This hotel has recently changed ownership and has gone far downhill. On previous stays (2 times prior to this) we loved this hotel for its little amenities- for example, the hotel supplied Sun Bum sunblock at the pool for all its guests- and it's adult-friendly environment. This time, however, the adult pool was closed, the little amenities were gone, and the timeshare company that now owns the resort hassles you daily. Given the steep price of this resort (room and food are expensive!), we will not be returning based on these issues.
Nice location and a nice room overall. In room amenities were decent. Staff were responsive to concerns raised (see below).
There were some major logistical oversights during our stay. Our room was not serviced on one of the days and it required escalating to speak to a manager to be satisfactorily resolved. In addition, one of the pools was under construction.
Remodeled room. Grove restaurant was delicious. Bartenders were very nice!!!
Aggressive time share pitch. The hotel concierge lured us down with the promise of a welcome gift which was really just a packet of coupons we wouldn’t use. Way too busy for honeymooners. Adult only pool was closed for renovations. Kids were swimming in the pool while we were trying to have a nice dinner.
The room was exceptional, beautiful furnishings, great view and lots of space.
The concierge gave us advice about a tour that was not correct. There was subtle pressure to attend the time share presentation and this was conditional on receiving tour and other discounts.
Location close to everything! Ala Moana and the beach. We had some views of the harbour which was lovely!
The happy hour was still expensive and limited, some of the things in the room was worn ie the bed was chipped and the lights were dirty.
