Pros: Have stayed with this company before and was greeted with remembrance.
Cons: The shades in the room did not keep out the street lights.
Pros: It was sparkling clean and bed was very comfortable
Pros: Super comfortable bed...great towels
Cons: No complaints
Pros: The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is a tad on the small side, but the kitchen area was nice. The refrigerator was clean and in excellent condition. We did not use the stove, so I can't really rate that, except to say that there is a stove.
Cons: The bathroom was a little on the small side and the bathroom floor had seen better days, but it did appear clean. It would also be nice if there were DirectTV or Dish Network service available instead of what's currently there. Also, the town, though very clean and nice, rolls up the streets at 9 PM, so there is no night life. Except for a bar, there is NOTHING open, not even a gas station, after 9 PM or so. We went to the grocery store about a mile away and they were closing up shop at 8:45 even though their sign stated they were open until 9 PM. To say the town is "sleepy" is being ultra-kind.
Pros: The "suite" had everything you could possibly need for a short stay. It was very clean and neat.
Cons: The TV area was not at all comfortable, and it you were staying a couple of nights and the weather was bad, you were up the creek for entertainment. Also, there was no heat. On the first night it was warmer outside than inside, but the bed was cozy. However it was a bit colder the 2nd night I stayed, so I felt the cold more. And, to add insult to injury on the morning I was leaving the shower was not even lukewarm. What's going on here?
Located in Margaretville, Margaretville Mtn Inn B&B and Village Suites is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Delaware & Ulster Railroad and Canada Falls. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely breakfast and hostess
Pros: My fiancé and I stayed in the main inn for two nights while waiting to close on a weekend house nearby. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The owner, Carol, was fantastic! She keeps this beautiful historic home clean and welcoming, and serves up a delicious, made-to-order breakfast with a smile every morning. We stayed in the Emerald Room and found it very comfortable. It's the only room with its bathroom outside of the room, but we felt complete privacy and had no problems with the setup. Would absolutely recommend this B&B – we have every intention of putting our family up here (and in a few of Carol's other local places) during our upcoming wedding!
Pros: Great hospitality and amazing breakfast. Located in a pretty hill. Nicely decorated.
Cons: Nothing to highlight
Pros: The location was very convenient.
Cons: When I arrived the driveway was a sheet of ice. The room I received was microscopic with a bed that must have been 30 years old, even though I was the only person staying there. There was a single bureau in the room with only one drawer that was falling apart so unpacking wasn’t an option. The heat in the room didn’t operate and no attempt to fix it was made. Staff, even while In the inn, wasn’t available. You had to go find them and they were annoyed when you knocked on their door.
Pros: breakfast. decent location.
Cons: Broken hot tub, check in.
Pros: View spectacular Bed was to be bigger
Cons: Size of bed Lack of coffee/tea snacks Inferior tv reception
Pros: A very delicious, substancial and hearty breakfast in an impressive ambience. Carol was very nice and helpful. Her B&B makes you feel shifted back in time in a glorious way, but some details need some maintenance (shades in the room we stayed; a bedside table on both sides of the bet would be nice, too).
Cons: We like biking a lot. There is a intensively advertised bike trail ("Catskills Scenic Trail") nearby - but without any posibility to rent bikes in an easy way. Carol although offered us to lend us two bikes which unfortunately didn´t help us as we had no posibility to transport them with our rental car. Maintainance of walking trails is partly a little poor. It´s a pity that the local tourist association doesn´t support more intensively this kind of tourism. The historic Delaware and Ulster railroad is only operated on weekends and few other weekdays - so if you want to use it, be careful to be there on the right days.
Pros: Breakfast was good. I specially liked the homemade coffee cake. The dining room was lovely and the table well-supplied. The bedroom was nice and quiet and the a/c was adequate. Liked having a private bathroom, but no time to try the shower.
Cons: We are not use to sleeping on a soft queen-size bed and, because we are older, actually found it difficult to roll out of the bed that forced us toward the middle. Room was small and had only one chair and one luggage rack. Might be better suited for one person only.
Pros: I loved the whole experience and carol and Becky were so nice and friendly. I felt like I was talking with friends.
