Pros: Friendly staff. very clean and modern
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my first YHA stay. Staff were welcoming, they and guests alike were helpful and friendly. My room had 3 2-tier bunks, with excellent ladder for the top bunk. I slept on a lower bunk, and there was only one other guest in the room. I slept well. Loved the shower cubicles doors! Excellent breakfast! The chef very kindly came up and knocked on my door to ask if I still required cooked breakfast: I did! When I went downstairs she showed me all the breakfast cereals, juices etc, and brought me my lovely scrambled eggs on toast and some pastries. By this time everyone else had gone, but I was very happy to eat alone looking at the pictures, ornaments, bookshelves in the dining room, and the view. Later I wanted to go for a walk before getting a taxi to take me to the Tall Ship Tenacious: the chef locked my luggage away safely, and even rang for the taxi when I got back. I really appreciated her help and her friendly chat.
Cons: I didn't see a spare blanket, should have asked for one.

Cons: Room was smaller than expected but we weren't in ours much. However, should you be in a group the downstairs lounge is a good idea. Only access to rooms is an outside staircase which is not pleasant in inclement weather. Shower cubicle small. Good hot water supply though. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss.

5.8 Okay
Cons: The food and drink prices
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warm welcome, the friendliness of the staff in all departments, the cleanliness and above all the smile when asking for anything. Would recommend and will return.
Cons: The only complaint I registered when leaving was with the chef on Monday morning. We were sat eating breakfast and looking at the breakfast bar when the chef used the same pair of tongs to rearrange, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms , sausages and tomatoes. My wife has an EXTREME allergy to mushrooms, even the juice will make her violently ill. This could have ruined a wonderful weekend. Up till now we rated the hotel at 100% We had no choice but to complain , as this may have ruined our holiday, or perhaps someone else with this allergy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff could not be more helpful and even did balloons and sparkles on the table as it was my 60th along with another friends birthday and wedding anniversary
Cons: Potholes in the carpark
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely pool with swim towels provided. Nice to have a hotel that provides family rooms for 5 people.
Cons: Not enough parking, we had to leave our car on the road a few streets away
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were exceptional in extremely difficiult circumstances, the onset of Coronavirus.
Cons: We were told all the facilities were open, only to be told on arrival they were shut. Had to remain in our room and eat food in our rooms.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Not much to be honest
Cons: The room was very dated, cramped and uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So clean and comfortable
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bar staff and reception were all friendly and helpful
Cons: The management! We had a soul music event in the ballroom but they had a sound limiter set up which kept the cutting dead every 10 minutes. Despite our complaints the management did little to assist us. If they did not want music at the event then don’t accept the booking. Very poor

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First off, we loved Rachael who greeted us, helped us find things and even brought us hot chocolate while we gazed out the window at the rain covered streets. She was so nice and made a big impact on us. Then there is Kevin who only smiled and helped when I told him that my wife locked our keys in the room. The place was great but the staff made this place special. When we were writing out the highlights of our trip B&B Weymouth's own Rachael and Kevin made the list. I would recommend this place to our friends.
Cons: That we only stayed there one night. We were traveling through and would have loved to stay for a week or so.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and bathroom. I just like the general ambiance of the Crown, which is why I've stated there many times. I did not have breakfast as I was taking part in the Weymouth 10K, starting in the morning. However I know the breakfast is very good, having stayed here before.
Cons: It was very noisy outside our room until the early hours, caused by late night revellers. This of course is not the fault of the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location next to harbour. bar staff, house-keeping staff lovely & friendly. Room extremely clean a little dated but has everything you would need. A very enjoyable 3 night stay. Thank you.

Cons: Beggars outside asking for money
7.0 Good
Pros: A great location, the Crown hotel is right on the Harbour, everything is near by the hotel.
Cons: The Television was ridiculous it was only about 14 inches wide and high up which made it difficult to see, you needed a magnifying glass to see the blooming screen.

6.7 Good
Pros: The view, the staff at the reception.
Cons: Not as clean as I wish, they enter in your room to change the bin without asking, the bathroom had mould, outside was noisy.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Dining area and breakfast. Cheerful staff who were very helpful. The style of the building.
Cons: The 'Hotel' was built in 1930's and was run by Pontins for a long period prior to going to private ownership in 1999. It is a grade 2 listed building, but requires some serious updating . The accommodation was just adequate and could be described as a 'pretentious Pontins.' For the price paid I would have expected something far more sumptuous. It was booked for the wedding night of myself and new bride. Our rating is 'disappointing'
5.0 Okay
Cons: Funny room very compact, bedsheets were dirty already not a pleasant experience
4.0 Okay
Pros: Good Breakfast
Cons: General walkways were in a poor state rooms are tired.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathrooms were think with dust, looks really worn down, the lights some worked some didn’t the fridge cut out in the middle of the night! And the beds were so uncomfortable and hard that we didn’t sleep at all! The windows didn’t shut properly so very windy and the door kept banging too! Also didn’t use the indoor pool as it’s temperature was freezing and sand all in the bottom

