Pros: Staff was very friendly and the Spa really cosy. Also the breakfast was really good.
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing facilities, swimming pool, sauna, aromatherapy, tropical shower, and so many other "therapy" services! Everything was great, we could enjoy the hotel even after the checkout. Just 2 steps from the Chavannes express chair lifts, perfect for skying in the winter and VTT in the summer. Lovely restaurante and "brasserie" with good views, free parking in front of the hotel. Very good prepared for handicap, including access to sauna and swimming pool. Playroom for children and even indoor petanque area.
Cons: Although it is a "haute Savoie" hotel, and thus very rich offering cheese and "charcuterie", I would love to have had more VEGAN choices, since I'm a vegan, I was quite limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. The rooms are lovely decorated with a nice view. The best view was from the bathroom corner window. We wnet from the hotel by foot, whether it was to the local lake above or to the town restaurants below. Breakfast was very good and we could take it outside to the terrace. I also too a massage there which was very professional and high quality. I highly recommend this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: High quality in the smallest details of smart and modern design. and yet - cozy, friendly and easy to set out for a snow ride as well as relaxing in the perfect spa upon return or with drinks on the bar. Not too central, not too loud, too crowded or too fancy. Just clean, well managed, fresh and perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on the slope!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Suuper hotel. Excelent condition and staff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the staff, everybody was trully helpfull. Hotel itself is jem, very nicely designed, good quality materials, cosy rooms. We were accomodated in better and bigger room than ordered. Perfect breakfast.
Cons: There was literally nothing we did not like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was one of the best ones I've visited. The check-in process was super fast, the staff was helpful, the hotel restaurant was amazing, and breakfast versatile and yum. The spa section was super relaxing after a day of hiking. On the day of the check-out we were allowed to keep our car parked in the hotel while we did one more hike, and the staff even offered we could still use the spa after the hike. We declined but still, that would've been really awesome.
Cons: The only thing that wasn't awesome was coffee at breakfast but I'm used to that, I'm from Finland after all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. It’s right next to the slopes and the spa was a huge bonus. All staff were super friendly and out breakfast was great. We would like to return again with our children as it was such a good set up for families.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great looking place with lovely staff
Cons: N/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast buffet has a lot of choice. Nice food. A place to advise. The hotel owner provided us with a good hiking map and selected nice walkings related to our wishes. Thanks to her we had very nice views on the Mont Blanc. She estimated very well how diffecult it would be. Thanks a lot, it made our holiday perfect. We enjoyed the diners in the restaurant. The cheese fondue is super and good wine for an affordable price.
Cons: The room was rather small but nice and recently refurbished. Better a small nice room like we had here than a larger room that does not give that nice feeling. Here you have good value for your money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and tidy hotel with kind and helpful staff. I was here for one night only, but I even got better and bigger room than I booked. Thank you! :)
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean hotel, this was our second stay. Food (breakfast was included) was good, with a large variety of breads, cold meats, cheeses and cakes (croissants, pain au chocolate etc.). Free parking in from of the hotel. VERY friendly staff. Great view from the balcony. Good TVs in each room.
Cons: Arriving on a rather cool evening in August, it turned out that heating was not available (tried turning on all the radiators to no avail), which was particularly concerning as our sons were feeling cold (we had travelled to France from Italy that day, enduring a 20 degree drop in temperature). Our suite looked rather new and was clean, however doors and windows were hard to open/close (timber construction which had warped and twisted. Access to the toilet was through one of the separable units (sliding doors), access to the bathroom through the other (meaning anyone in need of a nocturnal wee having to walk through both units thus disrupting the sleep of the rest of the family). Breakfast was busy and felt rushed, some of the other guest being utterly rude and pushy, a number of children (not ours) turning the restaurant into a playground (someone almost knocked a cup of hot beverage out of my hands). Adults touching food (buffet style self-service) with bare fingers just to put it back again. Apple juice was available from self service dispenser, OK quality however the hotel only providing tiny glasses (either meant for under 10 year old guests only, or to reduce waste). Bathroom had shower only, which was great from an idea point of view - ceiling mounted, rain shower style - however bathroom floor ended up flooded after each use (leading to much of a flooding after 4 people using it in a row). No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, no mini bar/fridge. Head room over one of the double beds was such that one was risking a headache when climbing out of bed (bung my head twice on that beam) - clearly, down to the room design and layout (trying to be too clever?) rather than me being 6ft tall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. They kept the pool open later and rescued a stained dress for us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about this hotel. Cosy, clean, spacious rooms, great pool area and lounger area. Will be back. Thank you.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was beautifully decorated - modern with accents of chalet. The view fro the room was just exquisite. Plus it was a pet friendly hotel which didn’t charge for the dog being there. Really refreshing!
Cons: The personnel running breakfast lacked some attention to the guests. Didn’t explain where the coffee or bread was, didn’t check if everythg was ok. It’s almost as if we were bothering them. Perhaps it’s because we came 30mins before the end of the service? Even if that’s the case, it doesn’t excuse the absence of service
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect position, staff excellent, great room and amenities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family rooms, nice pool, good breakfast, great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, location, nice pool, nice breakfast, friendly staff.

Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location great, facilities very good, liked the hot tub at the end of each day's cycle after using the sauna
Cons: It was all very good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in room 321 view to Mont Cherry was outstanding. Pool and spa area was great for size of hotel. Edith was welcoming and helpful. Had we been staying for the MTB Worldcup our balcony would have offered some of the best seats in town to watch the downhill race.
Cons: Not a lot of wardrobe/drawer space for unpacking, but to be fair we knew it was a small room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location right in the middle of town
Cons: Car park was a little tight for a van
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A last minute booking when our campsite unexpectedly closed early, can't fault the friendly service and the standard of the rooms. (the only reason the restaurants nearby got a lower score is it was end of season and most were closed. What food we did get was excellent and there are plenty near the hotel that have nice looking menus)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, great atmosphere, great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: Nothing! It was great!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very good infrastructure, pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, laundry. The family running the hotel is very professional, attentive, kind and friendly. Excellent atmosphere. We opted for half board: the dinners are excellent, light yet very good ingredients, variety, extreme care and delicacies.

7.9 Good
Pros: Pool and breakfast were good
Cons: Rooms small Very dated and no air conditioning
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Attractive hotel with very friendly staff. Good facilities, and comfortable spacious room. Well located for skiing.
Cons: Only criticism was that quality of some things at breakfast was inconsistent. The eggs got better through the week then not so good again, and the croissants were not as fresh as I would have liked. Small criticism though.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was delightful and the hotel had been done up with such style. The owner, Peter and Ilze who runs the hotel are charming and go out of their way to help and recommend fantastic, authentic restaurants. Lovely little bar and fab pool/jacuzzi which my daughter and I enjoyed after a day’s ski! Lovely brekkie. Great base for a ski trip as close to Geneva, excellent skiing and options to vary it eg. Yest we had a lovely ski in Avoriaz. We will defo be back. Best base ever! Thank you

Cons: Family rooms were a little cosy, but still comfortable with good sized double bed and bunk beds, and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was good, but could do with a little more fruit on offer. We didn’t eat lunch or dinner so can’t comment, but plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby in town.

Overview Reviews
See hotel page Nestled in the heart of Les Gets ski resort in Haute-Savoie, the Chalet-Htel La Marmotte-La Tapiaz & SPA, The Originals Relais is an elegant and authentic 4-star hotel. The Mirigay family running it insists on sincere service. For Alexis, who took over, excellence is a question of simplicity here. The 61 guest rooms and suites, the spa, and the three restaurants cultivate an art de vivre based on the joy of sharing. And fully satisfying the guests staying at these two superb chalets.
4.6 Okay

