Tongeren Flea market was minutes away by car.
Cons: Our experience could not be improved upon.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The homemade breakfast was delicious and the owners were very polite and helpful. The garden view and private balcony were heavenly additions to a comfortable weekend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Lovely hosts, great room, lovely home made breakfast. Quiet rural location but walking distance to cafe with food. Close to Tongeren and easy trip to Maastricht.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extra excellent customer service - breakfast was to start at 8:30 but we wanted to leave at 7:00 for the antique market in Tongeren - the host got up at 5:30 and made sure our 7:00 breakfast was perfect - we said we only need yogurt, but we got eggs with bacon, cheese, fresh OJ and local apple juice, and a full pot of coffee on the table waiting. Excellent Excellent stay! We'll be back!

Pros: What a lovely stay in the smallest village of Belgium. A very warm welcome, the hosts Lies and Stefan are really very nice and charming people. The room is cosy, spacious and clean and a filled mini-bar. The bed is very good. We asked to rent bikes and they were ready at arrival. It is such a wonderful area to bike. The breakfast is just wonderful, fresh apple-juice from a farmer in the neighbourhood, Nespresso coffee, fresh fruit, home made jam, fresh breadrolls and croissants and you can also have eggs with bacon. We enjoyed it very much. A truly charming adress.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Déco and confort
Cons: Breakfast could be more traditional and local
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: Small village outside Tongeren, car is allmost a requierment
6.8 Good
Cons: We booked a bedroom with 3 beds of 50 m2, but we were told the room was already occupied. Although it was very obvious we were the only guests there. Outside is was freezing cold (minus 5°); but the room was not heated in advance. It was very cold and it lasted until the next morning before the temperature was comfortable. Breakfast was all right, but now WOW
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The room was on the top floor ( 5 ) and the stairs are not great. We used the cups in the room for coffee, they were never cleaned or our beds made or towels changed during our 3 days stay. The mosquito's and Gnats are killers, I got bitten 12 times one night and 6 times the next, not good, the bathroom door sounds like a portcullis going up, and when it rains you cant sleep due to the noise on the windows, really wanted this to be a good experience,but.... I would not go back again, its not worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is located in a quiet area with beautiful views but close to Tongeren antique markets. The owners Lies and Stefan are a lovely nice couple. They were welcoming and helpful. The property is a barn conversion with beautiful rooms and dining area. Very clean, spacious room and bathroom- modern and decorated perfectly. Views to countryside. They recommended a superb Italian restaurant for dinner nearby which was absolutely amazing! Delicious-gourmet Italian food. Small and locally owned- a must!

Pros: Like the friendliness of Ingrid. And Ingrid introducing her kids made it feel somewhat like coming home, thought that was a very special personal touch. Breakfast was very enjoyable with home made items - loved it.
Cons: Did not like that bathroom and shower were outside of the room. But there was enough privacy and it was not a problem. Not having parking at the location takes a little bit of coordination
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming. I loved the breakfast - home made jams and apple juice. The room was very elegant and the bed very comfortable. The B & B is located in a very quiet area with some nice walks nearby.
Cons: I would have liked private parking - not on the street.

The mattress was very comfortable, the extras in the room were second to none, loved the coffee machine, water carafes with lemon & mint and the bath robes and complimentary toiletries were very handy. Breakfast was incredible, pancakes, cooked eggs, homemade preserves we were spoilt for choice. Would not hesitate in returning.
Cons: Nothing the whole stay was amazing.

It is honestly worth visiting and Tongeren is great for long hikes and biking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What’s not to like! Our room was wonderfully comfortable, location perfect, and the hostess Dominica very personable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were the first to have breakfast and the pain chocolat was still warm. The owners love children and have a big heart. We found toys in our bedroom and were loaned some more after breakfast. The bathrooms and beds are brand new and the owners plan to continue improving facilities.
Cons: Didn’t like....that’s a strong word. Since the house is old and rooms are tucked away into the gables, natural light is not always available. We visited on a very grey weekend. I would brighten up the decoration - more whites rather than dark brown.

