8.0 Excellent
Pros: Typical adequate continental breakfast
Cons: Nothing it was as expected
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The hotel was awful. Very noisy and intimidating. Awful location. We didn't feel safe leaving our car in the car park. No security gates or locked doors at night. Anyone could walk in and reception closes at 9pm. Didn't get any sleep at all. Mostly due to the noise from the room next door. Corridors smelled of food cooking. There was no shower in the room and the toilet smelled of sewage all night. The notice on the wall in the room saying there had been too many incidents of trouble so if there was any trouble from us money would be taken from our credit card did not make us feel very safe. We stayed with two young children and felt very vulnerable. I am appalled that booking.com even promotes this sort of hotel.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Room stank of smoke in a non-smoking hotel. Staff should have detected this when replacing sheets & cleaning.
6.7 Good
Pros: Possibly to wash clothes cheap.
Cons: Communal shower.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Price
Cons: The staff were not helpful
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 2 minutes walk from the bus stop to take you into Caen. A fantastic machine is in the entrance that will give you your key so there's no need to worry about a late check-in. Lovely quiet little hotel in an industrial estate from what I could tell, but I thought that that was fine. You get a simple room, I had a double bed with a telly, desk and an en-suite toilet and wash-hand basin which was perfect for me. I didn't have breakfast here so I can't comment on that. There were three showers on my floor that worked alright, they were push-button style to save water.
Cons: It was a bit out of the way, I walked into Caen on the first day and it was a fair old trek of 3 miles. At least the bus stop is nearby and the tickets aren't very expensive (€4 for 24-hour bus pass) so that's not too much of a problem. It would have been better if the cost of the room was a bit cheaper but from what I can tell that's the standard price around this area.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very handy for the ferry from Caen. close to the motorway network. Easy PIN code check in for arrival out of hours
Cons: Very hot on the night we stayed. Shared showers on the landing outside the room.

7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect mid route stop over point. Didn’t need any frills. Children lived the fact that their sleeping area was on a mezzanine - so they had twin beds as opposed to a bunk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Access from motorway network and next to hypermarket.
Cons: Sound proofing not very good from noisy other guests.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast looked ok but I didnt book that. The location is in South of Caen which was fine but if I was going there again I would stay at Myhotel which is nearby and cheaper
Cons: I stayed alone but two "city taxes" were added to the agreed amount to pay, even though the booking price said included all taxes. Its only a couple of euros but the price of this room was already above neighbouring hotels

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like people so kind people so friendly people so happy I I like it

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I made booking for my friends. They were satisfied by price and helpful staff
Cons: Guests faced with bad wifi connection
5.0 Okay
Cons: Supply towels, we had to go and buy towels to take a shower and wash hands.
7.0 Good
Pros: All good
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I travelled on a motorcycle so the location was perfect. There's a supermarket nearby to do all your necessary shopping, rooms are clean and tidy, beds comfy. Staff very helpful - there was a huge group of french teenagers staying at the same time and making more noise than I could imagine, so for my own comfort they gave me a room in the most quiet wing of the hotel :)
Cons: Toilets/shower rooms are more like the ones you'd find on a train. I get the idea but still - too wet inside and a bit too dirty. Hot water turns off way too fast.
6.0 Good
Pros: My first thought at arriving (4km from town and 20e by Uber - there are only a few drivers in the town) was that of having made a very great blunder. However, with a bit of research regarding public transport (next to non-existant on Sundays) the place became tolerable. The #2 bus takes one to within 15 minutes (walking) of the palce and the 6a, from the rainway station, to a drop point that is very close to the hotel. 6b, on the other side of the road, takes one through town to the railway station. There is a supermarket and two reasonable restrurants within close walking distance and the breakfast, although basic, is adequate.
Cons: Apparently F1 hotels are a standard feature in France. They tend to be fequented by families that are travelling and have thier own transport. The rooms are adequate but basic with common ablution areas but no facilities for self-help coffee or tea other than primitive low-quality vending machines. As to the Wifi itself I would rate it as average-to-poor; particularly in the evenings with 30%+ packet losses but is acceptable (just) throughout the day.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good
7.0 Good

Cons: Odd stain on wall, chairs etc.

Pros: Staff,. Cleanliness, very good for local people who want to hit bar.
Cons: This is not a 4star property. Room size is small. And sofa bed and double bed wasn't comfortable. The bin is very small for an apartment.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: good selection clean & tidy presentation
Cons: unable to obtain "proper"english tea & milk to enable a cup of tea to be made early morning. Not everyone likes Earl Grey and/or herbal teas they are just fancy brands. Neither the hand or bath towels were changed during our 3day stay.

