Pros: Breakfast good, restaurant very high quality (a nice surprise) Convenient location for travelling from south to north
Pros: Friendly receptionist and owner. Charming building. Large and good bathroom with good shower. Restaurant good, home made food and very friendly staff. Also charming interior. Pretty very little village. Good parking before church or inside the walls. Excellent for a stopover.
Cons: Extra pillows, only one. Nothing in village if you come earlier.
Pros: Large, very clean spacious room in a recently modernised hotel, lots of interesting features. Helpful staff and secure parking in a pretty forecourt. Village location with small supermarket, restaurants and bakers. Easy access from Autoroute, Intermarche for fuel just north of the village. If you don't wish to use the hotel for dinner & breakfast, we strongly recommend Aux Badineurs for cheap, home cooked meals (I believe it's only open on certain days - we were there on a Friday) and Ronde des Pains Boulangerie (Next door to Aux Badineurs) for their "formula" petit dejuner and stocking up with filled baguettes for the onward journey.
Cons: Second floor rooms are in the roof with no air conditioning or shutters on the windows (fans are provided). No elevator so potentially a long walk if you have lots of luggage. Opposite church so no need to set an alarm if you wish to wake up at 7:00 (I believe the chimes were silent from 11:00 to 7:00)
Pros: Clean and friendly no nonsense
Pros: Cleanliness of rooms was superb. Nice modern furnishings. Quiet and tranquil location with excellent linked restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect relaxing break during a long and gruelling road trip.
Cons: Choice at breakfast was fairly limited and no discount for children
Pros: Excellent bed, great shower, wonderful food, good (french) breakfast. We will stay here again
Pros: Comfortable bed, very clean, great staff and great parking.
Pros: Good location for stop off half way down France. Pretty area. Good breakfast.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, perfect for one night on the way south.. Very cosy, and no problem even if we arrived late.
Le Cheval Blanc hotel is located in the heart of the historical city Langres, on the road to the south of France and the Alps. It offers rooms with satellite TV. Guest rooms in the former Abbey are individually decorated and have Wi-Fi internet access. Some of the rooms are located in the annexe building just 10 metres from the main building. Le Cheval Blanc hotel also has a restaurant which serves seasonal dishes, which can be enjoyed on the large terrace. For guests coming by car, parking is available.
Pros: This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful little town. The valet parking system is great and the restaurant is excellent. Would definitely go back.
Cons: No air conditioning but that is pretty much standard in old buildings like this. Fortunately it was not too hot when we were there.
Pros: The food was wonderful
Cons: No tea making facility
Pros: the evening meal
Pros: Great location, there is a very good restaurant which actually we didn’t use as we had dinner in the town. Couldn’t comment on breakfast as we had to leave early. Staff charming and helpful, bedrooms very basic and so are en-suite...ideal for one night stop off.
Cons: We liked everything, the hotel is comfortable not posh so don’t expect too much but happily recommend it.
Pros: Location, valet parking, clean comfortable room. Very good value.
Cons: Climbing over the steep sided bath for a shower. (No grab rail or non slip mat).
Pros: I really didn't like anything
Cons: rude staff on arrival. no help with lugging bags up and down steps...………..shocking...……….had to pay extra for parking, extra for breakfast...…….the very expensive meal, 51 euros each, was bland , tasteless, couldn't even eat it...……...the manager/ owner really didn't care when I told him either.....
Pros: Excellent location, freindly helpful staff.
Cons: Purely a question of taste but felt dining room decor to be rather utilitarian with result that we opted to eat at a classic French pavement bar/brasserie.
Pros: Been few times to this hotel. Excellent service and fantastic food
Cons: All good so nothing to say badly about this
Pros: Nice hotel - would stay there again. Excellent restaurant.
Cons: Room needed air conditioning. Hotel does not open until 5pm on a Wednesday!

All the heated rooms at Relais de Bèze feature a flat-screen TV, a telephone and a desk. A private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower is also provided. This hotel is 28 km from Dijon and 11.3 km from the A31 motorway. Free public parking is available nearby.
Pros: Outside eating.
Cons: No view.
Pros: The second time I have stayed here and - as a frequent traveller between Italy, France and the UK - it won't be the last. It had everything for a one-night stay, and would be a good base to explore a stunning area. It's easy to find and close to the autoroute, but seems a world away when you are sitting in the little square on a summer evening right outside the hotel, having a delicious meal and good wine.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike.