Pros: - The room (also bathroom) is spacious and very clean, nicely decor (room number 4) - Comfy bed and pillows - Blackout blinds - Complimentary small bottle of water - Safe in the wardrobe (but very small) - Bathrobe and toiletries - Good quality and options of breakfast (owner was a chef so you won't be disappointed) - Property has one parking spaec in front of the hourse, but no problem with parking space around since it's a small town
Cons: - 08:30 to 10:30 breakfast time didn't fit my agenda so could only enjoyed one breakfast throughout 4 nights - Shops or restaurants are all driving distance - Don't open the mosquito net in the evening, a lot of mosquito will fly into the room

6.3 Good
Pros: Place was beautiful. We liked the area with the horses in the pasture. Breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: We didn't like the tub in the living/bedroom area. There was hardly any light in the room, the bulb wattage was minimal, actually had to use my flashlight to find things at night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is quiet and comfortable for a weekend off. We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The spa is only available if you make a resevervation before your stay. It is not really suitable for children, especially if the spa is privately booked the whole time. The cleanliness should be a point of improvement.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Peace and silence !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Excellent host. Extremely spotlessly clean really nicely and thoughtfully restored old building highly recommend
4.5 Okay
Pros: Nice location and building structure. Horses nearby and outdoor spaces to eat and relax (which we didn't use since it was winter, but they were nice to look at). Breakfast included.
Cons: Water in room 7 was cold! Thus we couldn't use the whirlpool in the room. This was very annoying since it was the reason why I booked it. In the morning, we could only take a cold shower since the water wouldn't even get hot or warm at 9am. Very disappointing.

Pros: This was my second stay at AntiQua and again has been a very pleasant one :-) Fatima is a wonderful host, always very friendly and an excellent Chef! The breakfast was great and plentiful! Stayed in the Butterfly room. So spacious and comfortable. I had the opportunity to try out the new gym, and had an amazing experience with the Andullation machine. After 30 minutes I was so relaxed and zen...slept like a baby. The following morning, woke up early and spent 45 minutes on the Infrared sauna. Wow, that was a great experience too!!! After a quick cold shower I felt fully energized and with a glowing skin. Thank you Fatima for for all your explanations. Will be returning soon to try out the Floating Tank.

Pros: I would like to commend the owners of the hotel for the outstanding customer care, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay was comfortable.
Cons: The long walk to the hotel! At least a mile after the bus dropped us off.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location within walking distance of the center of Borgloon; easy to find and plenty of parking. Warm welcome by hostess Ingrid, who took the time to show us some walking routes in the area. Cozy interior and comfortable, spacious rooms in a 200 year old house. Breakfast was excellent - organic cheeses from a local farm, fresh figs and grapes from the back garden and fresh herbs to make tea with. I'd book here again if I was planning another walking trip in the area.