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, fantastic spa, excellent food
Cons: Parking limited, not obvious that you needed to book in advance especially for the winter months
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quality food for breakfast, lunch and supper. Nice choices, good cooking, good variety
Cons: Poor wifi
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and fab spa
Cons: Lack of toiletries is astonishing for a four star hotel of this type. A single bottle of shampoo/body wash is given which is difficult to use as it’s firmly attached to the wall! No conditioner etc even if you request it. This is what you would expect in a two star establishment
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was very central
Cons: The breakfast was tasty, but we stayed for a week and the breakfast did not change at all and at times was a bit lacking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated literally 2 min walk from tele cabins and 5 min from ski school ESF. Hotel offers 25% discount for ski equipment rental in intersport. There are 3 restaurants you can choose from in tbe evening or lunch and breakfast which was included in the price was perfect. There are ski lockers available for those who ski, so no need to walk around with your boots around the place. The swimming pool is quite large. There are also sauna and Turkish bath available. We stayed in the family room with a working chimney, which is probably the coolest thing about this stay.
Cons: The checkout is quite early around 10, which makes it almost impossible to organize ski classes in the morning. It would have been nice to extend the check out. Eventually we were allowed to check out around 11. Think about booking garage beforehand if you really need one. We eventually had an external parking slot with the hotel. The parking is against a fee, but the area is covered with ice - a little bit of salt would have been appreciated! All this is compensated with the friendliest staff though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dont even hesitate to stay here. We had an amazing time with nearly the whole place to ourselves due to the end of ski season. The breakfast was to die for and the staff were very helpful.
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Hotel beautifully decorated throughout and the food was really good in all 3 restaurants. Great location in the town right opposite the ski lift.
Cons: Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice size room. Modern bathroom. Central location. 3 min walk to the chairlift and bubble. Brilliant! Bars and restaurants on the doorstep too
Cons: It would’ve been nice if there was a hook for the shower head. Otherwise fab place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything’s where you want it location to slopes and shopping and facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, great location and they have thought about many details (storage, play rooms, nice touches around the pool, good coffee, etc). Lovely morning sun on the balcony, pool very refreshing and clean. Would gladly stay again!
Cons: We stayed in late June (three of us in a room, light summer packing) and worked out fine, but for a winter/ski stay I would almost wonder if the "four person/beds" room would be a bit small with all the ski gear etc if four people actually stayed there. Maybe best for two people during the winter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, pool, balcony, gorgeous staff
Cons: Nothing-you've nailed it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a delight and always fresh, staff and owner always around friendly and helpful. Hotels was very tastefully built incorporating the feeling your staying in the alps
Cons: Wardrobe space was a little tight could do with a way of storing suitcases perhaps. And a kettle in the room would of just made that difference
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a great location, staff lovely beautifully clean and comfortable
Cons: Some of the bathroom towels are very small and thin!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I emailed on the day to request an early check in which was quickly responded to and kindly granted. I then forgot my adaptor for my hairdryer so was given their reception spare hairdryer. Finally it was delightful to meet Katie who sat and advised my husband and I on the area and also further knowledge of insight on where to go on our travels next as we were uncertain. Thanks very much for your help! Breakfast was lovely too.
Cons: No feedback to give.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very friendly hotel, the staff were excellent and very accommodating. The location was amazing, right next to the ski lifts. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Cosy, welcoming atmosphere; friendly, helpful owner and lovely staff; very convenient ski in/ski out location; lovely four course meal each night.
Cons: Bed in upgraded room on front wasn’t as comfy as bed in small rear room but no problem really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was extremely comfortable and staff were all very helpful!
Cons: Toilet room was a little tight!
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, nice and quiet but close to everything in town.
Cons: Was on the first floor where it would have been nice to be able to open the window without the fear of critters entering the room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I found the bed to soft
Cons: Staff were very friendly and helpful
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is excellent and the waiting staff were friendly. Service in the restaurant was generally fast and there’s a heated bootroom and separate cabin to store skis just by the back door.
Cons: Our room was cold when we arrived with no way to heat it as the pump is switched off in the evening due, ironically, to noise. It took hours to warm up. We had a room which appeared to have been carved out of the bar and restaurant area. The wall was board and the noise levels up to way past midnight were horrendous. We asked to be moved and were told the hotel has a policy of not moving anyone! The main areas were clean and pleasant but our room was scruffy and dirty. The corners of the carpet were thick with dust as was the ancient radiator. The bathroom had a large gap in the tiles between the bath and the wall, all around the shower was mildewed and the toilet and sink pipes were dirty and exposed. The plastic cabinet was missing a bulb. The bed was hard as were the pillows. The food was someone’s poor idea of haute cuisine. Tiny portions (for skiers!) laid out to look pretty with a few adornments such as bits of preserved lemon. You get a starter followed by what looks to be the entrée but turns out to be your main. I laughed out loud when one tidy dish arrived on a beetroot purée splatter. I think the chef may be a Masterchef fan. Breakfast is an option of unlimited croissants and bread, fruit, yoghurts, meat and cheese but it’s the same type of slices of cooked ham and cheese every day and fruit was orange wedges, whole satsumas and bananas. No fruit salad and if you don’t like bread the cooked breakfast option would be one slice of bacon cut in two with a poached egg and tomato garnish or, another day, two cocktail sausages with a serving spoon’s worth of scrambled egg. Everything other than bread is heavily rationed. The hotel is ran by a Scotsman and lots of the guests are Scottish and spend time around the bar, together. It feels a little like a members club. The front steps were dangerously damaged and crumbling and weren’t addressed all the time we were there. It feels like a hotel in serious need of more experienced management.
7.1 Good
Pros: The food, location, staff responsiveness
Cons: Tiny room. Not very clean. Extremely tired decoration outside of public areas, grotty bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, great location and a lovely place to sit and have breakfast. Recommended
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great Good decor and atmosphere Food great

4.2 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent
Cons: I booked through yourselves and there was no mention that the restaurant, bar etc would be closed for the season. I book bed and breakfast but was told on arrival that they wasn’t providing breakfast as all the staff had finished two days before we went. I wouldn’t have booked it if I knew the place was shut down and we were just getting a room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The hotel is very centrix in the town and infront of the ski station.
Cons: The floor was so old that every step you take makes a lot of noise, the door of the bathroom is also very noisy. It seems all the rooms are like that because we could hear our neighbour walking every step, and then snoring like crazy. The floor needs to do redone and the rooms isolated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beds are comfy, staff are great and you can’t beat the location!!! 1 minute walk to the lifts and directly opposite the busiest bars. 2nd time we have visited and can’t see us staying anywhere else. Would highly recommend to anyone who spends little time in the hotel!!
Cons: No lift and bathrooms aren’t amazing, but nothing to stop me returning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely
Cons: Not a great amount of room to store wet coats etc
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Store is just around the corner, food options as well, it has parking. Bike rental is just in the back and trail access is less than a km away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and very friendly and welcoming staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the lifts
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff...very friendly and helpful
Cons: The only thing that could be commented on was that the apartment could use another sofa as it is meant to accomodate 6 people and could have been a little better cleaned before our arrival...but other than that an excellent place to stay.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is perfect and the restaurant was good!
Cons: Breakfast is below all criticism, the ski room is very small and simple, the staff is not always available although they are very nice but need to be reminded from time to time what you requested. You have to take into account that there is no elevator and at night you have to silence the drunks on the main street (-;
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb location. Ski hire, super markets , ski lift and bars literally on your door step
Cons: More curtains needed in room 12. Felt a little exposed
