10.0 Excellent
Pros: This wee pub is perfect, the setting is great with fantastic views. Our room was very clean and the bed was perfect, the shower is good with plenty of hot water and power. All of the staff we spoke with were very nice and more than willing to make the stay perfect. The menu is quite extensive but the specials on the board even better. Breakfast was spot on, top quality bacon and sausage (which makes all the difference) with plenty of other choice for breakfast too including a very good continental option. We had a wee issue with the toilet in our room and as it was Sunday didn't expect it to be sorted till Monday, but when we arrived back in the afternoon the issue was all sorted. Great stay and service all round.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good staff and clean quiet place to stay.
Cons: We will opt to two single beds next time, as the one double bed was too small for us. This resulted in a sleepless night first night. Fortunately the staff made sure we had an extra bed which made the second night much more comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the town centre with none of the noise & bustle. Unusually for a B&B, but more than welcome, the tea/coffee facilities had a good supply of all - including milk. Breakfast, with a choice of Tea or FILTER Coffee, gave a good selection, I chose the full English which was plentiful & my wife chose Salmon & Scrambled Egg on toast; delicious! Some other star additions were matching china, including a china teapot. Great touches. The hotel was clean, room was spotless. White towels were deep & plush. We stayed over the 3-day Bank Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cons: No negatives.

Pros: The room and ensuite bathroom were really nice, clean and extremely well decorated. The BnB is only 5 to 7 mins from the city centre by foot, and easily accessible. The flexibility of the breakfast (i.e. we could decide everyday whether we would want breakfast the next day and select our preferences from a list) was also greatly appreciated.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owners were really helpful , and made you feel at home
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Board games and pool table a nice touch
7.7 Good
Pros: The location isnt brilliant! It's at the end of a potholed drive and at the end of an industrial estate - but it is only 5 minutes from the town centre of Buxton. The rooms are not big and the bathroom is tiny but it has all the facilities. However, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was more than enough. The price is very attractive and of course, parking is free which is not the case in the centre of Buxton. We would stay again!
Cons: I suppose we would have preferred a bigger bathroom. There is only room for one person at a time.

7.9 Good
Pros: Great for our family. Good food at the pub and lovely spot.
Cons: Minor points not really worth putting here as may not normally be a problem
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was better than expected with lovely wooden decor and a very nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable and was very homely all round.
Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike to be honest, maybe being reminded in prior communications to book in for dinner but it wasn't particularly busy but that's a little gripe.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Pleasant decor. Beautiful view of countryside.
Cons: Bathroom very small without any shelving to put toiletries. Tap too large for tiny sink which made it tricky to fill kettle.Very little hanging space - just one double hook. Access to room through someone's back garden.

Pros: The room was large and clean. The shower had good water pressure and the double bed in the room was comfortable. The breakfast each morning was very good and cooked to order.

Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a real country pub with a good atmosphere. The rooms are lovely and the location superb for the Peak District. There are walks directly from the pub. It is good to have dinner where you are staying without a journey.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room contained all that was necessary and much more. The en-suite included everything we needed, but most importantly, had a bath (which seems to be becoming a rarity these days)? There were nice touches like leaving a half bottle of Prosecco and a large bottle of locally brewed beer in the fridge (incidentally fresh milk was there as well). There was a problem with the TV but the manager came and fixed it within 5 minutes. Also after breakfast, a free packed lunch was available for everyone. Finally, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Pros: The service was outstanding, the setting is idyllic and the food was of a very high standard. The room was smart and well presented with complimentary drinks on arrival. No detail has been overlooked. The menu changes daily allowing extended stays without tedium. The gardens are well tended and the geese are friendly. A key feature of the level of attention is the complimentary packed lunch available every day to residents. The selection of books and daily papers is good- and the road access and parking are easy.
Cons: We cannot find any feature for this section- Biggin Hall is an example of the best in all areas- five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this hotel - the attentive staff, the lovely cosy bedroom in the cottage over looking the meadows, the relaxing atmosphere, the delicious dinners and breakfasts, beautiful old building sympathetically decorated, and the delightful gardens. Cons: not badly negative, but one thing would probably be that the walk up to the hostel from the main road can get pretty dark in the evening, no street lights along the way. Cons: Facilities in bedroom could have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely, lovely place in the heart of the Peak District. We booked a 3 night stay in a Family room and paid extra for our dog to stay too. Couldn’t wish for a better accommodation, the welcome from the Staff, the cleanliness and the size of the room, cosy and had all we needed. Breakfast was delicious more than sufficient to start the day. Freshly cooked and good, healthy choices. Evening meals were just as good, so much so we ate in each night. My daughter was very impressed with the Vegetarian/Vegan choices. Thank You for making our mini break so wonderfully chilled and relaxing, we took full advantage of the local walks and surrounding area of beauty and will definitely be returning to the Sycamore Inn.
Cons: N/A
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and we ate both nights at the Inn, again very good, and the service was excellent.
Cons: The room was a little stuffy (for our liking) and with hindsight I should have asked for a fan which would have been provided had I asked. So my fault there and no detriment to the Inn.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: People are all lovely and couldn't do enough. We arrived after food had stopped being served but they anticipated that we would want to eat and made sure we did. I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to be back.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. It was very quiet due to the bank holiday but that was perfect for us as we had been traveling and needed to rest. Would love to stay again when it is slightly busier.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An attractive property in a beautiful location, with an excellent restaurant and spacious rooms. Even before we arrived a message from the owners made it clear how very welcome we would be made. Superb service provided by every single member of staff ensured a high quality experience for all guests.
Cons: The rooms were beneath the restaurant and so noise of footsteps from above was rather loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location very close to Kinder Scout, new mills, Edale, Castleton and we really enjoyed so many walks. Enjoyed breakfast with something different every morning. The kippers come highly recommended from me. Ate here two out of the three evenings we spent here and ordered the same starter both times as enjoyed it so much the first time. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was comfy. Shower was 5*. But the thing that makes this inn worth the visit the most is the staff. The couple who own the inn were so welcoming and chatty which was great and alongside the two girls working they all had it running like clockwork. Any question was answered and every recommendation was a good one. We didn’t want to leave and will be returning soon!
Cons: Loved it all!
