Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Pros: Absolute perfect room, really clean, beautiful and comfortable. And very good breakfast.
Cons: Hotel restaurant was closed in 9 p.m. And in this nice city was most of restaurants closed about 10 p.m.
The Hotel Kapos right in the centre of Kaposvár offers you comfortably furnished rooms and fine Hungarian cuisine, right by the central Kossuth square. Private parking is possible on site. The hotel building always played a central role in Kaposvár’s thriving life during the past centuries, functioning as a meeting place for business people, artists and travellers - a place where one could lay back, indulge in culinary pleasures and spend peaceful nights. In the restaurant of the Kapos hotel you can choose from a wide range of meals, from traditional Hungarian to light dishes, delicious salads and tasty desserts. The traditional Kapos Café invites you to spend relaxing hours reading newspapers, drinking aromatic coffee or tea and enjoying home-made cakes and confectionery. In summer you can sit on the terrace having an iced coffee or an ice cream. The Kapos hotel is easily reachable from the M7/E67 motorway, it is 60 km away from the Fly Balaton airport and 200 km from Budapest.
Pros: personal was very friendly
Pros: The hotel is situated on the main square of the city. Great views, plenty of restaurants.
Cons: Church bells are frequent and looks coming from the church across the square. They stop around midnight and start again at 6 am.
Pros: On the plus side there is the location of the hotel, in the city center, which helps. The city center is actually beautiful, from an urban and architectural point of view.
Cons: There are a lot of minuses for this hotel, unfortunately, but, with a little bit of effort, things can be improved: - the entrance, halls and rooms are not renovated, they look really old. Not at 3* standard. - there was no AC in the rooms, which a 3* hotel should have, and only ventilators where provided, despite over 30 degrees outside. - the breakfast could be a little more varied. With a little bit of investment in design, finishing and furnishing, this could well be a 8+ or even a 9 rating hotel. I would pay double for such a hotel in such helpful surroundings.
Pros: The location was excellent right in the main historic plaza which is all pedestrian. Very clean, well kept and beautiful town or little City. Good price for our stay. Not much choice in Town, however this hotel is in an excellent location. Good windows and balcony.
Cons: As some one put it this hotel is the ugliest building in the most beautiful plaza in the town or City. Breakfast was standard budget hotel. Air conditioning was portable unit which was a little noisy and struggled to keep things cool.
Pros: Very good location
Pros: Housed in an ugly concrete building on Kaposvar’s otherwise charming main square, Hotel Kapos offers decent, albeit sparsely furnished rooms (no cupboard or wardrobe, just a moveable clothesrack) with clean but rather old-fashioned bathrooms. The bed was comfortable and breakfast more than adequate with good coffee and fresh bread. The orange juice, however, was heavily diluted.
Cons: The colour scheme in the room was pretty odd with orange curtains and a pink bedspread fighting cream-coloured walls and grey furniture. But after all, you’re only there to close your eyes and have a good sleep.
Pros: Hotel lovely restaurant was fantastic
Cons: Beds horrible to hard couldn't sleep well
Pros: Nincs staff, breakfast was good
Cons: No air condition
Pros: Price, parking area nearby, reception open 24h
Cons: the bed/matress was not specially comfortable
