Pros: The hosts were very friendly and so welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The ambiance is fantastic.
Cons: The small small toilet
Pros: A beautiful house and gardens, comfy huge bed, very clean and breakfast was prepared individually. We were the only guests so don’t know how many they can cater for. If you like individual treatment this is for you. If you prefer a bit more anonymity like us then no. Lovely people, no dinner and the town didn’t have anywhere we wanted to eat, more snack bars.
Cons: We felt a little uncomfortable with the attention! It’s not us. We didn’t realise we would be accommodated in the house, thought the accommodation was chalets, of which there was one. This is not a negative for others, just not what we expected.ver
Pros: Very good breakfast, spacious room and welcoming hosts.
Pros: great place, very clean
Pros: Lovely hosts. Large room with comfy bed and excellent breakfast ( includes egg and bacon). We had a lovely, simple evening meal in restaurant Meteor ( phalsbourg) which also sells local beers. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Pros: All the rest. The host is unique, the room was very cosy , nice walks in the surroundings and a delicious breakfast
Cons: The bathroom door does not ensure much privacy
Pros: Breakfast was fine. Very quiet in the night. Everyting was fine.
Pros: The owner is really hospital and friendly.
Cons: Its a bit difficultt to find the right house. Maybe an extra sign outside the fence would help. :D
Pros: The owner was wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast was amazing
Cons: We liked everything
Located in Wimmenau, Hôtel-Restaurant A l'Aigle is a 1-minute drive from Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and 5 minutes from Lalique Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: close to hiking trails, nice small town and their restaurant was excellent!

Pros: Friendly staff. Very clean. Good restaurant.
Pros: Amazing location just off the main motorway. Beautiful country setting and the pool was pretty good for the children. Staff were friendly too.
Cons: No air conditioning and we were in the top of the house which was not great for sleeping at all. There were plenty of fans in the room however which helped a little.
Pros: It's the third round that I stop here on my travels through Europe. It means I really like it
Pros: Great location and great food
Cons: The rooms were a little 'tired' and all had flower boxes on the balcony with deda flowers so bit sad, run down feel.
Pros: The evening meal in the restaurant was extremely good and the staff lovely and friendly.
Cons: I thought that the cost of the breakfast was a little high. I only had some bread and jam and tea and my husband a couple of slices of meat and cheese and coffee, at about £10 per person, we thought this was a little high.
Pros: The location
Cons: Old fashioned and too expensive for the offering
Pros: Not much
Cons: The hotel does not deserve 3 stars or 3 logis, it really needs a refresher, decoration and furniture is old and outdated (the bathroom has brown tiles probably dating from the 80's). The staff is ok but not good enough. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and found the service very slow, waitress not smiling or looking happy to serve us. We had to wait 20 minutes for our first glass. The food is average, mean meals just ok, and dessert really disappointing. The spa is small and not clean, the water in the swimming pool is so blurry you can not see through. We did not dare to go in. The pictures on booking.com are misleading.
Pros: Beautiful location, on the edge of Lorraine and Alsace, in the middle of the forest, with lots of walking trails around. The rooms are big enough and comfortable and so are the beds. The small pool and sauna complimented to the overall comfort of our stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful and full of understanding for our family needs, which is very important if you are travelling with children.
Cons: We encountered some problems with the wifi which was on and off at times but it would only annoy us if we were to work from the hotel and for a vacation stay it was not that important but certainly could be improved.
Pros: Set in wooded area with plenty of walking routes. Food quality, choice and presentation superb. Good parking. Not far from main road and railway but the noise in the background was not intrusive. Pleasant swimming pool.
Cons: Decor looking a bit tired, adds to the atmosphere though. Took our dog and gathered lots of ticks in the woods - make sure your pet has it’s tick treatment.
Located in La Petite-Pierre, Hôtel Des Vosges is in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and Lalique Museum. Featured amenities include luggage storage and an elevator. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location, staff great. Food is excellent
Cons: Front side rooms very noisy, so I requested to change back side which they and it was very comfortable
Pros: NIce people doing their best
Cons: Old fashion....
