Located in Lembach, Hotel Restaurant SPA Cheval Blanc Lembach is a 1-minute drive from Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and 9 minutes from Fleckenstein Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Cuisine Par Excellence and Spa as well, quiet and efficient
Cons: No introduction of the facilities at check in. The service of the restaurant is too slow even for a fine dinning. The waiters and waitresses are not attentive enough considering it is a 2-starred Michelin
Pros: The food, staff, room and ambiance were impeccable.
Pros: Service, staff, hotel room and food at the restaurant were once again brilliant. By far the best 2 star Michelin restaurant in the region.
Pros: food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was sublime
Cons: would have liked some regional wines in the wine pairing
This hotel is situated in Obersteinbach, in the Vosges Nature Park, and offers en suite rooms, a garden with sun beds and a traditional restaurant. Several footpaths leave directly from the property. With a garden view, the rooms at Alsace Village feature a private bathroom with free toiletries. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and in some of the rooms. Both continental and English breakfast is served in the dining room. Homemade specialties made with home-grown vegetables are proposed at the restaurant, which is closed on Sunday evening. The castles of Petit-Arnsberg, Wittschloessel and Lutzelhardt are all within a 2 km of the property. Alsace Village is accessible via the A4 motorway, which is a 45-minute drive away.
Pros: The whole set up is wonderful...very natural , warm, welcoming, food very good....wonderful time was had....Will go back
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. My faith has been restored in French country cooking. Despite the fact that the weather was appalling I was very glad to have gone to Obersteinbach for our anniversary weekend, much better food and accommodation than in Rome 1979.
Cons: The weather was disappointing, two hours walking in wet beech woods was enough this time but we will be back. We appreciated the extra space for wet gear in our garden accommodation.
Pros: Absolutely quiet and romantic place. Family running bussines - you can feel it on every step. Breakfast was super!
Pros: Excellent en suite room with spacious balcony and view over the surrounding fields and wooded hills. Homely atmosphere and good practical ecology. The rear garden is a delightful mixture .
Cons: Since the meals here have a very good reputation we were disappointed to find no evening meal could be provided on one of our two night's stay.
Pros: This is a unique property, feels like an old world French country inn. The setting is stunningly beautiful, and they have a lovely peaceful garden complete with geese and chickens!Loved it! It was so nice we had a picnic there for dinner.
Cons: The only small problem we had was at breakfast when lack of English delayed our order, but this was cheerfully corrected.
Pros: The hotel is attractive and unusual. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and demi-pension is good value.
Cons: The towels in the bathroom could be bigger and fluffier but if that pushed up the cost it would be better to leave well alone. Many hotels with fluffy towels are bland and lack individuality.
Pros: Super location, beautiful house and terrace, very friendly staff
Pros: The owner and the two girls were super friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean with all we needed, fridge, kettle, hair dryer etc. Great team running the place and they are passionate about what they are doing.
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend the hotel to anyone interested in walking the hills. Excellent in autumn, would imagine summer is fantastic.

Cons: Good breakfast but slightly overpriced
Pros: The room was lovely. The balcony was beautiful. The linen was fresh. There were many channels. The architecture of the building is amazing.
Cons: Room a bit small
Pros: Breakfast very good
Cons: Parking facilities very restricted
Pros: The room and bathroom were clean and the breakfast very good. The host is really friendly.
Pros: Everything was great! If I'm ever in that area again I will stay there again! It was storybook beautiful!
Pros: It had a great location, bed was comfortable, and the front desk lady called a restaurant to reserve a place for us.
Cons: We would have appreciated a fridge and microwave, but maybe that's a US benefit.
Pros: nice comfortable bed. Town was fun to hang out in. Other guests at hotel were friendly and enjoyable to visit with. We did not eat meals there but those who did really liked the food
Cons: can't think of anything
Pros: Room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent fresh local produce.
Cons: No restaurant in the hotel (my mistake) but only one restaurant open in town. Mind you it is a Michelin starred restaurant where, unsurprisingly, everything was fabulous - including the price! Advertises parking but this is just the alleyway beside the hotel and is one way - everyone must move to allow one car out. Grumpy frau at check in.
Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable bed, big room, very friendly staff, very calm romantic hotel.
Cons: Hallway could use some movement sensors for the lights. Extra pillow would be nice.
Located in Climbach, Hôtel Restaurant à l'Ange is within a 15-minute drive of Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and German Wine Gate. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Big room, easy parking, quiet village, easy room access
Cons: Nothing of consequence - restaurant hours were rather limited and didn’t align with our schedule so we went elsewhere. The town is fairly sleepy and some of the area restaurants were off on holiday but there are dining options in other towns.
Pros: the town is very nice, with beautiful houses. the hotel's furniture is somewhat old, but the room was clean.
Cons: the dinner was not worth the money paid. we had digestive problems afterwards. we haven't booked a breakfast at the hotel (after reading the bad comments) and were surprised that we could not find a place to have a breakfast on Sunday in the nearby towns, even local bakery was not open on Sunday. we were so hungry that we left the place and left France, though we had plans to visit some sights before leaving for Germany. Only in the first town in Germany we could have a great lunch. Since the pets are allowed there, one can smell that the cats/dogs have stayed in the room.
Pros: Kitchenette, nice and clean bathroom, comfy bed, free parking.
Pros: The hotel was just over the border France/germany and handy for exploration. Food in the evening was good. We did not have breakfast as we were short of time and it did not look wonderful for 10euros
