Pros: Nice spacious room, good location, service, and restaurant.
Cons: Internet good be better.
Pros: Location. Staff.
Cons: Noise coming from the street. Poor noise isolation.
Pros: very nice hotel, clean, cozy, they even provide slippers and bathing gowns. you can park behind the hotel good location, close to downtown, all the sightseeing and a cool restaurant "darling, i will be late" - steak there was not cheap but very good! breakfast is included in the room rate, it is rather basic but very rich
Cons: wi-fi is rather slow, so dont expect to be able to streamline video content.
Pros: Location is great - Sovetskaya street is in the very center of the town, most interesting places can be reached easily. Central heating works well, which is very important in Russia during winter. The water was hot as well - which is not obvious outside Moscow and St Pet. Personnel reacted all requests - nothing bad to say. Service itself is good. It was clean and quiet enough.
Cons: The breakfast was bad. Almost absent. The administration should pay attention on it.
Pros: Wonderful host, we'll run hotel, very friendly, very informative in terms of sights to see. Just a great stay!
Cons: The room was a bit small, but not a big deal.

Pros: The restaurant is really good and the terrace on the rooftop provides for a wonderful view over the Volga river and Kostroma.
Cons: Surroundings are somewhat rundown. There is the waterfront on the Volga and the spectacular view but to the back of the hotel there is nothing to see or do.
Pros: The rooms look exactly as on the picture. View of the river was awesome. Staff is great.
Cons: We stuck with a couple of issues during our stay: - it was too cold in the room and no chance to turn on a/c; - The smell was not good too. It's like somebody just smoke in the room (but we asked to change the room and staff help us immediately!). - the other room was very nice and spacey, but another smell was there again. - we saw some minor facility issues with a sink and door, but the staff was very helpful to fix it. - the breakfast, unfortunately, was too poor. - the hotel located a little bit far from everything like shops and restaurants, BUT you can book a taxi for less than 2 USD which is great.

Pros: Next to Volga river
Cons: Even the taxi can't find the place.
Pros: There is incredible view on Volga from the balcony! You may listen nature 24/7. Tasty russian homelike breakfast. Helpful and welcoming administration. The interior of the hotel and rooms plunges into the atmosphere of past centuries. You feel like staying at Ostrovsky home.
Cons: Soundproofing needs to be improved. The system of wi-fi access is complicated. You need to get the code from administrator, then out it through browser. And it's active only 1 day.
Pros: We liked location and proximity to major places of interests. Breakfasts were good with freshly cooked food.

Pros: A business chain type hotel on the road. Not much to add if you are familiar with this type of hotels. Rooms were decent size, clean and comfortable but not very personalized. Location, just before the bridge crossing. Strategically placed if you’re just passing by. Good value for money.
Cons: Soundproofing was not very good, could hear conversations from room next door past midnight.
Pros: Sauna facility ( at extra cost) are just incredible Girl at reception spoke good English!
Cons: Nothing, but really feels as a chain hotel
Pros: The bungalo was just awesome. We were two, but there was enough place for 4 people. It is a cosy place near the wood, birds sing in the morning, the air is very fresh. The staff is very polite, food in the restaurant is tasty. I definitely want to go there once more.
Cons: The hotel is a bit far from the center of a city. Also, in the evening the water in shower was yellow and I had an irritation on skin. If you have sensitive skin, don't take a bungalo, perhaps, it's the common problem for this type of accomodation.
Pros: The breakfast buffet was the best we had throughout our entire stay in Russia and the staff was also definitely the friendliest of all the hotels we stayed. The restaurant was amazing and very affordable so we ate there several times! We also made use of the sauna facilities and it made for a very relaxing evening.
Cons: Everything was great - I would definitely stay here again!
Pros: Location is great, but only if you are driving.
Pros: Nothing especially NOTHING.
Cons: Personal is so bad. they are not understanding.
Pros: Price is good
Cons: Breakfast is terrible For sure they have a different understanding what an omelet means Food is unpleasant
Pros: Nice soft colors in interior
Cons: I prefer two blankets for me and my husband, but only one was available.

Pros: Very good breakfast
Pros: Once upgraded, the room was very spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable. Staff is very kind and helpful. About 30 mins away from main sights, but an easy walk.
Cons: They have drastically different rooms according to price range, the ‘Budget’ rooms are very Soviet and basic. Breakfast was somewhat varied but not the best quality, and some were things you wouldn’t expect for breakfast like chicken and rice.
Pros: Location. Clean.
Cons: Noise when wind. Temperature in the room.
Pros: Amazing views on Volga river, cleanliness, cheapness
Located in Kostroma, Park Hotel Berendeevka is on a lake, a 5-minute drive from Old City Art Gallery and 5 minutes from Kostroma Ostrovsky State Drama Theatre. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is located inside a picturesque and quiet park. There is private parking near the houses. It was possible to pay with a card, despite the booking doesn't mention this possibility. The breakfast is quite decent for a place.
Cons: Very cheap furniture and interior. Beds are not comfortable. Shower can't hold one temperature even for five seconds. There was no coffee available for breakfast, no wifi in the restaurant. No mosquito nets on windows. No sound isolation -- you hear all your neighbors.
Pros: Only view
Pros: Forested dacha style location, log cabin room was nice
Cons: Polarised quality of staffing and non-guests taking over facilities. Reception good, kitchen/restaurant shockingly poor. Tried to go for dinner on first evening and found on site restaurant taken over by drunk aggressive locals. Put a big dampener on our time here. Borderline questioned safety of staying in the rural setting, as felt like there were a bunch of idiots lurking outside. Would not revisit. Pity as it's a beautiful place.

Cons: Towels are too small, matrasses are not comfortable, it was cold in the room
Pros: - Nice price. If not the bed, I would have said it was a good value for money. - There're one bathroom for every 2-3 rooms. We didn't have any neighbours, so the bathroom was fully ours.
Cons: - The bed was terrible, with come sort of a uneven wire-mesh on top of the mattress. I could'n sleep the whole night. I'm a frequent traveller, but this was the first time I've experienced such a bad bed! - Strange unpleasant smell of an old house, though the building is new. I couldn't get rid of it the whole next day, it just sticked to my belongings. - You have a microwave, tea kettle and a small fridge in a common area (one for every 2-3 rooms). But we had just one plate, and no tea cups or cutlery. We were able to ask for a knife to cut some cheese in the morning though.
