C$ 89+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Punch House in Monmouth, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Wye Valley and St Mary's Priory Church.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: First class check in experience and friendly customer service in bar - excellent value drinks. Room clean, well appointed and everything required at great value. We went out for dinner but food looks great and big range of pub classics and it was busy early evening - Parking is off site but very easy and pay by card
Cons: Nothing to report - Parking payable hours are 8-6 now not 9-5 as advertised but this is recent change as parking notice has been handwritten to amend!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well trained bar staff.
Cons: All good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good Welsh Beer.. And a nice steak dinner.. 50% off steak because it was Monday.. Bargain
Cons: It was chucking it down when I arrived.. Long walk from Car Park ..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed at the Punch House many times; on this occasion it was during the exceptionally big Monmouth floods in February 2020. I appreciated that the property called me to check that I was aware of the floods and ask whether I needed any travel information. I was unable to have breakfast at the property as the kitchen was closed as there was a water shortage in Monmouth. The room was comfortable although there was a missing shelf above sink in bathroom and they have lots of little toiletry bottles which is not good for environment. I always have a comfortable stay although in summer when it's warm and you sleep with the windows open, it can be noisy due to location on the main road through the town. Staff are friendly and location in middle of town is great.
Cons: Little shampoo bottles.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff Friendly and well situated.
Cons: Shower not very powerful.
7.9 Good
Pros: the food and staff were great
Cons: the rattle of the windows all night in the wind