Pros: Great restaurant, with traditional menu options and good local wines
Pros: Beautiful location- wish we had more time to explore
Pros: Beautiful old place. Lots of atmosphere
Pros: Beautiful old building, very clean room
Pros: Comfortable first floor room. Good breakfast, and very good evening meal on terrace outside. We were welcomed with the dog! Beze is an extremely pretty village, and well placed for an overnight stop.
Cons: Some traffic noise during the night - we thought the road would be quieter through such a small village, but it didn't disturb us too much.
Pros: Warm welcome in a traditional burgundian hotel in a pretty village.
Located in Champagne-sur-Vingeanne, this former train station now works as a guest house, which offers a heated, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and a large garden. Dijon is just a 30-minute drive away. Decorated in a modern style, all rooms feature wooden flooring, heating and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Some rooms also have a fireplace. A continental breakfast serving hot drinks, orange juice, bread, croissants and marmalade is provided each morning. Guests can also enjoy regional cuisine, prepared by the hosts upon request. Additional features include a possibility to borrow bicycles and boules, free Wi-Fi access and free private parking on site. The A31 motorway is ideally located 26 km from the property and the Wine Route is a 40-minute drive away.
Pros: Fantastic hosts, great pool, fantastic value for money, even if it is a little off the beaten track.
Pros: The hosts Claire and Philippe are very welcoming and friendly. There is a lovely swimming pool and outside area although sadly for us the weather was not helpful so we had a great walk by the old railway line instead. Philippe also recommended and booked our table for dinner at a local auberge.
Cons: The quilt on the bed could have been wider!
Pros: Very friendly and helpful. Delightful building.
Pros: Really nice owner and location. We have been welcomed and could stay in the garden and pool.
Cons: In the village there is no restaurant anymore (closed). We had to travel 15 mins to reach one.
Located in Langres, Hotel de La Poste is within a 15-minute drive of Langres Cathedral and Silière Gardens. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: fine brakfast, all what you need was their
Cons: pets in dinnerroom
Pros: Very nice hotel in the middle of Langres; lots attention to detail in the decoration and furnishing. Private parking (for a fee) at the side of the hotel. Lots of little shops and restaurants right around the corner.
Pros: Excellent location helpful staff. Full of character interesting decor well appointed swimming pool. Good for children Good breakfast
Cons: Weak coffee
Pros: Nothing. We payed for a hotel with a pool. Pool area was closed. No out door space. The 'spacious' bedroom was very small only just enough room for a double bed. The rooms each side ours where family rooms, so we were woken up by small children both mornings.
Cons: The bedroom too small, only big enough for a double bed although details said the rooms where spacious,. Staff were unhelpful, Did not seem concerned that we had booked and payed for a hotel with a swimming pool, but not able to use it. Used the restaurant on one evening, waited 45 minutes for a menu and drink (only one member of staff on) Temperature was 34 degrees, there was a fan in the bedroom, but no space to use the fan safely. The worst hotel we have stayed in.
Cons: We are elderly, our bedroom was on the third floor and we found it very difficult getting to our room with all our baggage. We will request a room on the first floor next time.
Pros: Location within the old town near the center. Nice servers and maids.
Cons: Swimming pool broken (again ? I should have known it from other reviwers' reviews ). They should give us some money back because we paid higher price to stay here mainly for the swimming pool. On premise parking is €7/day , while at most other hotels they are free, and there are plenty street parking as the town is pretty deserted. Interior has a tired look (hallways have green carpet and red walls, picture that ).
Pros: Convenient to where we were travelling to and to the town.
Cons: All good
Pros: We know this hotel well and always enjoy the buffet breakfast and the swimming pool. It is also quiet, clean, perfectly situated, offers decent dinner and period character. Great showers too!
Cons: Rooms are "compact" with no fan or air con so can overheat in hot weather.
