9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and incredibly friendly people. From arrival to departure, the whole family run business was welcoming, super helpful and everything was so well thought out, from complimentary goods, daily house keeping to free use of washing machine. We were able to use the apartment as a base to explore the Cinque Terre, which is very easy to reach from here. Deiva Marina itself is nice seaside town and the hotel apartment came with a couple of deck chairs, umbrella and spot on the beach. We really can’t fault the welcoming we got and the facilities, definitely 4 star and above. Very impressive.
Cons: There really wasn’t anything. Of everywhere we stayed, this was far the best place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly stuff, very nice equiped apartment... All good!
Cons: It is a bit pricey

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing, helpful and very friendly. They spoke enough English to help us all the way. The hotel had parking, although a few spaces, we did get parking in the garage. The location was 5 minute walk to train station which stopped at all Cinque Terre villages. The beautiful beach was directly across the street. The City of Deiva Marina is a cute little quiet town but has a very relaxing atmosphere, beautiful beach and great locals. I would definitely stay here again. Everything was perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly helpful staff, English speaking. Location is perfect in the town and for visiting Cinque Terre.
Cons: The room was very noisy, you could hear every move the neighbors made in their bathroom.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very special property and Gianmarco is a lovely, friendly man who is very happy to help. He made us a delicious breakfast and with his very good English is easy to chat with. The accommodation is the lower floor of his house and consists of 3 bedrooms (I think!) each with their own private bathroom. There is also a large lounge and kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is completely self-contained and guests are able to make their own meals if they so choose on an evening. Outside is beautiful looking over the green valleys and is a nice tranquil escape from the busy towns along the Italian Riviera with plenty of places to sit and relax. Bed is comfy and shower was fab. Plenty of carparking space. Would stay again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Terra di Liguria. The staff was amazing and very very friendly, helpful and nice. Only the best words to stay about Renzo and Fransesca and their daughters. They helped us at all we needed - wine for night, pizza for dinner, ride to town and back, train tickets to Cinque Terre, ideas what to do around and where to eat in Sestri and so on. Really heartwarming and nice people. Terra di Liguria is a small B&B only 6 km from Sestri Levante. Great place to saty if You want to visit Cinque Terre and the coust The place is very nicely kept and beautiful. Rooms were clean and the cleaning lady came every day, even then was no need for this. Breakfast was nice and Fransesca took really good care for us every morning. Will be back, for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As we arrived we were amazed by everything: big terrain with absolutely perfect grass and plants, very beautiful, clean and practical pool, small nice apartments, calmness and perfect hospitality. Francesca and her husband were the best hosts we have ever had anywhere. Upon our arrival we were treated with cold white wine and local specialties. Hosts were helping in organization of all our trips - they provided us with maps, gave us trains timetables, bought tickets for us and gave us all the valuable tips. Included in the price is local transport so we could forget about our car for the whole stay and could enjoy side-seeing being driven to the city center, to the train station etc. We felt like we are part of family and hosts were extremely nice and helpful. without the tips of our hosts we would not see half as much as we have and we would not be able to enjoy the stay in Liguria that much.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: When you arrive you will be greeted warmly upon entering the gates to the compound, not only by the family but also the site of this stunning property. Book now, you won’t regret it. It was BY FAR the best B&B I stayed in while traveling through Italy for a month.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Place is just perfect for relaxing stay near the pool or visiting amazing Luguria, but what I have never seen in any similar place are the owners who are making sure you have the best time at their place. They not only provide you comfortable, clean room but also services of taking you to the train station, helping to buy ticket, give precious advises and also organise evenings with all guests of the bed and breakfast. We had amazing time and company.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The standard of the accommodation and service were very high for a 3* hotel, justifying the slightly expensive-for-3* price. The staff were lovely and friendly, and allowed us to practise our Italian-language skills with simple conversation, which we appreciated. However, whilst they aim for 5*-style service, they occasionally missed the mark - because the rest of the service is of a high standard, these misses were noticeable. The food was exceptional (although the bread was too nice and my waistline suffered for it...). I have a number of allergies and these were managed brilliantly - to the extent that they bought in a few extra options for breakfast just for me, which I really appreciated. Wifi was good, although I didn't use it much (just simple downloads and phone calls). The location is pleasant and Moneglia is a good base for visiting this part of Italy, in particular the Cinque Terre - although be warned that the trains to the Cinque Terre are expensive so do check out the Cinque Terre Card if you plan to spend a whole day there, and maybe travel between the different towns. And if you are travelling around a lot, Moneglia is a pleasant spot to take a day to relax - and it would be easy to spend the best part of a day just chilling at the Hotel Villa Edera.
Cons: We arrived by train and found the lift to the hotel a bit difficult to find. And the lift doesn't actually take you right up to the hotel but to an intermediate landing stage. It was fine for my friend who travels light, but I don't and it was a bit of a struggle to carry my bags up the slope. But the lift does cut out a number of stairs that would have been a nightmare - again, a matter of managing expectations, I think.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, very charming walk into the town
Cons: Great grounds and garden but the building and its interieurs could do with a bit of a upgrade to make it more coherent. As we heard: that is the plan!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. A little uphill walk from town meant that it was quiet and relaxing. Perfectly clean with big very comfortable beds. We loved our lazy breakfasts outside with views over the hills, followed by more lazy relaxation by the pool. Friendly staff especially those who were around at breakfast attending to the needs of a fussy vegan. Definitely stay here.
Cons: Just a small preference - I would have liked a small kettle and a couple of mugs in the room (maybe this is just an British thing)

