Pros: The view and new windows in my room
Cons: Grint deskstaff was very unfriendly and unacommodating we specifically stayed here for the convenience of a hotel with a restaurant. Upon checking in I was told there are no availability or exceptions to having dinner even though I was staying at the hotel I was told to leave and go somewhere else that was 20 minutes away in the rain and they could care less that we were there for them. It was off season and not crowded at all. We had we had driven 4 hours tthat day. I there was no elevator or no assistance with our luggage. This and just to a restaurant that was very ordinary and sub-par and we spent another 45 minutes in the car round trip. I slept on a bed that was noisy and uncomfortable every time we moved and my entire room smells like sewer as if there's something wrong with the plumbing and everytime we went into the toilet the floor squeaked and woke everyone up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were gorgeous, the views stupendous, and the hotel and restaurant really lovely. Definitely worth 4 stars not 3. The reception staff is lovely and accommodating, and the rooms include a hair dryer. Also, the superior rooms were very quiet and private. We know for a fact that we had an irritable baby staying in the room adjacent to us but we did not hear him.
Cons: A couple things went wrong: the service at the restaurant is very slow. Very. That was a problem in that it made us not want to eat there by the end of our 4-day stay. Also, our room’s bathroom had a very strong moldy smell (room #6), so we had to keep the door shut to avoid it from smelling out the rest of the room. Things that could be improved but were honestly fine as is because the reception staff was so accommodating: The breakfast is short lived (8:30-10:30), there are few amenities, notably no minibar, coffee or iron in the room, so you have to ask the reception staff for help (for ex: we had to refrigerate smthg and they kept it in the kitchen fridge).

Pros: Staying in a chateau with a beautiful restaurant absolutely made our stay in France a magical experience!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chateau de Boisgelin is an amazing property in a perfect parkland setting. The interior has been renovated to a very high modern standard without losing the clearly historic character of the property. If you want to stay in style in Brittany look no further...
Cons: Open bar later in evening for a drink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed great, shower superb, staff wonderful, surroundings beautiful!
Cons: We were appropriately warned about the stairs, so this is not a criticism but just to flag it to to other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant was amazing - beautiful fresh food selection - stunning presentation. Breakfast was an excellent choice of breads and cold selections View from the room was beautiful. Beds were huge and comfortable. Bathroom was big and modern
6.3 Good
Pros: The grounds are big and beautiful. Very green surroundings especially to walk the dog. The bar area and restaurant are lovely, clean and beautifully furnished. The rooms are spacious, and nicely furnished. The desert of the gourmet menu was delicious, and the vegetable clearly treated with love. Prices in the bar were very reasonable. The blond receptionist was nice!
Cons: The food was OK - but it felt like it was style over substance. So while the plating was done beautifully, some things brought the whole menu down. For a "chic" restaurant like this, with their own vegetable plot, a better vegetarian option was something we expected. The gnoccis were really really horrible; greasy, unseasoned, and just unpleasant to swallow. Staff in the restaurant and bar was friendly enough. The blond receptionist was absolutely lovely. However everyone else in the reception was VERY rude (especially the lady with the brown, curly hair), unfriendly and not forthcoming. For the price we paid, we expected our suitcases to be brought to our rooms - or at least someone to ask us to help (we had a lot of luggage). Coming with a dog, we also expected it to be very normal to ask to put a few things in the fridge in order not to rudely leave anything in the room in the summer heat. Clearly, expecially for one receptionist (brown, curly hair), this was an outragous request, and met with a very unfriendly and rude attitude. Moreover, a simple hello, good evening, good morning seemed like too much to ask to some of the reception staff. As clients, we felt like a burden, and like we were not welcome. Our dog hurt himself before our arrival; so I simply asked for tape and sissors, to put a bandage around his leg, to avoid having him bleed over the light room carpet. Again, the curly haired receptionist responded very rudly and made us feel like horrible guests - when all we wanted to do is being polite and not stain anything.
