Pros: We had a fabulous stay. Everything was perfect and Jeanette and Steve were very welcoming. Room was very clean and very comfortable with a great shower!! Breakfast was superb also and we were grateful Jeanette could do a packed lunch for our walk up Snowdon. Although on the outskirts of the village it is an easy walk into the centre made even more enjoyable if you take the path on the other side of the river
Cons: Nothing - I would stay here again if were ever back in the area.

Pros: Cannot recommend Aberyconwy House enough. Martin and Pippa went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are clean, amazingly cosy and boast a great view. The fresh cooked breakfasts in the morning were also amazing. A big thanks to the hosts for making our stay an enjoyable one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 4 nights at this B&B and it was the perfect spot to explore the Snowdonia area. It was just a 10 minute walk along a footpath and over a rope suspension to the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed with a selection of cute shops, restaurants and cafes. Our room was clean, modern and cosy with amazing views over the forest. The towels were fluffy, the shower was hot and powerful and the bed was really comfortable. I can’t fault the room at all! There was even a tower fan for when it got warm. The breakfast each morning was delicious- I loved the fresh poached eggs! Martyn, Pippa and Marian were all friendly and welcoming. There is a communal fridge to use if you would like to keep drinks/food cool. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit North Wales.
Cons: I can’t think of anything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Not applicable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pippa, Martin and Maureen are all fantastic and go above and beyond. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed including a lightweight comforter, nice for warm nights. Also a fan for the room. Bathroom in #7 was large with a large shower and heated mirror. Breakfast was made to order each day, with even vegan sausages made by Martin. Maureen even did my laundry! I ask where I could do it and she offered, so we would not have to take time out of our vacation, just ask for a donation to one of the charities they support. The location is great for Betws-y-coed, far enough away to be quiet and relaxing, but close enough to walk to town over a suspension bridge away from the traffic. Just wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend a stay with them.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nice breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts
Cons: Smallish bed and wobbly mattress. Could do with more flexible breakfast time (8 - 8.45 at the time of our stay).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast ready for a day of hiking. Chris and Julie are both excellent hosts and will help with any questions about the region.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Stayed for 2 nights with a work colleague, We arrived on the Friday evening after a 5 hour drive as we were doing an event on Saturday, We got constant e mails if we were still on our way even though it was only 5pm. And they threatened to give our room away which we already paid for. After we got back from our event we were both extremely tired and in need of a shower, It clearly states that if the top floor toilet/shower is in use then use the second floor toilet/shower, Yet we got told off by the owner for using this when it was unoccupied at the time, On sunday we didnt book breakfast as we felt abit anxious. We wouldn't stay here again as it's too much hassle.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hosts, good breakfast, great location!

Pros: Chris and Julie were amazing and so very helpful! We were shown where to take walks and made an amazing breakfast to start our day. The room was lovely and we felt really looked after! We will certainly be staying again! We couldn't be more grateful for how well we were looked after.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast ingredients were of a reasonable quality The location in the village was great for us as it it near the pubs and shops There is off road parking. Room size was ok It was clean
Cons: When we arrived we were requested to fill out a breakfast selection questionnaire and pay as soon as we sat down. My brother selected grapefruit as part of his breakfast choice but in the four days that we stayed in the B and B he only received it twice. On the last morning my breakfast was incorrect and we never received any toast on this morning either. We sat at the same table every day out of choice but the jam and the butter were never replaced. The tea and coffee and biscuits were never replaced in the room. The twin room being at the top of the house is hot and the outside temp was not that high. We were allocated the toilet downstairs and told it was just for us but on one morning another person unknown decided to use our toilet and shower meaning we had no toilet for 3/4 of a hour which delayed our day in the mountains. The other twin is on the same floor and has a toilet across the landing. According to the B and B signage our toilet should have been across the landing ? Their is no sink in the room. There is limited hanging storage in the room and the beds were average. 1 x mirror bulb did not work We kept getting wasps in the room for some reason? Accessing the parking is quite difficult as the access lane is narrow
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Nice and comfortable B&B in a great location with nice hosts.
Cons: Would have liked more channels on the tv.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The warmth and friendliness of the owners, made us feel like we were part of their home.