Cons: girl receiving me was only busy looking at her computer, made me feel akward and uncomfortable. No real connextion

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Pool was very well needed after a hot day at Juno Beach. The restaurant food was lovely and the buffet breakfast was amazing - and the kids ate FREE! Thank you
Cons: nothing
5.4 Okay
Cons: The staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke good English , but there simply were not enough of them. Example both evenings there were two bus loads of people - at least 80 people - staying to see the WWII battlefields plus perhaps 30 other guests. There were only two waiters for the bus parties and one poor chap who was waiting on the other guests and also manning the bar (for all 100+ guests). Also on reception, only one person - very helpful but there were a lot of people waiting with queries. Too much cost cutting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were particularly helpful in assisting with my little grandson’s needs. He has allergies and therefore there is a need for extreme vigilance. Owing to a car breakdown on their return journey I booked another room for them and the breakdown necessitated a further night’s stay. Throughout this time the staff immediately recognised my family and stepped forward to assist again - making a traumatic time less stressful. Many thanks to all - especially Sarah !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was excellent
6.7 Good
Cons: Expensive, and the breakfast even more so.

7.9 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable It had enough parking lots and was easy to get to from the highway The staff was friendly and helpfull
Cons: the room I was inneeded some updates and repairs
7.0 Good
Pros: For people who are travelling and simply are looking for a place to spend the night, this hotel is perfectly located - there's quick and easy access to the motorway and to filling-stations close by. Since the hotel is located in a business park, there is no need to expect romantic or inviting parks for walks. It is pragmatically functional with a rich and well-balanced breakfast. The bread/croissants are fresh, the coffee is delicious but there's also tea on offer. The room we had was clean and quiet. The staff is very forthcoming, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: There's nothing to mention here, because for a budget hotel this place absolutely met my expectations with a satisfactorily big room, and a breakfast that is more than you usually get in a budget hotel!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was clean and location was good
Cons: WiFi was no good at all, I could not connect
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed, very clean, excellent breakfast

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Free parking, convenient location.
Cons: Firstly was a strange set up with checkin in, you had to use a self serve check in if it was between the hours of 1100 to 1700 as reception was not staff between these hours, self check in was simple enough but just strange. Once in the hotel room, a cleaner knocked but walked straight in with towels, didn’t even give me a chance to get up to answer the door. Breakfast consists of basically bread! When we wanted to check out, we couldn’t get actually leave the hotel as the doors wouldn’t open, luckily the window cleaner typed in the code from the outside to let us out, again no sign of anyone that worked there. At not one point did we see any reception staff at this hotel. Just a very strange set up!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: was ok
Cons: when we arrived,we had to wait about 10-15 min due to the phone conversation by the receptioner and finally without a sorry.....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Probably our 6th or 7th stay - perfect for the morning ferry from Caen to Portsmouth
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Regrettably there was no sliding door on the Shower and the floor got flooded, no drainage to keep the floor dry ! Not enough pillows.
Cons: See above !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, tidy, comfortable, good value
Cons: I arrived late at night on a motorbike, tired and cold which probably explains why I found the unmanned automated check in a little confusing. It wasn't clear at first which of the 3 references I had were needed for door entry.
6.0 Good
Pros: Affordable, clean
Cons: Air conditioning did not work and it was 90+...terrible!

Pros: Excellent location Almost everything close by,,
Cons: Kind staff,Location,,clean enough.I booked a suite And Double room, even though suite is smaller good enough for a day and night
6.0 Good
Pros: A very good breakfast buffet
Cons: Small cheap paper and plastic cups in the room and small towels were something I would expect from a 2 star not a 4 star hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly. Early check in and comfortable room
Cons: No restaurant after breakfast. No room service over weekend. Breakfast only average
6.3 Good
Pros: Location Sunday market immediate outside underground carpark
Cons: Small bedroom not enough To swing a cat room not cleaned to satisfaction hard towels with whlff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel on site Parking very easy to access and use even with a large estate car which was what I was looking for and is always important to me. The charges were very fair and the hotel let us leave the car whilst we had an interview after checking out. Much appreciated. The hotel has a nice luxury air with a wonderful atrium space used for meetings etc. It is clearly used by the local business community. There is a nice bar on site but no restaurant though there are plenty in the immediate vicinity. The room was typical with plenty of space and very clean. Colours used throughout are dark to give an air of opulence but some may find it not to their taste. There is a lot of nice artwork displayed. The buffet breakfast area is pleasant and the buffet itself of good quality apart from the coffee.
Cons: The coffee at breakfast. Not sure why but it was awful. Traditional mellita bean to cup machine so should have been ok but it was lukewarm and undrinkable. I did not raise it with the staff as I was rather preoccupied with my important rdv that day but there were plenty of staff on duty who were all friendly and they may have been able to make me some coffee had I asked! I understand why a hotel has showers over a bath but it feels old fashioned perhaps hotels could consider Italian shower or bath over shower like twin or double beds and offer clients a choice. But the shower functioned well.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Not clean. It’s dirty. Not very pleasant to sleep near the sink. And you have to walk across the room with your dirty hands to wash your hands after you go to toilet. Literally strange experience. On top, it’s not cheap either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like this IBIS, have stayed twice now, it’s a great spot for trams, bus and rail. The staff are lovely and helpful
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is opposite the main railway station of Caen but on the seedy side which may feel uncomfortable at night. The street has recently been renovated and a tram is running there but stil. When I arrived there were problems with the ICT so I could not properly check in. The room was large but basic with an oversized bathroom and the sink in a corner of the room The room can sleep three with a single bed square over the double bed Free Wifi internet was not stable and failed from time to time
Cons: The breakfast buffet was horrible when I was there, nothing was supplemented. No coffee, no juice, no cutlery. I had to go to the front desk to get some action. Besides that the quality of the food was low