Pros: Staff and owner friendly Restaurant looking People coming to this place
Cons: Old rooms
Pros: Great location, I have stayed here many times in the last 20 years. Great food and quirky rooms I really like it. Did I say great location
Cons: All good
Pros: The parking is easy. The check in was easy. The staff are brilliant. The food was to die for. The rooms are immaculate. The cleanliness is exceptional. The location couldn't be better. What a great place for a business stop or a holiday to relax and enjoy the scenery. I cant believe this hotel as only got a 2 star rating. I've stayed in worse 4 stars.
Cons: I couldn't fault the hotel in an way at all.
Pros: Good location in the small town of La Petite-Pierre. Small parking in front of the hotel but with few places available.
Cons: This hotel really needs some renovations, the bedroom is clean but looks very old. Some electric plugs were dangerous, the TV is really small and was not functioning ! Also taking a shower with the same temperature of the water is like a challenge. The price is clearly overvalued without breakfast :(
Pros: Food in the hotel restaurant was excellent, same goes for the breakfast - at least by what you would expect at cultural intersection between France and Germany. Dont expect any cooked breakfast as common in Britain/US though - cooked ends at cooked (hard boiled) eggs. The alsacian flair was really conveyed well. Generally staff was fantastic, speaking both Germans and French, but heard them speak English too.
Cons: Spa is quite small and was a little too busy, but I guess that's fair for the money. Mattress could have been harder, and maybe a little touch up here and there wouldn't hurt the rooms.
Pros: The view from our room number 22 had a balcony and lovely views. Meals were very good. The chef was excellent. Good spread at breakfast buffet.
Cons: There are a number of steps up to the hotel from road level. If you are travelling with heavy luggage it's a job to carry up the steps. The menus were NOT in English and that could be easily corrected. Had to have if explained by a helpful waitress. It was very unfortunate there was a heat wave & the hotel had NO air condition or FANS
Pros: Everything and everybody was excellent. The meals were superb, the facilities first rate, from car parking to rooms to leisure facilities.
Cons: My stay could have been longer but alas all good things come to an end for the time being.
With a stay at SPA Hôtel Au Lion D'Or in La Petite-Pierre, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and Lalique Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Loved the room size and the fact it was a duplex so separate rooms for adults and kids. Lobby and communal areas very pretty and comfortable.
Cons: Too many chemicals in the hot tub.
Pros: Surrounding area and hotel were perfect. Clean rooms very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Excellent amenities.
Cons: Not much to comment here. Parking places ok but could be more.
Pros: Pretty much everything. We were also impressed with the female staff who appeared to be doing 5 jobs at the same time! And they were super nice too.
Cons: In our duplex, the air conditioning was broken on the upper floor, which led to a choice of sleeping with mosquitoes or dehydrating to death. It would have been nice of the management to slash our bill somewhat for the inconvenience.
Pros: It’a a lovely village in a beautiful area
Cons: the hotel (and others as well) missed charm and seemed a bit passed there best days
Pros: Beautiful location and views. Very nice restaurant/breakfast room.
Cons: The room and especially the bathroom should be urgently renovated. The hair-dryer looked 30+ years old, with the plastic enclosure completely yellow after so many years, and a light-bulb burning. Also the very old laminated furniture supporting the sink was infiltrated by water and needs urgent renovation. The breakfast is not cheap at 16 Eur/person: for that price I would at least expect a nice self-service coffee machine, not a can of "filter coffee". Also many flies around the serving food area, and landing on the cheese/bread etc... it can't be so expensive to invest in some platter with cover... Several serving plates were also running out and not being refilled already half an hour before the announced closing time. We were also not impressed by the dinner quality, ok but not the taste you would expect from a restaurant. Room doors have a strong closing mechanism but no dumping... meaning making a lot noise if guests are not careful at night/early morning. Pity that the photos shown are all from nicely-renovated rooms (or old photos), none from the bathrooms or the more "economical" rooms. All in all, a quite bad price/quality ratio...
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with many hand made products
Pros: Clean and comfortable hotel. Helpful staff with private parking available at no cost. Swimming pool was also a bonus. Lots of resultants available in this quiet town.
Pros: Comfy bed, clean, friendly. Stunning views
Pros: Personnel was outstanding
Cons: Two days out of three I had to park my car in the street (parking too small for all visitors?)
With a stay at Hôtel Restaurant Aux Trois Roses in La Petite-Pierre, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and Lalique Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We enjoyed the pool and sauna. The views were spectacular.A lovely area to visit.
Pros: The location was great. The staff were very friendly. It was very clean. Views lovely. Quiet, so had a good night's sleep.