Pros: Perfect location. Beautiful village. Fantastic hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Tv in room far too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in wonderful surrounding, our room was lovely and very clean..
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is very nice indeed and the staff on reception were very welcoming. It's in a great location for visiting the area. The bedroom, we were in the Lodge, was lovely with a very good sized bathroom and walk in shower. The bed was large and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.
Cons: The check out being 10.30 is far too early if you are on holiday and want to have breakfast and get ready at a leisurely pace. The cleaners were banging on our door at 10.30 and even though we were not ready instead of moving on to another room they waited right outside the door chatting and banged the door another twice until we came out. The breakfast wasn't very nice, I asked for 2 soft boiled eggs and got 2 very hard eggs. My Husband asked for scrambled egg and got a solid yellow mass on his plate which looked like powdered egg, more like a blob of blancmange than fluffy egg. There seemed to be a problem with the toaster which burnt the edges of the bread but didn't toast the bread. The coffee was so weak it was like dishwater. Despite the hotel being very nice I wouldn't stay again for these 3 reasons, bad check out time, disagreeable and inflexible cleaning staff and the awful breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location. Olde worlde hotel, comfortable. Great breakfasts, freshly cooked.
Cons: Food in the grill room was not great, not up to the standards of the breakfasts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice old building, very good dinner in the restaurant, close to train and bus stations, very friendly personnel.
Cons: Due to the bar that is located in the same building it can be loud in the evening.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The full Welsh breakfast, which cost £10, was good value for money. We also had a sandwich snack for lunch in the bar and that was tasty and good value. The waitress who served us was really friendly. The bedroom was really clean and tidy.
Cons: The only minor complaint was when we said 'morning' to a member of the chamber team she completely blanked us. Apart from that we had no complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, staff, food, hotel, location was excellent.
Cons: Could not have been any better1

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are lovely and helpful, the building is amazing. Some of the dishes at dinner are to die for. Have one dinner of fish and seafood.
Cons: The location is amazing, it was that one week of the year when its hot so you need the windows open, noisier road than we thought with all the cars flying into town. Shouldn't be a problem with windows closed.

Pros: Location overall feel of the place
Cons: breakfast was average, sausages below average wifi was weak in bedroom no one at reception when I arrived, had to hunt for someone
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfy and breakfast was cooked to perfection! Love the character of the 17th century coach inn. We discovered a walk in the local area which wasn’t too busy with people as it was bank holiday weekend and it became one of the best walks we’ve had so far!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nice clean and friendly property. Gary and his team did an excellent job of greeting me and my group. The beds were comfortable, the toilets, bathroom and showers were clean with hot running water. The communal kitchen/dining room was well equipped and clean. Parking was good for our Motorcycles they also had a drying room, not that we needed it as it was beautiful weather. Off the beaten track you would expect plenty of space in the restaurant. But if you don’t book a table in advance you will be disappointed as the restaurant was full. The food was good, as was the drink choice.
Cons: Nowt. I was happy
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Wasnt keen on the shared bathroom. But that was all. But i was aware of this when booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were flexible on all counts; willing to agree a suitable check-in time, and willing to provide baby bedding. The hosts were also very friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value hostel in great location for walking and touring. Handy shop next door. Bar most nights and restaurant Fridays and Saturdays.
Cons: Shared facilities mean that friendly and accommodating fellow guests are essential. They were not always so - especially big group of guys who took the kitchen over for most of a night
7.9 Good
Pros: The restaurant attached to the pub serve excellent food. The shared kitchen area was clean and had excellent utensils; the shared milk and breakfasted was a bonus!
Cons: We were in one of the shared rooms with 2 bunk beds. The positioning of the beds under the beam made it very difficult to get up and down the bunk.
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: No towels provided, dirty rooms and bathrooms, very over priced for the conditions
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice clean room
Cons: The location, the address is Betws-y-coed but it is actually 4 miles away, this is very misleading. We had to drive the 4 miles for something to eat as the wasn’t anywhere in the village,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Eagles was in a lovely little quiet village. We were made to feel at home by the proprieter as soon as we arrived. The bunkhouse consists of several room upstairs and plenty toilets and showers. There was also a lovely large kitchen with plenty space where you could cook your own meals or watch television whenever you wanted too. There was provided jams, butter, bread, coffee, tea, cereals etc which you could use. There was an honesty bowl where you could leave a donation for this. Otherwise there was ample cupboard and fridge storage you could use for your own food during the stay. Towels werent provided but you could rent if you had none of your own at a small charge. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. Beds made up. Again in room teamaking facilities provided. Downstairs was a pub and restaurant so you didnt have to travel far if you wanted a drink or a meal. The stay was lovely and I would recommend. It was good value for money. Nearby was Snowdon and other interesting landmarks.
Cons: I have no complaints.