7.5 Good
Pros: View from balcony was superb! Breakfast was great. Beach was very close, great little shop run by Maurizio downstairs. Lovely little community with some lovely restaurants and bars.
Cons: Unfortunately my friend is allergic to dogs and we didn't realise that pets were allowed so she spent 4 days sneezing and this was exacerbated by the air conditioning so we had to leave the balcony door open to keep cool and that was very very noisy. Also the hotel has no affiliations to the beach and could not help us to get sunbeds. Main reason for coming to the beach for 4 days! One day we couldn't get a sunbed with any of the bars as it was festa which was very annoying. Finally I was very disappointed to see that the bedding was clean when we arrived on the Monday however it was not changed until the Thursday and this is because I requested it. I suspect that the bedding would not have been changed until we had left on the Friday which in my opinion is poor housekeeping. I believe you should have clean bedding at least every other day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent. We had to check out the evening before we left to make an early flight home. A breakfast/lunch bag was guven up to us since we left before breakfast. A very generous gesture. Just lovely folks here. I’ll be back next year

My stay at Residence Maggiore was wonderful! I’m sure to return to this hotel.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location right on ocean walk Many great restaurants nearby Great breakfast with ocean views
Cons: A/C in the room defective. Temperature for room always showed 24c and user setting only went to (iirc) 21, so A/C would run continuously (thermostat always sensed need for cooling). But fan speed and A/C on or off are only adjustable from front desk. We froze. But they had extra blankets
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I took my husband here for a weekend trip, It is an unusual hotel, as it was an old theater, right on the see front, it was March when we were there so the beach was not at its best, the town is lovely, people Very friendly, Hotel was in the perfect position, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast is your standard continental, Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Are room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the windows kept the noise out, as I would imagine in the summer you'd normally be able to hear people out on the streets. I think there is air conditioning????????
Cons: Our room was very hot, but it was March, although we turned off the heating, before we went out, we did open the windows, and the room cooled down, my pillow was not great, but then I did find one in the wardrobe the next morning !!!!! ahhhh
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel cleverly built into a former theatre is very novel. Its location on the beach makes it unique in the town. The breakfast and service were excellent. The hotel is wonderfully decorated and maintained. Most of the rooms are suites, usually with a mezzanine floor for the bedroom, all unique as they are built into the theatre as it was. We got an excellent deal in October (and very good sunbathing weather 3 of 4 days) at €150 for the room but in high season expect to pay €275+. Sestri Levante itself us a great location and well worth a few days for sun, sand and relaxation. Thus is a upmarket resort so no discos, clubs and noisy drunken parties.
Cons: The rooftop lounge and bar closed for the winter the day we arrived leaving nowhere in the hotel for guests to relax. The restaurant offers a really good value lunch but who wants this after a massive breakfast. Unfortunately the evening prices are somewhat high especially when the hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. The beach facility was great. The breakfast was okay....could have had more choices, like more fresh fruits. More meats and cheeses. Nice rooftop for late day drinks and sunsets.
Cons: Bathrooms were confining and little to no room....for anything. Hardly room for even the towels. Bed was uncomfortable, and therefore we were very ready to leave after two nights.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was a good size, very useful as we traveled from Australia and we have two large cases. I’d classify this hotel as “quirky” with stairs up to the sleeping mezzanine.
Cons: Access into the building is only by steps, quite difficult with two heavy cases
6.3 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: If you are expecting an air conditioned room, as advertised, forget it. The air conditioning is barely perceptible. Their version of air conditioning is recirculating air.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great room size and excellent comfort.
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: A stge property is very nice, a good conversion of an old building
Cons: The air conditioning had not been switched on for the summer and the room was too hot, too noisy to sleep with the window open, a fan would have been enough. Also, as it is just the beginning of the season and there were very few customers the breakfast buffet was minimum and did not look very fresh
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It isn't my habit to write about an hotel but, in this case, I can spend my best words for everything. The location is amazing and the staff was great. the landscape from the upper terrace is wonderfull during this time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff let us eat breakfast 15 min earlier so we could get on the road. It was great! The reception personnel were one of the best on our 2 week vacation. We really felt at home! We loved the parking area across the street the best of the whole trip!
Cons: There was not a lot to do in Sestri Levante but was a great location to go to Portofino and Cinque Terre!

