Pros: Characterful, location literally on the river, excellent host, very very comfy bed, really good value for money - would go again.
Cons: The sitting room is a bit dark...but then it’s a really old building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful old mill is in an idyllic location. The owner Laurent was very helpful and cooked a superb evening meal for us and other guests. This is the second time we've stayed there and we hope to go back again.

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very unique and special place. An old mill on a river with a private sandy beach. The rooms are lovely and the property enchanting. Laurent is the perfect host. He thinks of everything and is excellent at encouraging the guests to communicate even though we were there when there were many different languages. If you want to stay in a place that you will never forget stay here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At first the room was very cozy and we had an absolutely stunning view from our bedroom window. The breakfast was very nice and it was lovely to sit outside in the garden. Good bread, a croissant, variation in spreads and homemade cakes and cookies. We also had dinner with the host and another couple that was staying at the B&B. The host made a nice french dinner and it was a lovely evening, as if you were staying at family.
Cons: There were no disappointing aspects to our stay, it was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property on L’Indre. We liked the bedroom with the door to a balcony. Lots of seating outside. Laurent is welcoming and shows you round. Very nice breakfast served outside. Clean and comfortable
Cons: We liked it all

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, beautifully decorated renovated villa. Warm welcome from host and excellent breakfast with homemade cooking. The host ensured we had a free drink at a local restaurant on arrival and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. Communications responded to promptly. Would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic old coaching inn which has been beautifully restored by the owners. The bedroom was wonderful and atmospheric with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with home made yoghurt, jams and cake and good coffee. The owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, even booking us a room at a local restaurant and taking us there as it was a little hard to find. I would stay there again without a doubt and have already recommended it to friends.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed 2nights at the guesthouse. We received a very warm welcome and was looked after exceptionally well. They have catered for every need - Thank you

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic 500 year old B&B in old town Loches! Good breakfast and great location close to area Chateaux.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located just below the old town city walls, perfectly placed to explore and walk around. The building is very old and is very atmospheric - incredible stairs in the internal courtyard are just one of ancient features. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely luxury bathroom. Great breakfast and very welcoming host
Cons: It was all great
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loches is a very historic town with lots of sights to explore. Breakfast was served in the wonderfully quirky dining room. Arrival of food and coffee was a little disjointed, so croissants and bread arrived well after coffee. However, overall it was very charming. There is a free public car park with CCTV about 100 metres away, which is very handy
Cons: The building is a genuine 16th centuary house, with many original features, including a very rustic staircase up to the bedrooms - almost a ladder in places! This could be difficult if you had heavy luggage, or were infirm. Checking in was unusual, between 17.00 and 20.30, as there is nobody available on site outside those hours, so unexpected early / late arrival is difficult but there are several cafes in the close vicinity to while away the time if you are early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Full of character, very friendly, lovely breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building. Great situation. Charming host. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Looking forward to another visit!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived a little later than planned but Claude & Thomas were super we called them in advance and Thomas was there to help us with luggage / parking / showing us to our rooms Everything was fantastic / the hosts / the rooms / the breakfast / the location we would recommend all 100% I hope we get the opportunity to return
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, very friendly and exceptionally helpful host. Stunning room, we loved it.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a little more extensive, but the quality was good and it served our purposes.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is run by Thomas (who speaks good English) and his father, with passion and care. We asked for vegetables in breakfast , and the next day on they were part of breakfast The location is great as well!
Cons: There was some problem with the hot water is the bathroom (going on and off), which they said they work on. For old people, the staircase might be a bit challenging (we did not mind it)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is in a very very old and beautiful building. The rooms were updated and furniture and bathrooms were new and nice. It was a wonderful place to stay and I will remember it for its uniqueness.
Cons: The stairway took a bit of getting used to but it was charming and memorable. Staff very helpful with carrying suitcases to rooms.

7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet was excellent. Many choices including bacon and eggs. Bed was the most comfortable we slept in.

Pros: Suite facility as staying for several nights
Cons: The walk back up the hill to hotel from centre of Loches
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds, lovely shower. All very trendy - hotel was new 18 months ago. Excellent breakfast Easy to find
Cons: Couldn't fault it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Overall a good stay , spacious rooms , large bathroom. One suggestion is to provide proper cups for tea and coffee making as the paper cups were very small . Very helpful and friendly staff . Hotel is on outskirts of the town next to a McDonald’s but only a 11 minute walk into the pretty town .
Cons: One of the rooms had a bad smell but the staff changed the room without an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was first class. Location I chose.
Cons: More tea bags in the rooms and the offer of milk. Some more signage to show the place as it was difficult to find.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was a very modern hotel with all the latest features. Clean comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was very good including Bacon and Eggs. The TV included a number of English Channels including CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg. We found it a good base for visiting Loire Valley Chateaux, Loches itself is very old but not very exciting!!
Cons: Unfortunately, the restaurant next door chose to be on holiday while we were there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Secure for motorcycles, spotless , comfy mattress , good shower
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent

Enjoy a memorable experience at this historical site in the capable hands of Ophlie, and Antonio, and their staff. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was nice, but i had to park my car in a field a walk away from the hotel, which you had not indicated . 2 nd time this has happened with booking. com. Never again , sorry
Cons: Parking which was away in a field !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: excellent location and staff and the hotel restaurant overlooking the river was really good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fine for the price, and the breakfast area is comfortable and bright.
Cons: At 80 the stairs are a little bit more than quirky but we coped, I knew what the spiral stairs were like and that there is an alternative for the 1st floor, two flights however were a bit more daunting, next time I would certainly ask for a room on the first floor if possible.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great breakfast and good central location. We had a good view of the chateau from our window. The room was fine for what we needed and in the eaves, accessible via a winding stone staircase. We even had a brief visit from a bat on our first night! The Building is quite characterful and backs onto the river. The terrace restaurant does a decent fixed price menu for €19.50.
Cons: There could perhaps have been the use of a fan for the hot weather.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It’s nothing a bulldozer couldn’t fix...
Cons: Almost everything. What a dump
7.5 Good
Pros: Very central, quiet room overlooking a small weir in a property with character
6.7 Good
Pros: The pillows were too bouncy. The lighting was poor. The bedroom was fine but quite noisy until about 19.30pm. Great location but needs some TLC.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room was very poorly equipped, looks old in the bad sense - not place to put our clothes, no shelves, no closet, just few hangers! Only one free electricity in the whole room! The window opens to a busy street with lots of traffic. The staff was impatient and rude. We had an event (music class) from 9:00 to 11:00, and the checkout was due to 11:00. When I asked to delay it to 11:30 the answer was (in French only) "get out at 11:00 or you will be charged for an extra day!" (and the hotel was nearly empty...)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a good mix of shabby chic rooms and building and a fairly contemporary restaurant. If you are staying with kids, don't be put off by a lack of a kids menu. They do cater for children. Younger kids get offered steak haché and older ones can have spaghetti. I'm sure that they will be flexible with that though. We went for the €19.50 menu and it was beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfection all with a lovely view overlooking the wear. Loche itself is a lovely town with plenty of bars and other places to eat (pizzerias etc.) if you don't fancy the hotel's restaurant.
Cons: I really can't think of anything bad about here. Maybe my one complaint would be no bar at the hotel, but you're not short of choice in Loche. You're at most 3 minute walk from the nearest bar, so it's not the end of world!
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: A boutique hotel implies something a little different, and special. Having stated in quite a few hotels that call themselves boutique, I can definitely say this one does not deserve that description. Starting with the positives - the building is characterful, and the location excellent. The breakfast was adequate. However the standard of the room was very basic. The bathroom was of a very poor standard, from the cheap fittings through the lack of shower curtain or screen through to the broken toilet seat. The whole room needed redecorating, and our confidence in the standards if cleanliness were further damaged when we found a pair of socks under the bed which were not ours. I raised all of these concerns at check out, but they are barely recognised - we were just told they would be noted. Hopefully so, as the building and location ( not to mention the guests) deserve better.
Cons: as above
Hotel Luccotel - Loches - Building

7.9 Good
Pros: Decent overnight stop fro a group of us on a motorbike trip through France and Spain.. stayed during the recent European heat wave, so the efficient air conditioning was a big benefit.. we stayed in the 'motel-style' rooms, which suited us with bikes out front in easy reach. Food was good, beer was cold, clean and tidy rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quick overnight stay in Loches on our way back to the UK. Check in was warm and friendly. We were given a twin room which was exactly what we had requested. We were able to park our motorbikes right outside. Heated swimming pool was free, which was great after a days riding. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the town centre. We did not eat at the hotel, but the menu looked very good. Bar staff cheerful and attentive. I would not hesitate to stay again but possibly for more than one night.
Cons: Perfect location.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food in the restaurant was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food very good Tennis court, grounds & swimming pool were lovely. Brilliant relaxed attitude to travelling with a dog big thanx
Cons: Nothing except my ability to not speak French is my own shame and made it difficult to communicate- this is my problem not the hotel
7.1 Good
Pros: The restaurant is excellent. The good location. The breakfast is available very early.
Cons: The room is sad (without WIFI), could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel just outside the town with a great view. Very nice grounds with sun loungers and a table tennis table. Indoor pool with a view out to the grounds. Air conditioning worked very well, which was important as we stayed during the heatwave!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good helpful staff. 10 minute walk to town centre. Wonderful historic town. Will certainly visit again.
Cons: Stayed in a out side motel style room, relatively clean, however, decor could due with updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was of good quality. I had a very good nights sleep. everything was just right , & the swimming pool was what I needed on a hot couple of days. The terrace also provided great views of the town of Loches while having a long drink at night.
Cons: When booking book rooms in the main building they are a lot better.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: First room offered was very small, poor standard and bathroom smelled strongly of effluent. 2nd room only a little better. No kettle or tea/coffee in room. Pillows were very small, lumpy and uncomfortable. Refused request for a kettle. When ordered cup of tea kitchen refused request for slice of lemon. Room charges were excessively high for such a poor standard. Late when arrived and tired after long drive otherwise would have gone elsewhere.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and views
Cons: Nothing