Pros: Great position for visits to Snowdonia. Very good breakfasts.
Cons: No complaints.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovey breakfast, prompt service
Cons: Lumpy bed, outside noise comes straight through the windows
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was good for traveling around. Quiet location, Good quality food. rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Overall the property is trying to be something it isn't. Just having old style furniture and decor doesn't make it a classical hotel. Staff were very young, and we never saw anyone who appeared to be in charge, that said the staff were very attentive and helpful, albeit having to much to consider - just one member of staff to receive guests, check out guests, take breakfast orders, clear tables and serve. We had a deluxe luxury en-suite room, which was clean, large and comfortable but the furniture gave the wrong feel, coupled with some personal opinions left us feeling at £130 it was overpriced. Would I recommend, yes for location, but at £130, no.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great Hotel, nice staff, good price, will return
Cons: Service in restaurant could be better, 2 big groups in which I appreciate but approx 20 mins between getting menu to waiting for waitress. I eventually had to wave to get attention. Food portions were rather big, less is more sometimes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location on the edge of Snowdonia. Easy to get to all the places you’d want to visit.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us and the hotel has a lovely warm and welcoming feel. The locals frequenting the hotel bar alongside guests made you feel like part of their community. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. All round, a fantastic short break was had by my entire family.
9.6 Excellent

Pros: The cooked breakfasts were delicious.
Cons: The shower door did not close properly in our ensuite, so the bathroom was constantly flooded.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. I am a Coeliac and they went above and beyond to make sure they could supply me with gluten free meals.
Cons: The decor could do with a bit of updating.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and excellent food
Cons: Weak shower hard to regulate
5.8 Okay
Pros: Was quite disappointed with this choice of venue as our first room looked out onto a derelict roof. Our 2nd room looked out to the bin area. Where the chef sat smoking. Our shower screen was hanging off and rubbish left on the floor. Bed was comfortable. Decor of room was quite dark and dingy. Breakfast was a hash. I'm gluten intolerant and they didn't cater for this even though they was informed of this at booking point and a phone call 2 weeks prior to our stay to remind them. My Daughter has a severe nut and soya allery so ordered safe breakfast items that she could have for the chef to put food items she couldn't have on her plate. The manager of the establishment was quite rude on both counts and unfussed by the major errors.
Cons: All of the above mentionef
8.8 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the politeness and helpfulness of the staff; the accessibility of the hotel, i.e, back door and front door options; the selection of breakfast options was good. I also liked the sound of the church bell tolling every hour, on two occasions missing a toll!
Cons: The wifi signal in my room was unuseable most of the time; the complimentary shower gel wasn't replenished when it had run out; on day one when I arrived on Sunday in one of the walkways leading to the rooms, there was a glass with a small amount of drink inside: that glass was in the same place until Wednesday, which may indicate how clean the hotel is in general?
7.5 Good
Pros: Food
Cons: Bath had no safety mat
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location Staff Comfy bed Hot water
Cons: Noisy toilet.......
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, good choice of cereals, fruit etc. Full Welsh option was a hearty plateful.
Cons: The wifi was a bit patchy, but that wasn't a problem for us, other than that no complaints.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was our third visit, and really enjoy staying at glan amber.
Cons: Found the bed really uncomfortable this time.
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and warm welcome. Comfortable bed and large room. Nice breakfast with lots of choice but no decaf coffee so disappointed in that and started each day with a caffeine headache
Cons: The macerater in the toilet made horrendous noise when you flushed. The building was tired and whilst the room was adequately clean the rest of the hotel wasn’t.
6.7 Good
Pros: the breakfast was very nice only on the last day i had cold beans. evening meal was excellent although a little pricey. the staff were very helpful and friendly. a great base for local and further a field attractions.
Cons: the room was outdated and a bit grubby, you can hear what is going on in next door toilet. wifi was none existent in our room. parking onsite during busy times can be difficult