7.9 Good
Cons: No closets, no drawers for clothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I always stay here in Caen - has everything I need!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, the room was suitable for 1 night stay, the area and the hotel was very quiet. The staff was kind and helpful with us. We had everything what we needed in a close location to catch the irish ferry in time. The breakfest was rich and tasty.
Cons: The city centre can be reached in 5 min by car or you have to walk 30 min. They prepeared tea and coffee for the morning, but with 1 dl glasses made of plastic. Not suitable to drink tea or coffee made of hot water in the morning. We would need at least normal mugs.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel, very well located just off the main Caen ring road. Easy access and handy car park. Excellent bed and sheets, warm room (we stayed in January). There is a lift to the upper floors. Lovely buffet breakfast with a reasonable choice of cold meats, cheese, fruit, etc.. set in a pleasant and bright breakfast room. 24hr check in is great because we arrived quite late. We'll stay here again.
Cons: The bathroom is on the small side (but good shower and sink though) - not a lot of room to swing a towel....
7.0 Good
Cons: Got ripped. I booked including breakfast but ended up having to pay extra. I could have got the same room for almost 20 euro's less. Perhaps not the hotels fault, but they were very unsympathetic. Called booking.com and was treated very badly. I use booking.com a lot, 15 or more times a year. Time to look for an alternative.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast.... Good. This was a cold buffet, in an attractive dining room. The staff were unobtrusive. Most other guests were 'business types', quietly engrossed in their smartphones - except for one 'exotic' couple who were deeply engrossed in each other.
Cons: The shower cubicle was clearly intended for hobbits, leprechauns and other 'wee folk'. We found it impossible to turn round without forcing the shower tap-handle to 'blistering hot' or 'freezing cold'. The rest of the bedroom facility was just fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellence all round, friendly, helpful and polite staff, bar and bistro very good, variety of choice on bistro menu for evening meal which was of excellent quality. The fact that pets are permitted in the rooms was a plus, enabling us to bring our dog on the journey. Good location as an overnight stop en route to the ferry port leaving a short drive to catch the early morning sailing

Pros: The location was convenient to travel to the port for the early morning ferry.
Cons: The hotel was adequate but finding it was a nightmare in the dark, there was a very large sign that just said "HOTEL" but no name,After going round several times looking for the hotel name I decided to ask at the hotel for directions and then I saw the hotel name in small letters over the entrance. As I had not used that hotel before I did not know it was the only hotel on that complex. Perhaps it would be helpful to advise travelers that the building only said "HOTEL" and also to put the hotel name on a signpost on the roadside at the entrance to their car park.
7.9 Good
Pros: We always stay here the night before we get the ferry home. It’s a safe bet... from the absolutely lovely woman that checks us in year after year (she really is a gem) to the simple predictable comfort of the room, to the Del Arte restaurant a short walk away or the 24/7 petrol station nearby... this just works for us!
Cons: it’s all good... nothing to type here!
6.7 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff. Helpful when we couldn't check-in with the automatic counter.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really easy to find, and next day visit the nearby must see Memorial Museum, then get back onto the ferry route. Our room was really clean, the bed very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the trees & greenery outside our window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: DIY Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast 5*. The restaurant food was delicious and good value for money, especially for France.
Cons: Can't think of anything I didn't find wanting. Maybe some warm eggs?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for me, I have stayed here before and will again, probably two nights on my way back to UK
Cons: Disappointed no meals.... but the recommendation to the Steak House nearby was inspired
5.4 Okay
Pros: We have been staying here for years as it is very convenient for the Caen ferry. Restaurant has been good in the past, but we didn't use it this time.
Cons: Decor is dated and looks shabby. There is no longer provision for tea and coffee in the room, which we miss as we always arrive here late and need to leave early. It can be rather hot and stuffy on a warm night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff good breakfast plenty of free parking convenient for port.
Cons: The room was only made up for one person so missing towels and coffee etc. Towels and bedding very tired not enough soap. Not nearly as good as we hoped after staying in other Brit Hotels.

7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect mid route stop over point.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Sound proofing of rooms was sub standard
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: Affordable and convenient
