Pros: The rustic chalet was nicely furnished, spacious and set amongst trees and bush. Nice pool area. The upstairs bar also had a large outdoor area where you can enjoy a cold beer or wine in the sun or shade overlooking the trees and out to the ocean , occasionally getting a visit from some monkeys. The evening meals were tasty and inexpensive. Plenty of nearby activities to enjoy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent. Lynette went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and had all the local info at hand. Nothing was any trouble for her. Our chalet was impeccably clean and was serviced daily. All staff very friendly.
Cons: The fact that we didn't have time to stay longer.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation is at the very private location, the pools were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The cleaners came and clean our chalet when we were out.
Cons: I made the payment weeks before our vacation but when i got there they told me that I need to pay the balance, which was a bit confusing for me as I made all the payment in advance.
6.7 Good
Pros: Lovely setting of the bungalow. Private and peaceful. Nice big fridge and freezer with well appointed kitchen. Lovely fire pit. Really enjoyed pool and surrounds. Very quiet at night. Nice and close to restaurant and reception. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Dinner setting just amazing. Staff excellent and very willing to please. The lagoon is BEAUTIFUL despite the total lack of marine life. It was peaceful until 14:00 ,,as we were leaving it seemed lots of people were heading for the lagoon.
Cons: Bathroom really needs a fix up and clean up. 2 Nd bedroom was a lot better. Fan had such a short cord and only one plug in the room so it blew a meter from the bed, or had to be of resulting in a very stuffy room. Outside chairs were hand made with nails sticking out and arms kept falling of. A major ant problem in the cracks of the outside tables which were not cleaned at all. Trip to snorkeling TOTALLY overpriced. R1600 for 4 of us for the driver to take us straight to the lagoon apart from one stop on the way to see the lake. Then bring us home. VERY disappointed in the marine life. The coral looked dead and saw about 5 small fish. Compared to when last there 20 years ago this showed a total decline in the so called aquarium . The area just seems totally fished out. Locals drinking and gathering at the beach almost collided with us head on on the road. Even the driver had a beer his hand.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the food. The setup of the accomodation was lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: We had an awesome stay at Kosi Bay Lodge. Can't wait to visit them again. Beautiful bushveld look setting, with very helpful and friendly staff.