Cons: I asked for a latte macchiato but was told it wasn't possible. Although it WAS possible for them to give me an espresso, some hot milk and a mug (which IS a latte macchiato). It was added to my bill but was not expecting to have to pay 8 euros for it... The 'suite' was old and tired. The wood showed distinct signs of wear. It all just looked a bit tatty. Not many electricity points. The restaurant was very expensive, even by La Petite-Pierre standards. I went over the road.
Pros: The hotel was fabulous - loved the indoor pool. Views amazing. Restaurant excellent - fresh produce. Breakfast very good. The room very clean and spacious. We had a room with a balcony and so loved the views.
Pros: The swimming pool, the beautiful view on the valley and the town with the castle.
Cons: The room, bathroom and furniture were quite old, the place could use some freshing up. The bathroom was tiny, you practically had to jump over the toilet to get into the shower.
Pros: The highlight of this property is its restaurant: really excellent food with choices of local dishes and great wine. The rooms themselves are nothing spectacular and a bit dated (at least in the section of the hotel we stayed in) but price is accordingly reasonable.
Pros: We were welcomed by the receptionist who was very helpful and informative. We had a nice private little balcony with a beautiful view. The restaurant was amazing, given we were able to sit on the balcony due to the beautiful weather. The restaurant were excellent in accommodating dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free. Restaurant staff were professional and friendly.
Cons: As a family of four, two adults, one boy and one girl, separate beds for the children would have been favourable. While the car park was nearby, it was a short walk up and down a steep staircase, so unloading heavy bags needs to be done outside the hotel ideally. All the keys to all the rooms were hung up at the reception, easily reachable from the visitor side, and on more than one occasion, the reception was left unattended. When going out, we took our key with us. The sauna in the pool area was not on, and although it may have been possible to get it turned on, it would have taken too long to warm up sufficiently to use it .
Pros: Spacious rooms and excellent restaurant. Staff really helpful and pleasant.
Pros: Nice traitional place. Beautiful view at the back. Relaxed atmosphere.
Pros: The rooms, terrace and food was fantastic. The service was great and the wheelchair access room for our parents we had booked was very well equipped with easy access throughout the hotel with no steps from the roadside.
Pros: A beautiful hotel in a cosy village, exceptionally good service,an excellent restaurant with an optional vegetarian three-courses menu. Look from the room towards the valley: I love it! I'll certainly come back soon...
Cons: Absolutely no complains.
When you stay at Auberge d'Imsthal in La Petite-Pierre, you'll be steps from Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is very nicely located in a valley next to La Petite Pierre. It has a jacuzzi with an amazing view on the mountains! The staff arr super friendly and helpful. Would return here any time again.
Pros: Welcoming team who looked after us well. Restaurant is lovely. So quiet and peaceful
Cons: not very friendly welcoming
Pros: We booked one to two hours ahead of arrival and were really lucky. The original booked rooms were sold out and got an upgrade to a bigger one, this was a really great and nice welcome at the location. We stayed there one night and didn’t take any dinner or breakfast. The location is well situated and there is plenty of paths to start a hiking tour or have a one over night stay during a motorbike tour in the northern vosges. The national park in this region is an amazing place as well. Tourist centre in la petit-Pierre is a few minutes by car away.
Pros: Nice setting
Cons: The food was not very good and on telling staff there was no apologies or compensation
Pros: I had a bath - wonderful !!!
Cons: No breakfast included
Pros: comfortable hotel in historic location in the woods. Very nice local Alscaian food - pike, trout - there are medieaval fishponds outside. We a were passing through, but this would be a great walking location.
Cons: happy with everything
Pros: Good overnight stop in tranquil location where we have stayed several times. Good food in comfortable and cosy restaurant.
Cons: Bed quite comfortable but room pretty basic and somewhat on the small side for two average sized adults.
Located in Phalsbourg, Soldat de l'An II is in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park and Freedom Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Charming hotel, great stuff and delicious food!
Pros: A hidden gem. Very friendly Service, Excellent restaurant and unforgettable breakfast with truffels and foie gras
Pros: We came for the fourth time to enjoy the restaurant en especially the suprise breakfast; every time a real treat! A great stop-over on our way to the south.
Pros: Very cozy.
Cons: The restaurant had menus with no prices for women. I felt insulted - since when does a restaurant decide who gets to pay the bill?
