We stayed in a small "lodge" in front of the hotel which looked much nicer than the rooms in the hotel. It was bright, spacious and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and the waiter was really friendly.
The hotel could be really beautiful but it needs to be renovated and up dated to warrant a 4 star rating. Such a shame that they don't maintain the pool or really look after the gardens. We loved the view and the staff were very helpful but overall the hotel is run down.
The rooms were very comfortable and had everything I needed.
no food available the evening of our arrival (6pm) no bar open (6pm) swimming pool was ornamental - not for swimming no beds around pool even for relaxing and an event was on that day so not even access. We had to stay in our rooms all day! nothing on offer for a hot day In 30 degrees that was very shabby took us ages to get some attention for lunch service
All staff were friendly & helpful. We asked for recommendations where to go for an evening meal & were given a list of names & some directions. Staff helped us with printing boarding passes & booking a taxi to the airport. (Which was 30 euros - considering it's only 10 mins away I thought this quote expensive. ) The views from the terrace are fantastic. Shame the pool is decorative, it could be so nice to swim & look at that view.
Our room was very dark and had mould, even more mould in the bathroom. (The extractor fan didn't work which doesn't help.)The toilet seat also needs fixing, one of the seat fixtures is broken. There was a school trip with teenagers who stayed up late, trapsing noisily about chatting at full volume. They started up again at 6.15 am. The rooms soundproofing is pretty non existent. The restaurant wasn't open the evening we were there & the hotel is too far from anywhere to get food without a car. We had time to kill the next day and you can't even get drinks. The breakfast was not good. Tinned fruit!! Cheap tea, jams cereal etc. We had travelled all over central & southern Italy & generally had good breakfasts - not here I'm sorry to say. The pool is decorative & not for swimming. There is minimum provision for patrons. No food or drink, not even a kettle in the room.
Very rushed and people after us were told they good not get breakfast even before the end time.
No dinner available on arrival no bar open after 21.30
Not able to use the pool, the very poor and limited breakfast, very dated decor and the smell of sewage in the bathroom