Cons: Off the
6.3 Good
Pros: The lady behind the reception with the classes was amazing. The pool was really relaxed
Cons: The restaurants sucks. Our neighbours received the wrong meal, not what they ordered. we were with a baby, but it was too much effort for the owner to get us a spot where our babyphone was working. the quality itself was bad. second to that, we had to pay for a bed at the beach, which was only free for people who booked outside booking.com
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant food was excellent, well presented and of top quality. We were upgraded to a balcony room as it was quieter season. Deiva Marina is "sleepy hollow"out of season but we expected that and the train takes you quickly to the Cinque Terre in one direction, Portofino/Genoa the other way . Lovely part of the world.
Cons: Maybe a better hot food effort at breakfast but not a big deal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool
Cons: Very limited car parking spaces and very narrow entrance. Smoking allowed in the veranda (covered by a full roof and only partially open to the sides)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has a lovely pool in a garden. Lots of shady spots to keep out of the heat. Wonderful staff, so friendly. Great food and cocktails which you can take on the terrace in the evening.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: excellent breakfast, facilities, location. Very friendly staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice. We opted to eat our evening meals in the hotel - again really nice food and excellent value for money.

Pros: breakfast was good and the staff was very kind suggesting places for parking and other things
Cons: the room was a little bit hot and the roof was low.

7.9 Good
Pros: It was a grand hotel with unique architecture i.e. historic features of a grand villa. Although central it could be and was extremely quiet/ calm for a lot of the time. The swimming pool / garden was a good size. The outdoor dining area for breakfast and evening meals was pleasant. The coffee served outside of breakfast by the bar / cafe area was excellent. Overall aesthetically very pleasing,
Cons: The coffee at breakfast was not hot and I had to ask multiple times for a hot coffee. The rooms were a good size however they could have done with some investment to upgrade the style of decoration. Shower itself was small. They charged extra to use the Villa Balbi beach - this should have been included ex gratia as part of the room price.
7.1 Good
Pros: - Nice old charm to it. - Location was good.
Cons: - due to being so old needs a good clean to give it a cleaner feel
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. BUT WE DID NOT WANT TO SHARE IT WITH INSECTS. TOOMANY FLYING AROUND.

Cons: Poor choice for breakfast, bad sound insulation of windows. Live music at Friday and Saturday till 1 a.m.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and helpful, friendly staff. Walking to the beach or further into town is a couple of minutes. We used the beach and walked around the town, plenty of restaurants, shops etc - nice vibe about the place.. There is a train which takes you around the town, which is lively and fun. Great stop to investigate the surrounding areas easily by boat.

