Beautiful rooms but staffing was subpar
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated.
I didn't like that you didn't have enough staff in the middle of the night. I believe that there should never be a 15 min wait for someone to help you check in. I understand that my boyfriend and I checked in late but we waited for thirty minutes until someone could help us. Luckily enough the gentleman that checked us in was curterious and we could tell that he was being split between three different areas. If we hadn't paid already, we would have left.

The location was excellent. I enjoyed being able to walk to shops, restaurants and the boardwalk. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Parking was free for hotel guests. Room stayed nice and cool. Enjoyed having a mini fridge in the room. It enabled us to be able to take cold water with us, much needed on hot afternoons, and because water in most vending machines and at the boardwalk is $3.00 each. Walk-in shower was nice, however, the water pressure was not adequate.
Staff was mediocre. Meaning they were somewhat professional and took care of requests in a timely manner, but lacking in hospitality. Never asked how our stay was or really seemed interested. I had booked via booking website. I reserved and paid for a spacious double queen room because we were needing a roll away bed for our 5-year old. We were given the standard double queen room and the hotel does not have roll away beds at all, as stated on the website. We had to purchase an air bed from WalMart. Hotel rate was overpriced, in my opinion. The small, outdoor pool has no shady area and only 1 umbrella. Not great when you've already been in the Texas sun all day. My husband left the room key on the table while swimming with our son and someone took it.
