Breakfast met my expectations for a Holiday Inn Express.
I have stayed at a number of Holiday Inn Express' mostly for business and some family trips in the US and Canada. They are not high end hotels, but that's okay. From an affordability and purpose perspective, I have found them to be very clean and comfortable and services more than adequate. For business especially, the in-room desks, connections and in/out breakfast are exactly what I need. This was not a typical Holiday Inn Express - but reminded me of the older unkempt Holiday Inns. The hotel was poorly serviced - day-to-day we would not have the complete towel set replaced in our rooms, the bath would not fully drain and you'd be up to your ankles in water at the end of a shower. The carpets had odors and needed cleaning and the in-room refrigerator was old and noisy and woke us up at night . The room we had was dark with no overhead room light - just 2 desk lamps, Our 2 queen bed room was certainly not as spacious as the one shown in the site photos but instead was crowded with furniture - like they'd taken a single room and stuck another bed there, We also came at a bad time - 1 of their 2 elevators was not working. Over a busy labour day weekend - it was taking forever to get up and down from the room and people were clearly frustrated. Overall - this hotel did not meet the standards I have come to appreciate from many other Holiday Inn Express'. I really feel this location needs some big improvements to catch up with the rest of the franchise.
no pool onsite
Only one elevator was in service, breakfast time should be longer!
Ale staff was welcoming and helpful
This is just note: in 212 room is problem with draining water in bathtub and sink. Might be just clogged. However everything was excellent.
I had my dog there and was weary about using the park next door for her to alleviate herself because there were people passed out and getting high in the bushes
