9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our 'luxury' room was huge so we were comfortable. There is a travel desk (Hamsa Travels) in-house where transport to the World Heritage listed sites can be arranged. Fares are not cheap! Reasonable restaurant. We had an early checkout so the hotel provided us with take-away breakfasts for our trip. The only hotel which replenished teabags/coffee sachets - appreciated!
Cons: Check-in was flustered &, for some reason, reception insisted that we were a group of 3. No information on the room facilities in the room, eg how to operate the TV The hotel is located in a grungy part of town (Hospet is not all that pretty anyway) - it doesn't encourage exploring! Breakfast staff struggle to have breakfast ready by 6.30am. Our bathroom was dingy & sorely in need of renovating - but I am talking aesthetics for the tariff! Cold shower on our last morning - unimpressed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good experience.like to stay again in future if we go.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast at the restaurant right across from the hotel. Good choice - I have seen better, but not complaining, this was still pretty good. Good decor in the grounds.
Cons: TV didn't work. In fact, the hotel had not checked this at all - the TV cable had been pulled out of the wall. I reconnected and tried the TV - still didn't work (probably the reason it was not connected in the first place). Tried a USB charger in that power outlet, but the outlet itself was bad. Low fruit choices at breakfast. The old wing has rooms that are very old looking (to be fair, the front desk folks asked me to look at the room first and offered to move me to a different room by paying the difference in price).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good decent hotel. Well maintained but the age shows a bit. Large rooms. Great F&B team. The food was unexpectedly good. Nice touch with the pan shop on premises. The travel planning was decent as well. All-in-all a good place to stay if visiting Hampi.
Cons: The fixtures in the room could have been better. The view from our room was not the best - with a junkyard at the back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb! Room are very clean, spacious and equipped with everything one may need. The breakfast is plentiful and the restaurant attached to the hotel very good. Highly recommend it.
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Helpful staff allowed us an early check-in. Great onsite spa/massage facilities (though they will try to upsell you to higher priced packages). Comfortable bed. Delicious buffet breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom is a bit dingy and the overhead shower didn't always work. The power kept going off for short intervals (approx 5 seconds each time), this happened about 8 times on the day/night we spent at Malligi. Location is not great for walking around but you can get autos everywhere easily.