6.7 Good
Pros: Location was very central and great views, had a lovely opera night on the terrace which was great. Staff were nice. Good coffee. Our room was newly renovated so quite nice if you got the balcony room 5A. We only had 5A for 2 nights then 4A for 4 nights which did not have a balcony so was not worth the money.
Cons: We paid €487 a night for a room with no balcony, had a nice sea view from the window which looked over a car park. The transport from the train station which is 600metres is charged at €14 each way. Now when paying €486 a night, one would hope the run down shuttle car would be free since it takes just 4 mins to get to the hotel. Also breakfast was average at best, scrambled eggs were strange. Maybe from powder, first night they were ok then they were not so nice. Stay in the cheap room with a balcony with no sea view would be my advice. €200 a night, small room, not renovated but at least you can sit on the terrace and still enjoy the hotel for views from the communal bar, pool area. We stayed 6 nights with a bill of €3091.00. Argh... it was nice but not worth that kind of money.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent location, unrivaled views and riendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: AMAZING location, very friendly staff, wonderful amenities throughout the property, we’ll definitely be back some day and for sure we’ll recommend the hotel to our friends!
6.0 Good
Pros: The view was amazing and very close to town
Cons: They didnt acknowledge that it was our honeymoon, the rooms were extremely old for such a beautiful hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, fantastic views, good breakfast, very good Wi Fi. They also were generous and aprooved early check in and late check out.
Cons: The room was nice but a little bit small, so was the bathroom,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular view. All facilities high class. A peaceful place to spend three nights. Food of excellent quality
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The 5th floor terrace with wonferfull view
Cons: Small bathroom with tiny shower cabin
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views and location overlooking both bays can’t be beat. Staff was welcoming and friendly at check-in. Loved our private balcony with sea view. Nice pool. See if you can get a renovated room.
Cons: Room was not fully renovated, and thus dated for the price. The tunnel leading to the hotel elevator and hallways, dining room are in need of renovation. Staff at the bar was mixed...some were friendly and attentive while others were not. Overpriced lunch on the last day left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I should have known when they gave me a menu with no prices. Slow Wi-Fi.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Reception - lovely greeting including being shown round hotel Pool Area - lovely VIEWS - from pool and restaurant - brilliant Breakfast - excellent Would like more variety of Italian breads/rolls
Cons: Rooms are comfortable, but a little small You have to stay tidy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Position in Sestry Levante is great. Amazing roof pool with great view. Staff has been very helpful.
Cons: Picture of the room with see view on booking.com is not correct. Picture is taken from the roof bar. I believe non of the room has such a view. Our room had way more obstructed view ( house in front of the hotel). First day our room had been occupied we have got different room with out see view for one night.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lots of character and charm and peaceful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location primarily and still old fashioned courtesy and hospitality which is expected from a hotel of this class.
Cons: Some rooms better than others we were initially allocated a roof void which didn’t work for us but after speaking to reception we were given a room with sea view.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The position is amazing and also the staff
Cons: Inside swimming pool very cold and steam bath switch off
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect with a lovely view from room 22 overlooking one of the beaches. The bellman valet parked our car with an overnight charge of €20. The front desk staff and Mario (Bellman) were very efficient and friendly.
Cons: After we came back from dinner we were hoping to have a night cap at the bar. This area is disappointing with no atmosphere, no Barman so we left. The hot food on the breakfast buffet was poor, scrambled eggs were well over cooked and no one was managing this. The sausages looked unappetizing. The rest of buffet was just ok. The breakfast servers need retraining in hospitality. My wife asked for tea and she was taken to the buffet showed the water, gave her a tea bag, this in not four star service or hospitality.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet was outside on the patio and the choices were many. However, fruit flies were drowning in pear juice as the waiter fished them out...and bees feasted on uncovered prosciutto
Cons: Older, worn decor all over... not antique old just worn old
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the facilities and the overall quality and condition of the hotel. All were absolutely superb. This is a traditional Italian hotel but it’s decor is not at all shabby, it’s immaculate. The pool area is fantastic, enough shaded areas if you want them, great bar service and a very relaxed atmosphere in a friendly maze of secret gardens. The choice at breakfast is vast, the chef will happily cook omelettes etc , there is plenty of fruit, salmon, yoghurts etc available.
Cons: There is nothing not to love about this hotel, it location cannot be better, it just metres from the main restaurant street and about 20 feet from a lovely beach that has events on.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel in a good location. Clean and comfortable. The indoor and outdoor pools catered for all weathers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and fantastic service. Room was beautifully cool and an excellent breakfast too.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very pleasant staff and great location.
Cons: Beds are firm to the point of very uncomfortable and we have an orthopedic bed at home! Also twin beds are only 2 ft 6" when most hotels have 3ft. First room very noisy and small and the second was quite but still small. Breakfast just about adequate but very boring. Lots of bread's but small selection of meats and cheeses etc with no salads. Good coffee though.