Pros: Brilliant location for exploring the town. Each room was different and full of charm and character
between Champagne and Burgundy in a small village between Langres and Dijon and between exits 5 and 6 of the A31 motorway, our property offers a romantic, quiet and authentic. Our Castle belonged to Marie Angélique DIDEROT, daughter of the famous philosopher with the towns of Langres celebrated the 200th anniversary of his death in 2013. Our 5 rooms and suites are large and furnished in style, all different. 5 Ha Park is planted with rare trees and decorated by various buildings and sights such as the snail of Burgundy, and his cave artificial, the largest in the region. in the summer the swimming pool offers its frame surrounded by greenery. From the Castle, you rayonnerez on a whole region rich in monuments, architecture, museums, but also in forests, canals, and other escapades in a rich and preserved nature. Surrounded by the boundaries of the Burgundy Vineyards, you will be able to enjoy the most famous terroirs less than an hour by car, or sources of hot water and balneotherapy near Langres. Casinos in the region open their doors to players for evenings pleasure! For our other guests, our cuisine will delight you Palace in mixing the flavors of Asia with more French recipes. Bon appétit!
Pros: Lovely historical chateau, expansive grounds
Cons: Property and grounds were not at its best in terms of older pictures
Pros: Lovely estate with a parc and an outside swimming pool -really enjoyed it in hot weather. Fantastic dinner! -never thought a set menu could be that exquisite.
Pros: Park around the house. ''Old hidden chateau ambiance'' Size of junior suite with separate sleeping corner for child Good quality of bed
Cons: The noise of the Train line behind whilst sitting on terrace
Pros: Charming château hidden away in its park. A very wam welcome from our hosts and we arrived just in time for dinner, which was all homemade with local produce. Delicious ! Despite being near the railway, our room was very quiet and comfortable. Reading the negative comments about the restaurant I think it’s important that people understand that they are booking a “chambres d’hote” with tables d’hôtes not a 24/24 hotel. Understandably if only one room is rented then the kitchen may not be open so I would advise to call before you arrive. Don’t get put off by the negative comments it was delightful !!
Pros: Exquisite secluded feeling, beautiful family atmosphere, a rare find
Pros: Lovely chateau with decoration you would expect for the style. A very nice evening meal and the owners are very welcoming. Clean bathroom with robes and slippers. We slept well.
Cons: Pool is a little cold. Breakfast was nice but the rooms were full so we had it in a second sitting as we weren’t in a rush. This then felt a bit like having what was left.
Pros: Friendly welcome, lovely setting, food very good
Pros: We booked this property to attend an event in Dijon and stayed a couple of nights
Cons: Restaurant not open even when I asked in advance of the booking if we were OK for a meal reading previous reviews. Pool not in operation either Tidy but tired rooms with zero water pressure in shower At £150 a night I expected better
Pros: The 6 hectare garden
Cons: The size of the bed: too small, too short
Pros: We left after 10 minutes after booking for 2 nights . Place had an air of neglect and advertised restaurant did not exist .
Cons: Did not wait to find out more. Spoke to owner to cancel our 2 night booking as we had driven 375 miles and no food as advertised, indeed was told by owner to try next village for something to eat. Owner has taken 2 nights payment from us regardless. Currently not refunded .

Pros: Emplacement top
Pros: Simple, clean, friendly & well priced. The location couldn’t be more central.
Pros: Nice location
Pros: Calm and sraight forward sevice
Cons: The menus displayed in the windows were almost poor quality enough to dissuade me from dining. However the actual service and food quality were perfectly good!
Pros: We only stayed the one night but we had a very pleasant evening. The hotel is a lovely French style hotel we only had breakfast but it was everything we expected.
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: The bed was old and it was not very clean.
Pros: Great location, nice restaurant and nice breakfast with many choices of local French cheeses
Cons: It was quite warm and there was no air conditioning.
Pros: Good breakfast. excellent evening meal fair price
Cons: The very difficult starecase to the room. I adviseur the reception to do something about it
Pros: Location perfect.
Cons: Room very basic, shower partly blocked. Mistakes made on bill, rectified but should not happen.
Pros: Good situation, friendly staff , good value
Located in Beze, Hôtel Restaurant Le Bourguignon is within a 15-minute drive of Beze Caves and Chateau d'Arcelot. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Frinedly staff
Cons: Room hot and no airco .... hard to get sleep because of traffic
Pros: the room was perfect for us and our 3 children and the dog!!!!...... very clean and friendly staff. we had dinner in the restaurant that was also very good.
