Pros: Viviane was super friendly, she treats you like a long lost relative. She was very helpful in giving recommendations for things to do, hiking, cycling, where to eat, etc. The place was also super clean. The breakfast was great, nothing can go wrong with bacon and eggs :D
Cons: Since it's a horse-friendly stay, you can smell horse poo depending on the wind direction, but you can think of it as part of the charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon arrival we were welcomed with some info about the area, where to eat, and activities to do - they have flyers on a table in the common room you can read and take along. Very comfy bed & pillows. And airco in the room was a plus. The screen on the window really blocked the light, which is a bonus when used to sleep in close to total darkness. Breakfast was very tasty. The first morning we were alone, and they skipped the meat products since we had mentioned in passing that we were looking for vegetarian options for dinner. Sunday was extra tasty with fresh crepes to finish breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, plenty of selection and for a small B&B to have proper eggs and bacon was a big bonus. They also accommodated gluten and dairy free (though they added a charge for this). The beds were comfortable and the rooms were simple but clean. They let us use the common area to sit as a group which was nice.
Cons: The owners smoked in the common area (where breakfast is served) so if the smell bothers you, don't stay here. As mentioned in the positives, they accommodated dairy and gluten free quite well but then charged us for the food they had purchased.

The main areas were nicely designed, great breakfast, access to teas and coffee at all times and an honesty bar. Very large bed, doors opening to overlook the pool and countryside behind. Lovely shower and separate toilet. Outdoor swimming pool looked inviting but due to rain we didn’t use it. On check out we discovered a flat tyre on one of our bikes, and were quickly helped with finding the local bike shop. Very very kind and helpful. Would recommend.

Pros: Well decorated rooms, good size.
Cons: Restaurant not open at night. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. This is supposed to be a 4* hotel. It isn't. Say 3+. The rooms are very nice, but when you've been working and driving all day, the last thing you need is to go hunting for somewhere to eat. My dinner was a packet of biscuits. And tap water. Great. 4* ? I stayed a Mercure last night and that was a 4*, great meal, good room etc.
9.5 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall, it was an amazing experience. The new owner of the place, Renzo, an Italian gentleman with a passion for cooking and hospitality turned our experience into a wonderful one. The dinner is a must have with mouthwatering Italian delicacies at Osteria Sapori (The Italian restaurant inside the hotel, owned by Renzo). They have a wide range of wine menu. The place is strategically located at Maasmechelen, only an hour drive away from Brussels, 20 mins drive away from Maastricht and 45mins drive away from the Three Country Border (NL, BG, GER) at Aachen. It is a great place for both romantic getaways and family vacations. We booked 3 rooms for the larger family visiting from Istanbul, Eindhoven, Dubai, and Vancouver. We'll definitely visit back in summer.
