The welcome, the friendly and helpful staff, the ambience, the location, the sunbeds, the easy access to the water, the possibility of watersports, the wonderful restaurant great food! Book a table in advance
Small things only: The fridge was a bit noisy (I let them know by check out-could have told them sooner. Bed a bit hard-thick blanket in the cupboard fixed it. Would have loved some more International/english speaking channels not pay per view or news. Wifi could have been a bit better.
What amazing find! Marguerite was amazing with our autistic son who was so comfortable in the hotel and beach club. Bruce part of the restaurant staff and wale boarding team also deserves a special mention for taking so much care and time with our little dude. Breakfast is on point and little touches like the children’s play area in the breakfast room with complimentary sweets meant we had a relaxed and carefree start to our days. We have already booked again for next summer!
Nothing at all!
The view from room balcony and sundeck is amazing and we enjoyed very much our 2 days stay. All was good, from first welcoming to our last breakfast in the hotel. The hotel parking facility is also very convenient (with staff) for guests ... in such narrow streets small village you can only be happy to easily park after a long drive....
Well, there is not really anything to complain about. The service was really good, except maybe the second evening at the restaurant of the Villa where the waitress was slow and forgetful about our order. But the day before, it was excellent service ! And food was very nice.
Great for renting a boat and zipping up and down the lake. Very close to Villa del Balbionella.
Lezzeno has little else to offer other than Villa Aurora so a short stay is a good idea. Four minute walk down from ferry bearable (though there is no sidewalk) if it's dry weather, but would be hard going UP with cases. Aurora gave us a lift.
Breakfast was excellent. The view from the room was perfect. The room itself was very nice with brand new good sized bathroom. The staff were very obliging.
We are a late middle aged couple who were travelling by train in Europe. I think this hotel is more for people with a car and people with families. There were great facilities for children on the lake right outside but children (having great fun) yelling didn't make it relaxing for oldies relaxing by the lake. This isn't so much a criticism as something to think about depending on your priorities and age. There was a bus right outside and a ferry close by but none of that really works if you want to go to another village for dinner. ferries stop at night and buses are irregular then and take quite awhile. Taxis are expensive.
With a stay at Hotel Villa Aurora in Lezzeno, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 10-minute drive of Villa Melzi and Church of Nesso. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
