8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and clean. The shower had good water pressure and the double bed in the room was comfortable. The breakfast each morning was very good and cooked to order.
Cons: There is some discrepancy on the site regarding the family rooms. There are no family rooms so my friend needed to sleep on a foldaway bed. It was not a huge issue but it was something we were unaware about until we arrived.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hostel. Very clean and quiet
7.5 Good
Pros: Cheap and location in the village.
Cons: Check out is a little bit early.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy, beautiful location, very friendly staff
Cons: No double beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, very well organised. Comfortable beds
Cons: Perhaps more toilets... only 2 near the bedrooms. Problem with one of the showers running very hot. Only left one usable shower
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was lovely, great, super kind, and really helpful! They gave me really good tips on where to go, what to visit, how to get there. I felt very safe - which was a high priority as was traveling alone. I met amazing people here - I am truly grateful for this as well! :) Location is also great! :)
Cons: USB charger for phones/electronics would be nice to have in the rooms for people outside of UK --- on the other hand the staff was really nice about it & they charged my phone when I needed that. Not being able to check in before 17h was a bit uncomfortable --- but they let me leave my luggage there until check-in time arrived. I could also leave my luggage there for half a day after check-out for the time I was hiking that day, so that was really sweet and kind too. As the staff was really kind about finding and offering solutions for the inconveniences, I would rather say these are recommendations for future improvement.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and helpful, they were very flexible with the check-in hours. Also, the hostel room it was better than many I have seen, very tidy and clean.
Cons: It's a bit noisy because of the main street just in front of the building but fortunately is not too bad in the night when the traffic is less.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this was so good for the price! You don't expect a luxury room suite in a youth hostel but this did exactly what it said on the tin - and more! The beds were comfortable, the shared bathrooms were clean and accessible and there were great facilities including a shared kitchen (with fridge) and lounge. The breakfast in the morning was superb (tasted like a lovely farm shop sausage!) and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Catered for me with vegan food. Staff were amazing
Cons: There wasn’t anything to not like
7.9 Good
Pros: The location of the hostel to tourist hotspots and great hiking spots (e.g. Stanage Edge and Kinder Scout were all easily accessible by foot or vehicle). The staff were very friendly. The fact that there were refillable water units was convenient. The level of comfort of the room helped me sleep well especially after some long hikes.
Cons: The car park is too small. Also, you sometimes have to ask other residents/guests to move their cars so you can get in and out of the car park which is a bit awkward. There is no WiFi or if there is, it would be nice if you could access it in areas other than reception or the common room.

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, evening meals were good. lively bar area
Cons: no real problems, but anyoneone wanting wifi in their rooms (I stayed in room 5 and 6) may be dissappointed, however wifi in bar and restaurant areas were very good.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location in the middle of the village. Food of what we had in the bar was excellent. Nice biscuits with the tea coffee facilities in the room! Good breakfast.
Cons: Room extremely cramped. Don't bring the cat, you won't be able to swing it!! The biggest issue we had was the matter of having to leave the key in when going out linked with the 11pm curfew! We knew when booking about the requirement to be back by 11pm as being a pub you can be locked out and didn't have a problem with this when booking. However, on our first night we left the premises about 9.45 to see what else was in the village and knowing we would be back before 11pm didn't leave in the key which was both for our convenience and not wanting to bother the barman. On our return which was about 10.30pm we got a drink at the bar and at 11.05 my wife ordered a second drink. We were told it was too late and we are not residents, bare in mind this was the same man that had dealt with me about 5 times prior to that between check in, getting dinner, a drink etc and I was there to be seen. My wife replied by saying we were residents to which she received a severe telling off for not leaving in the key and running the risk of being locked out. He was then told we had every intention of being back on time but this made no difference and reluctantly served the drink. Seriously, come on, it's not a group of school children you were dealing with. The barman was the older of the two barmen we saw and may have been the owner, not sure. Sorry but wouldn't stay again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The food was great, both dinner and breakfast.
Cons: Room had no place to put luggage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location with the friendliest staff. Exceptional service with a smile who made this comfy Inn feel like a home from home. Delicious evening meal and breakfast that i'd highly recommend. Muddy boots and paws welcome!
7.9 Good
Pros: A really nice pub with good beers and food, the room was pleasant and comfortable. Walkable from Hope station (there are buses too) and great for walking or for events at Peak Cavern.
Cons: Was a bit weird being told we had to be back by midnight as they lock up! Locked til 7am I think Couldn't fathom out the radiator at all (that could have been us though)
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly, deluxe room presented well in terms of decor.
Cons: The deluxe room was on the ground floor and literally on the street so exceptionally open and noisy. Hardly got any sleep due to traffic noise and noise from the staff going down the passageway early in the morning. It should have been explained when booking that this although a very well presented room, was very noisy and felt completely open and on the road.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great and friendly staff
Cons: The noise from traffic was terrible, we got very little sleep we booked the premium room 7, and did not expect it to be on the ground floor on the road side with very little day light and have people walking past the room late into the night. On the up side the room was clean and has a nice shower and comfy bed.

Pros: Everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful location with endless parking, cosy room and well appointed pub for start - end expedition comfort.
Cons: No view - can't have everything ;o)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was properly dog friendly. Good food.
Cons: The staff were really friendly and helpful, but even better would've been if they were knowledgeable with directions for the (fantastic!) nearby walks.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, car parking, pub was nice and the breakfast was great. Dog friendly pub and room which was the reason for the booking.
Cons: Our room (7) had a wet room which had a constantly heavily dripping shower head which caused the room to feel damp. We opened the window to vent it, which improved, but it needed fixing as it was noisy. The room only had the one ground floor window and it was a large casement one which could be easily climbed through, so we were uncomfortable leaving it open. It could do with a smaller opening transom/fixed window unit that allowed security and fresh air.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Shockingly Bad Breakfast. My 5 year old could cook scrambled eggs better. # flipflop