Pros: The bar man (don’t know his name) was so welcoming and chatty and very friendly. The food was incredible and would highly recommend staying at Swallow Falls - area and views are amazing. We will defiantly be coming back soon.
Cons: The only one thing I could say would be not having a mirror in the room ! And only a tiny one in the bathroom!!
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location for what I needed everything in one area, the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble breakfast cooked fresh endless drinks would def use again if back in this area
Cons: Rooms a bit dated want a revamp
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The trees
Cons: Staying in a sweaty room just for walkers. Not a family room...
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location, looked nice. It met our needs. Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast.
Cons: The whole place is in need of a bit of an update. Our room was not exactly soundproof so fingers crossed for thoughtful neighbours ( good luck). The price was too high for the quality of accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was great and staff were very friendly, and I look forward to my next visit there
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location, plenty of parking.
Cons: The sofa bed wasn’t made up on arrival - I had to also go & request duvet cover, a sheet & pillow cases.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms are large and clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were warm and welcoming.
Cons: We stayed in the lodge rooms and were greeted by tents hanging all over the exterior balcony and a large group of loud teenage school children who kept my youngest up. the lodge is very close to the hostel accommodation. The exterior of the lodge is in poor condition and the stairs to the the upper levels in poor repair. Having stayed in many hotels I did not feel it justified the price tag of £99 a night.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was nice as we had to go to mount snowdon. Town was accessible too.
Cons: Two for £10 meal isn't good as they don't give enough food especially rice which is just one spoon. Sometimes the food is even over like chicken so couldn't have chicken curry as part of the deal
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is great with many access to walking trails and short drive to snowdon. Swallow falls is directly across the property.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bar was good and friendly staff Food was good Great location
Cons: Property charged our card before we arrived - disappointed as this is not what it states on the site Complex a little dated but wouldn’t stop us from staying again

9.6 Excellent
Pros: had a great holiday dave was a great host the evening meals great value for money be back soon
Cons: all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was just enough to get you going for a busy day ahead
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is very quirky and original and serves on of the nicest breakfast I have ever had. The staff were excellent. I will definitely recommend and use this hotel again.
Cons: The bath panel kept blowing out, there seemed to be a draught behind it and it kept banging, also the tv reception was very poor.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Thought the taste of the evening meal was good.
Cons: Cleanliness: it was disgusting; dead spiders in cobwebs on window and thick dirt on panes. Greasy headboard, dust on mirrors, toilet cistern fixed to wall with broken wood with cobwebs hanging at back. Tiles missing or broken with lino peeling back from floor. Dirty toilet pan, had not been cleaned and the window surround in bathroom was covered in black mould. Light fitting broken in bedroom and the furniture chipped and curtain rail hanging by a breath on loose nails and the carpet badly stained. Was moved to another room but we had to have the cleaner in again as there where issues but the room was much better and larger. Was not able to have the wine we ordered as told they only had the house wine at present due to re-stock!!!!! Bar floor dirty and the table tops sticky. Ordered evening meal both lamb but 1 roast & 1 with herb crust. Both come out the same and other travellers there told us they had had the same problem. Did send it back but told it was correct: hummmm. Carrots had not been peeled, such a shame as the meal tasted good. Dinning room curtains (that they make a big thing about them in the guest book being SILK): several where hanging off there hooks; SAD. Did not appreciate the Cleaner coming into the restaurant that evening helping to carry food (he was in blue & white apron) or in the morning clearing after breakfast in shabby track bottoms and crumbled tee shirt. I have worked in hospitality and we had to wear correct clothing not tight jeans etc. Only 3 staff plus Manager doing all jobs. The gardens are again in a state with the pond overgrown, no flowers in the beds and the look of neglect of all garden furniture. Don't know who owns it but think they are relying on 1 night visitors to make money. As just off holiday will put my pictures on Trip Advisor when able. This was my birthday treat from my husband. He was very upset.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is really good. Breakfast was tasty.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. Mattress was old and springs made an awful noise. Bathroom was large but shower curtain mouldy and there were screws sticking out of bath panel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Travelling on my own and they made me feel at home
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A lovely little hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Only fault is that we didn’t find the bed very comfortable. But really good value and of course pet friendly.
Cons: The mattress was kind of on the road out and after 9 hours driving was kinda looking forward to a comfortable bed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean so very happy with that. The comfort of the room was also lovely, great big comfy bed that my self and my partner both slept great in. The view from our room was lovely. The staff where very helpful and polite. The breakfast provided was also lovely.
Cons: The food in the cafe could have been better, for a very small menu we would have expected what they did offer to be cooked very well, however both meals we had there were over cooked/ burnt. Also a better wine selection would be a suggestion.