Cons: breakfast wasn't great and we originally thought it was included in the price
Cons: Uncleaned room: hairs in the bathroom; toilet leaking; smell of cigarettes in an unsmoked room. We asked to change room and they did not seem to be chocked about the bad cleaning. 2 room again: HAIRS in the shower and the sink Many dust in the corners and under the beds Doghair on the cover of the bed. We complained about the situation and they did not tell us nothing! We had to pay Full price for a dusty room and bad service. AVOID this place!
Pros: In a sweet little village. The building is lovely.
Cons: The 3 rooms I booked were obviously in the older part of the hotel, the decor was atrocious, my room was dark and dingy. I had one tiny velux for light. As for the food, well it was awful overcooked steak. Plenty of snails on the menu, menus were filthy and sticky. My friends room had an advocado bath, no shower screen and the shower attachment would not fit in the wall bracket, so you couldnt shower. The overflow was taped up with packing tape. The room smelt of cigarettes. If you stay here make sure you dont get room 7 or 4.
Pros: Plenty of space in the family room. Nice, if expensive, restaurant downstairs. Gorgeous French village.
Cons: Our room facing front had noisy traffic from early morning.
Pros: Friendly staff who went out of way to deal with none French speaking guests
Pros: Nice hotel, room for 5 persons is not spacious enough, but OK to stay for one night. Friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere of the village.
Cons: Car park was full, so I had to park the car on the main road. WiFi didn’t work. Restaurant on site is good, but overpriced. Breakfast is very basic.
Pros: Friendly staff. Good food/ evening meal and breakfast.
Cons: Restrictive wifi
Cons: Mattress was too soft, Mentioned it to staff.
Pros: Breakfast was good but no Espresso in breakfast room although available in adjacent bar-but not offered !
Cons: Just about everything ; The room (1) was awful .
Located in Langres, Hôtel Inn Design Langres Resto Novo is a 4-minute drive from Langres Cathedral and 8 minutes from Silière Gardens. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: There's a machine for fresh orange juice at breakfast. Highlight of my stay ;)
Cons: The hotel is very close to the highway, therefore it's very suitable for spending the night while traveling further. Don't expect anything more. There's almost no space to sit both inside or outside of your room. The front desk and restaurant were staffed by the same person, who tried her best but was really unable to do everything on her own.
Pros: Cheap, convenient, clean and friendly staff.
Cons: Bar prices a bit dear , nearly 8 Euros for a pint.
Pros: Location was excellent and we were able to use the Hotel's private garage. The room was very comfortable with all modern facilities and a great bed. We did not take breakfast.
Cons: All very good
Pros: The location was excellent, very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The offer of a buffet dinner for €15 was a bit expensive for what it was, a plain, cold buffet with not a lot of choice. We went to a nearby restaurant for a hot meal and paid €2 more. I think it was offered as it was a Sunday evening and the kitchen was closed, still, it could have been a little better.
Pros: The staf was very friendly.
Cons: Restaurant was closed so we couldn’t eat at arrival, beds are very short, it was noisy, breakfast was very minimal and especially the coffee was pore...
Pros: location and parking.
Cons: Staff were very rude and unhelpful, just didnt want to know, house keeper perpetually swearing at us in French thinking we couldnt understand. , just because we didn't announce we spoke french doesnt mean we don't. Rooms stank of wet dog and looked very ceedy. Would not recommend for my dog. Not even overly cheep we have stayed in many other hotels for a lot less money and had a wonderful experience.
Pros: The Chinese restaurant nesrby
Cons: Questioner from hotel management asked for details, meals. Parking and other requirements evening meal booked, explained disability re stairs, if lift no problem. The management would be all to help. Arrived to be told restaurant closed, offered room on 1st floor no lifts. 1 young lady on reception had no idea re management request. Changed room to ground floor. Breakfast was poor. The lady on reception also keep breakfast buffet stocked. Running round like a headless chicken, poor girl. Would not recommend staying there
Cons: Des insectes rampaient sur les murs. Insects in the room crawled over the walls
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Neglect in bathroom. Poor breakfast selection with flies walking on food. Poor evening menu.
Pros: Very nice breakfast. Rooms have been recently refurbished.
Cons: The restaurant on sunday night is almost a scam. Only cold buffet with poor foods at a very high price.
