Pros: We managed to park in the court yard although it is only small. Our room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good

There is a great little pub round the corner called the Green Room for a good evening meal and they are very welcoming.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great spot for exploring the Somerset area. Friendly staff, nice restaurant, sparkling rooms. We stayed in a very cute cottage with all the necessary amenities.
Cons: Breakfast was too basic and a bit disappointing especially after having had such a nice dinner there before. The cottage was very nice but the kitchen was obviously designed by a man. Who doesn’t cook. Thank goodness I didn’t cook there. A bit more love could have gone into the garden space. Towel hanging possibilities needed as well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The 3 bed self contained cottage was perfect for our requirements. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Quick and easy checkin/out. Good options for eating in the restaurant, room service or self catering.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff, good quality food, spacious accommodation with outside communal area.
Cons: Naturally some road noise from the nearby A303 but did not stop us sleeping very well in comfortable beds.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bright clean room with a comfy bed. As soon as we saw the room we were delighted as it was one of the cheapest in the area too. It was basic but very clean. There were thoughtful touches such as lovely toiletries, a flannel, tissues and a nice lamp in the room which made the lighting cosy. I woke up in the morning and was so comfy and relaxed that I didn't want to get up! The bed was clean and fresh with none of the whiff of other people that some hotel beds hold on to. The breakfast, served in the restaurant, was lovely and the staff were all pleasant. We moved on after the one night and I spent the rest of our mini break wishing we could go back as the next rooms were nowhere near as pleasant.
Cons: The restaurant closed at 8.30pm which was quite early and a disappointment as we had to drive out for dinner after being on the road all day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the fact that I didn't have to have the bog standard English breakfast..
Cons: I did not like the fact that full payment plus an extra £1 was taken from my credit card 3 days before I checked in and it clearly stated on the booking. Com website that NO PREPAYMENT REQUIRED. And then they still asked me to pay again when I checked out.. Also there was an old piece of soap in the tray in the shower..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hawk House is an ideal place to stop while travelling to the West Country, or touring around the local area. The on site Wayne's Bistro is good for an evening meal. The twin room (5) was upstairs and very spacious.
Cons: The rooms at the front of the property can get some traffic noise from the A303.

Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Host was friendly enough and the property had the key things we were looking for - en-suite and parking.
Cons: As petty as it sounds the floor was super noisy and the walls very thin. We were woken several times by other guests, this included guests arriving back at 3am and the shower being used at 6am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was delighted to find it was a bungalow, with ramps built-in where needed, because I can only walk a few paces and usually use a mobility scooter. I didn’t need the scooter in the end, because the area allocated to the four guest rooms and the bright sunny breakfast room were situated in one area, no stairs. Averil was a wonderful host, made me feel very welcome, and was more than happy to accommodate my odd sleeping hours and breakfast needs. She and Ian were very helpful with my luggage and my heavy scooter battery, and there was even a fridge available in the breakfast room for all my leftover food from a self-catering holiday I’d just had on the west coast. I stayed here to visit a nearby friend, before tackling the journey home to Kent. The room was clean and quiet, well-equipped, and larger than I expected for a single room. I would heartily recommend it to anyone. There’s even a cattery run by the owners, so if you booked early enough, you could bring kitty too! Lovely place :-)
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The overall feel.of the place. Lovely staff, excellent breakfast, perfectly clean and comfy beds. Love the whole feel of the place. Place is on a busy road but when the windows are closed, you can't hear anything so it's fine.
Cons: Needs a few extras in the bathroom like a shower mat to stop you slipping when you shower and a toilet brush.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent English breakfast. Very comfy bed
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and a large airy room. Lots of storage space and hangers too!
Cons: The shower isn’t great, it appeared to only have 2 temperatures, freezing cold or scalding hot. Maybe there is a knack to it that I didn’t have!!

Cons: Very good morning staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My elderly mother and her partner stayed at the Preston Hotel for for 2 nights in August and very happy with their stay. Hotel was very accommodating with early check in and also arranging a ground floor room on the second night due to difficulty with stairs/mobility issues. They said breakfast was excellent and staff were very welcoming and helpful! They would definitely again when visiting!
Cons: No issues.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, and the room was perfect for a family of four
7.9 Good
Pros: Meg was very friendly and helpful. The bar was comfortable and the bar food was freshly cooked at a good price.
Cons: The bed was very soft and the pillows too hard.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast meal was fine, staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: We didn't like the fact that the tables were not laid in the morning. Our room was right at the top of the house, very old fashioned and stuffy. Not like the photo on the website. Very disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Plentiful breakfast, but would only describe as OK Beds were comfortable. Staff were all very friendly, in particular the nice lady serving breakfast.
Cons: We can't speak for the rest of the hotel as we were in the annex, but rooms would be described at best as tired. In urgent need of refurbishment. We had however asked for ground floor if possible, as we had elderly parents with us. The hotel description made it sound quaint & the real ale bar was a let down. We had anticipated eating an evening meal there, but the menu was very basic indeed. It was also situated on a very busy road.

7.5 Good
Pros: Room 202 was good . Clean and comfortable
Cons: Do not stay in room 209 . There is a noisy restaurant and the staff from the kitchen make noise from 9pm until 2am the bed in room 2009 is very poor with springs sticking through needs replacing. The noise is not the fault of hotel. Last thing there is no hotel parking so its a pain finding somewhere to leave your car without having to pay a fortune . Best bet find a side street somewhere within a mile park there and walk to hotel