4.8 Okay
Pros: View was lovely, breakfast was lovely ,staff was lovely and friendly at breakfast time
Cons: The room we stayed in was supposed to be the best room of the house hate to think what other rooms are like ?there was dust in the room on skirting and tops of doors .cigarette burn on carpet by balcony.outside balcony was like a ash tray .people smoke out by the main door entrance the smell come straight in the room not nice if you are not a smoker. when we came back to our room for a rest we did not expect one of the owners to bring a couple in to look at the room we was staying in very uncomfortable feeling I thought it was rather rude to do that . By the look of the shower it was broken and taped together why don’t they replace with new one ? Dated furniture but ok the only thing I would say is the best part of the room was the view that’s it . Shame really I was expecting better for the money been to others in Weymouth and not as expensive and a lot better

8.0 Excellent
Pros: WE had a sea view room which really added to our pleasure. The morning sun streaming through the window.
Cons: The curtains should have provided more of a black out as the hotel had a bright light fixed to the wall near the window, and this entered the room too much for a good nights sleep.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was large, well decorated, clean and with a great view.
Cons: Hotel facilities are non existent & communal areas are very drab.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly room was a fair size with a nice bathroom, food was lovely and reasonably priced bed was very comfortable

7.9 Good
Pros: Despite the size, beds were very comfortable and warm. Bathroom was very good and good coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good and varied and staff were polite. Large relaxing lobby downstairs.
Cons: Our room was very cold, and a little small. Bed was a bit small for this 6 ft guy. TV was very small with poor viewing angle when you were in bed. 2 plug sockets in room, 1 of which was used for tv and inaccessible for us. Not ideal for charging phones. Lobby had no available plug sockets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location brilliant, room basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was out of this world. Great value for the money
1.0 Poor
Pros: nothing
Cons: im filling this in for my dad, he has a bad heart, there was no heating that worked, and he was in his words shivering in his room, unless the sun was around the back of the hotel, no soap or shower stuff in bathroom either and the staff where uninterested in solving the issue just a srugg of the shoulders...... think a refund should be issued, will not be recommending it or staying again. 2 star what a joke should be closed......
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The friendliness and efficiency of the staff serving breakfast. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: Reception staff were curt, to the point of rudeness, except the man on duty on Sunday morning). My phone call re lift availability left me reassured I could access all areas of the hotel, hence the booking. Wrong... Steps from lift to room, which was mean, dated and uncomfortable!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although having to start closing down because of the Coronavirus, staff friendly and courteous, room was not serviced but understandable in the circumstances.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and Julie, the breakfast hostess, was helpful and very friendly. The restaurant and reception were superbly decorated with a sea/beach theme. The room was wonderful with beautiful sea views. The decor was lovely too. We had very comfortable beds and all we needed. We stayed at the Mon Ami after changing our room. All of the staff were superb but especially Lia ,Julie and Angie.
Cons: The lifts were very small and we had to go in two to get to our room with lots of doors to negotiate, but at least there were lifts there which was very positive. The rooms were very hot, despite heating not being on. Not sure what could be done about that really. Fans maybe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to seafront and railway station. Spacious, comfortable room. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff.
Cons: The hotel is undergoing refurbishment at the time of writing (March 2020). This did not bother me as I simply needed a reasonable setting for an overnight stay. However, the building work means that the hotel does not have much in the way of ambience right now.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Had to pay for breakfast which was nice. But for the rooms they need to drop the price. Some of the rooms are like back street b&b.
Cons: The first room I got shown curtains didn't fit the window. And freezing cold musty smell. Got shown another room the paper coming away from the walls damp smell in the shower room. Parts of hotel being decorated. Booked to be in one hotel then was asked to go to the adjoining one. Then the room after the 3rd time was one of the modern ones. Which I took. Was asked to leave car keys just in case I was in the way. I parked right up against the wall not blocking anything. I go to my car found they had move it they said was in the way. No it was for there family member. They wanted to park where I was. The owner and some of the family members where a matter of fact. Need to learn how to speak to customers. Bar staff Abby was excellent but run ragged checking people in. Serving the customers drink. Then taking food to tables. And letting people in the front door up one floor. Not worth the money.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Rooms was dirty and had mould around the toilet and shower. The reception and other areas within the hotel are in need of a refurbishment .We had no hot water and the room had a musky smell. Only positive was the breakfast which was cooked well . Would not return .

Pros: I liked the decor of the room and the facilities available. I like that they advertise that that are green and eco friendly as possible. A great size bed for a single room! Good price including breakfast which was lovely. Good manors and attentive
Cons: I wasn't very comfortable in my bed as it was a bit firm for my back, in room 112, I have given my feedback to them already. I had a great response from them about progression to change depending on feedback.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff were great and the value for money
Cons: Around the bed in between the bed and chest of drawers was very dirty including bottle lids and jewelry from previous people. When I got there also they had relocated us to another room which was not what I paid for.. eventually we got moved
