Kamikochi Highland can be reached via a 20-minute bus ride from Sawando Bus Terminal, a 5-minute walk away. Shinshimashima Train Station is a 40-minute bus ride from the ryokan. Air conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring, traditional Japanese bedding and a seating area. Each are equipped with a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and a refrigerator. At Shiorie Keiryu-so Ryokan, guests can soak in the indoor/outdoor public hot spring baths, read in the library or shop for souvenirs at the gift shop. Massage chairs and designated smoking areas can also be found on site. The property offers free rentals of snow shoes so guests can enjoy the snow from the end of December until early March.
