10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, idyllic location, delicious breakfast, very clean.
Cons: I could hear the people in the next room talking. They were just speaking in a normal voice, but it was quite audible. There was also occasional noise from the plumbing. I must hope that, due to the location and nature of the hotel, it would not attract any rowdy visitors, so noise shouldn’t be a problem most of the time.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: The bathroom is a little bit small
8.8 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extra comfortable. The staff were extremey friendly and accommodating. The restaurant menu was excellent and very varied, and the choice of wines was exceptional. Sauna available but I did not use it. It's a perfect place for couples and families, in a very quiet spot.
Cons: Nothing to say.

Cons: Owners have an expectation that you eat evening meals with them which is extra cost above advertised cost on I found that to be a little ackward.

7.1 Good
Cons: Small rooms. No coffee or water in the rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular location
Cons: Rooms were a bit dated and having to wait for 10 minutes in the morning to check out because the receptionist was on the phone.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, diner was a bit too classy (and expensive) for our liking. Room was quite small but cousy. The bedding was a bit warm for this time of year (september). The room lacked a refrigurator and the bath was very small.
Cons: Cheaper diner and more choice in menu. We thought the breakfast was included, but when checking out we were presented an extra bill for 19euries each for 1 breakfast. Quite expensive if you ask me.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is obviously reconstructed because everything appeared to be new. Very elegant and tasteful! It's placed in the middle of beautiful nature. No traffic there, absolutely quiet. The meals in the restaurant are excellent and fresh made - definitely no cafeteria food! The staff is very helpful with all questions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, clean, and quiet, warm and welcoming staff, delicious breakfast and dinner
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place if looking to escape from the city and follow the sun.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not very much.
Cons: The price is much to high compared to the delivered service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location - very quiet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was stunning. At the end of the road on top of a mountain above Ventron. Beautiful scenery, peace and quiet. Lovely, family run hotel, very clean and elegant. Luxurious. The chapel Ermitage St Joseph is nearby. We ate at the sister hotel next door called Ermitage St Joseph, where you could enjoy good local food and wines, sitting on the terrace, overlooking the valley.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Good location as starting point for hiking trips. Great view ! Rooms were clean
Cons: Internet presentation of hotel is misleading. Rooms are outdated and not cosy and welcoming. Bathrooms not practical. Breakfast is lacking variety
6.7 Good
Pros: - the location is great. On top of the hill - you can use the swimming pool of the hotel next door - the beds are ok - parking spots around the hotel
Cons: - it's an old hotel - breakfast is quite expensive for what you get - the hotel next door is much, much better (take a look before you decide!)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant place to live at ski resort. Easy and practical with young kids. Would need some renovation to modernise and rise value for money.

6.7 Good
Pros: POSITIVES: It's a 20-minute drive from La Bresse and the drive is beautiful because it takes you up into the mountain before you get there. The hotel was exactly as pictured. The chef spoke perfect English and jumped in to translate whenever needed. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good too. The desserts were delicious and they had a nice selection of tea. The room had a bathtub and enough space for our ski equipment. The fireplace in the restaurant was nice as well. There was parking on the property, with access to the back door, which made it easier to load and unload our luggage. The place was quiet and, for the most part, we slept well. The breakfast is composed of croissants, bread, marmalade, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereal, hot and cold drinks. There is a toaster provided as well, but no eggs, bacon nor sausages and it costs €9 per person. NEGATIVES: The things we didn't like are things that can easily be improved upon, if the owner would truly want to make this hotel a place where people are happy to return to. For example, when we returned from skiing the first evening, we arrived at the end of dinner service and since we had already eaten at the ski resort, we told the hotel manager or owner, that we were only interested in dessert. We were about to sit down at a table for 2 near the fireplace when she told us, "No, if it's just dessert, you have to sit over there." Anyone who cares about their clients, especially guests who are staying for an extended weekend, would have granted us the table of our choice. It was the end of dinner service, so no one else would have been arriving. In fact, no one else did. The following evening, we decided to eat there for dinner. This time we chose the table where she had sat us the evening before and this time she told us "No, this table is for 3 people." That's when the chef walked in and found us a nice table that we liked. We felt he knew how to treat customers properly.
Cons: The waitress who later served us was also very nice. With two large dining areas, there was absolutely no risk of running out of tables whatsoever. It is better to please the customer, especially when you know it would make no difference to the restaurant. The next morning, we chose to have breakfast there, which is a bit pricey for what you get, especially since the cappuccino was disgusting. I had had a croissant and I was still hungry, so I went to get another croissant. I had it in my hand and was walking back to the table when the hotel manager asked me if I had already eaten a croissant. I said yes, why. She said that I could only have one and to put it back, even though I already had it in my hand. Breakfast is €9 per person but you can only have 1 croissant? Really? I feel this woman is a detriment to this hotel. I don't know if she's the owner or manager, but if she wants people to return, she needs to learn how to treat her customers properly. How much does one croissant cost her? How much money has she lost because we will not return? How much money has she lost from other non-returning guests? We felt there is always an underlying penny-pinching quality. For example, when we left the room on Saturday morning to go skiing, we returned to a cold room that had had the heat switched down to low. We turned it up to high, but the heat did not turn on. We tried to call the reception, but no one ever picked up. We lay in bed freezing until it finally kicked in at 6am or so. Had they left the heat on, the room would have been properly heated. Had they left the blinds closed, as we left them, the room would have retained the heat. This place has lots of potential, if only this woman would stop getting in the way of its success. Her staff is wonderful. In fact, perhaps she should retire and let them take over. Everyone else who worked there was superb and made all the difference.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building. Very comfortable.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was really nice.
Cons: The room and the bathroom were a little bit cold. A little bit noisy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the stay was great. The owners were extremely friendly and made lots of effort to make sure I was happy. The location is perfect for cycling in the region, and is located right at the bottom of one of the climbs up to the Grand Ballon. The area is very quiet and peaceful and has a nice view of the mountains.
8.8 Excellent

9.6 Excellent

Pros: A wonderful, friendly welcome. Friendly but un intrusive, just then right balance. The evening meals were great... The restaurant was packed. Rooms were functional, nothing special, but little to complain about either.
Cons: about time for renovation - a lick of paint would transform the place.