Pros: Everything was just perfect, I would book again
Cons: All good
6.8 Good
Pros: Bed was great. The look and concept is quite cool. Everything feels quite historic and the concept is fun. Cool bath tub in middle of the room. Stuff was friendly.
Cons: The place is not clean. First all walls and carpets are stained. In our room (238) lots of stains everywhere. Ok, we could have been ok with that but then, the bathroom looked like it wasnt cleaned at all. Tooth paste in sink, hair in shower, stains (that were cleanable) on plastic walls, it was sticky around the bath tub). For 105€ a night and 4* this is unacceptable. There have been previous ratings on Booking that have been complaining about cleanliness, but apparently no improvement has been made.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast, overall facilities.
Cons: Bathroom not very clean, no new shower supplies after first day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location if you are coming for the Sunday Market. Make sure you follow their instructions about what garage and which level to park in. Plan on taking advantage of the late checkout because it will be hard to get out of there while the market is still set up.
Cons: Headboard was in an awkward location, ended up banging my head on it while reading. The signage for the front desk is understated to say the least. Ask a local if your nav system misdirects you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: John was an absolutly amazing receptionist. He was very helpful, gave us great tips about the area, and helped facilitate room changes. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and located right by the center of the flea market.
Cons: Nothing! It was all great!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, the rooms were available upon arrival. Great breakfast buffet, although it’s a bit strange that there were all sorts of champagne glasses. They should be all the same in a hotel.
Cons: Although it looked great and modern on the pictures, there are some things that need attention, like, when we arrived, a big dustnet was hanging at the entrance door, which was there all day long. The carpet on the first floor looked dirty ( lot of spots) and the shower wasn’t very hygienic ( spots and mold at the glass door). The furniture was a bit outdated. The Airconditioning makes lot of noise and there was no water for seen in our room, the second room we rented for our friends had 1 little bottle for seen, although after asking water at the reception, we were immediately helped.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We didn't take the breakfast : too expensive !!
Cons: A small coffee machine in the room and more intimacy in the bathroom : a door between the bedroom and the bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The toilet Seat didn’t sit comfortably
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and location
Cons: Everything was perfect.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and had a fabulous bath. The hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood and has easy parking. We were close enough to Tongeren to easily drive (about 15 minutes) to the antique market the next morning.
Cons: Although it didn't present a problem, we didn't really see the staff much. It seemed a bit more like an apartment stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Large spacious room with easy access, sufficient parking and super friendly helpful staff. Location was ideal with pubs and restaurants close by
Cons: Bedroom and bathroom open plan so wife was unhappy as no privacy when on the loo
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property is lovely just outside of a small village. The gentleman who checked us in was warm, friendly and helpful in every way. He quickly made us a reservation at a local restaurant that ended up being excellent. Rooms are very attractive, spotlessly clean and very functional. You can easily walk to town in 10 minutes. Definitely would stay here again.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Reasonable price for a beer before heading out for dinner. Lovely room with efficient heating. Outstanding choice of very high quality products at breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for the Sunday market. The room was fine, I did like that you could pay for a late checkout I didn’t mind the fee as it was worth it to is to have a base for the market
Cons: The parking was confusing as you need to park in certain places because of the market if you’re staying on a Saturday night. Even though I knew this is wasn’t communicated well beforehand and we got it wrong and had to move the car. I realise this is Belgium but many nationalities come here so we did struggle with the restaurant menu as only 3 items we could read.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: had an excellent stay at the Ambiotel.right in the centre of town.2 mins walk from the Q-Park underground car park.11eu for 24hrs great value.rest of the towns bars and restaurants are within easy reach.
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to city center. Nice restaurant. Large rooms. Free safe inside the rooms, minibar, trousers iron (didn't use it but it was there). Toilet separated from bathroom. Slippers and higiene products.
Cons: Wifi speed was very low and it kept disconnecting.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good but you can not pull up outside the hotel when the market is on Wednesday night for Thursday market and Saturday night for Sunday market so you have to go in the underground car park and drag your cases back to hotel. If your not there for the market avoid these days. The bed was supper comfy with a mattress topper on it.
Cons: Walking through a public bar with cases to check in hotel was very poor as you had to weave through tables of people eating their evening meal and they did not appreciate that. The toilet is separate and very small so if you are on the larger size, like my partner, you will struggle to turn round to close the door when on the toilet, then you have to go into another room to wash your hands ! The car park can only be used on lower level 2 on market days if you use level 1 then they will tow your car in the middle of the night as the market uses underground car park found this out by accident so could easily get caught out ! Getting out of the car park on market days is horrendous as you have to weave in and out of market stalls and lots of exit streets closed. The market is no way for trade buyers as it has dearer retail prices than the UK and they will not move on price as they are dealers selling to public.

Pros: The breakfast was superb and lasted us until the evening.

Pros: Fantastic homeowners made us feel very welcome. Great breakfast and outdoor seating area with a very spacious apartment. Fantastic location! Thanks for your kind hospitality. Local supermarket just around the corner along with other restaurants and bistros and a local pub a few meters down the road!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious for 3 people. The owners were friendly and accommodating. I great place to stay outside Tongeren.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was handy for Tongeren market only a short drive away, peaceful location. we were up very early, breakfast was left for us on a trolley outside our room which was much appreciated. There was a kettle but no normal tea just herbal or any coffee, a waste paper basket in our room would have been good but was not a problem, also some sort of Menu to give us an idea of what was on offer for an evening meal, rather than asked what we wanted which became rather difficult. but we would recommend the place in spite of this.
