10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was of a very good standard and felt very safe. Attention was paid to detail which meant that all needs were catered for. The location of the apartment is on the edge of a lovely town with amazing views from our balcony. We also loved the pool as it was quiet, all that could be heard were the bells from the church and the nearby mountain goats. The location is truly stunning and quite possibly one of the most peaceful places that we have stayed. We felt that we were able to experience the true Sardinia staying here and would love to return in the future if we can.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and large apartment with wonderfull view, we enjoyed the terrase every moment we spent time in the apartment. The pool is not so big, but most of the time there were no people so we enjoyed the "privat pool" just for our family. My kids love this place.
Cons: I missed the dishwasher in the kitchen.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big apartment designed as one room.bedroom at one end kitchen, diner and stting room at the other. There was a sliding screen that divided the room in two with an air conditioning unit in each half.this allowed four people to sleep if required by using the sofa bed. Off the bedroom was a large balcony with views over the town, the mountains and down to the coast. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering with good supermarkets close by. The property is on a steep hill so the steps up to the pool are quite steep.the pool is quite small with an built in jacuzzi. The area to relax around the pool is limited but with good sunbeds. Overall the apartment was very clean and well maintained. The lady on reception was extremely welcoming and friendly. Very good at helping with local amenities providing a town map.
Cons: Only a small garage(4 cars) the rest of the parking was about 3 minutes walk away.roads around the town up to the apartment block are rather narrow.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable appartements, great staff, up to date information about events in Muravera and close places. A small swimmingpool with a phantastic view.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and very well maintained place. High quality interior also amenities and pool area. Clean and cozy apartment! The staff is very friendly and helpful, educated and professional! Inside parking with night surveillance. Muravera is beautiful with lots things to find around, it is a mountain village so expect some tiny up and down roads which we tough was fun.
Cons: Google maps will lead you a challenging rut which was not nice but once you find the right way is no pb.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A well appointed, well equipped, clean and comfortable apartment in a quiet location. Laura was welcoming and very understanding when we arrived quite a bit later than expected! We were left alone but knew where she was if we needed anything. We liked our private balcony with lovely views that we could use any time of day as it was shaded. The property has private parking which we appreciated. A good base for exploring the beautiful beaches.
Cons: These are not negative points but Muravera is not a particularly 'touristy' place. It has a good supermarket within a short drive and is also walkable. There are a couple of bars and restaurants. Go armed with a few words of Italian and a very good map though the property is well signed from the main road. If you are hiring a car, we recommend the smallest one you can manage as the side streets are very narrow. A good base for a very relaxing beach holiday, perhaps not if you want to explore and like some night life.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The apartment we got has a two levels, with one bedroom on each. Thankfully this, we all could have had some privacy as well. Laura was very kind, helped a lot before our arrival, and also was so kind to book a table in a nearby ristorante. There are nice souvenirs at the reception, and also a map with many interesting places to visit nearby, don't miss it!
Cons: However the kitchen equipment was fine, a knife sharpener would be nice to have in the apartment, since the knife was not sharp and thus very hard to work with. Nothing else besides this, the place is as charming as it looks on the pictures.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: High quality apartment, spacious and well equipped.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Laura was wonderful to work with & tried to accommodate our needs
Cons: Walls are very thin & the guests upstairs partied until early morning & made it impossible to sleep. Also, the booking.com states washer is included but we found out there is an extra cost to use it. Also when we checked in we were asked for $150 cash Euros for the security deposit; all other hotels I’ve stayed in let you put the security deposit on your credit card. This info should be told to the guest prior to check in.
Mirto E Mare - Muravera - Bedroom
6
8.9 Excellent (129 reviews)
C$ 149+
Overview Reviews
With a fantastic seafront location on the sandy beach, Mirto E Mare is located inside a natural reserve home to pink flamingos. It offers sea-view rooms with en suite bathroom and free Wi-Fi. Guests at the Mirto E Mare B&B enjoy a free breakfast every morning, with both sweet and savoury items. Guest rooms come with country-style décor, tiled floors, a cooling fan and flat-screen TV. The property has its own garden and private parking. It is about 10 minutes' drive from the centre of Muravera.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice accommodation, it has 3-5 units. The one that looks towards the sea looks the best, we were in the one on the opposite side, but that one is also nice, private and you can always sit in the garden that has a sea view. Nice breakfast for Sardinia standards, mostly sweets and fruit. Host were helpful and kind. You can go to the beach form the garden, 3 minutes walk. Beach is not with turquoise blue water, but it is a nice clean sandy beach, looks better then on google maps.
Cons: Only bad thing was a nearby hotel that has some music "shows" every day, but it finishes at midnight. Wifi is bad, but that was in common for all 4 places we stayed at on Sardinia.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location with a nice garden overlooking dunes and sea. Perfect place to relax for a few days and slightly different to nearby beach costa rei. Hosts were very kind serving great breakfast too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location literally right on the beach, had our own terrace with table and chairs, room was very comfortable and had a fabulous breakfast on the terrace! Hosts were absolutely lovely also!
Cons: The weather wasn’t great which of course isn’t the hosts fault but we still made the most of it and had a lovely walk on the beach and then went into Muravera for a lovely dinner!
7.5 Good
Pros: The beach is fantastic. Breakfast was very well presented.
Cons: We were in the downstairs back room. It should be considerably cheaper than the upstairs room because it has no view.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is Part of a beautiful house right Beside a beautiful and less crowded beach. The Hosts were very Kind and friendly. Breakfast was also delicious, with Fruits, a typical Italian breakfast and a awesome view of the sea. Sadly we arrived to Late in the evening to enjoy our stay to the fullest. All the best for the hosts! Greetings
Cons: Wifi is too far away to have any connection
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place direct to the sea. Its cozy and quiet. Mauro and Elena are lovely people. The Beach Is clean and a little bit off the tourist beaches. Perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mirto E Mare provided the perfect first stop to unwind on our honeymoon. Highlights included the wonderful breakfast, with ample food and lovely coffee, whilst overlooking the sea. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and treated to some beautiful cookies as part of a perfect romantic surpise treat on our arrival. The lovely garden made an ideal setting to enjoy our first evening. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. Thank you again for a perfect stay and appreciated and genuine hospitality.
Cons: We wished we could have stayed longer, and found no problems of note in our short stay. If anything the breakfast was so fantastic and varied, our only concern was any possibility of food waste - perhaps a quick query of which aspects we'd like the night before would reduce this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location right on the beach, which was uncrowded and clean. Great breakfasts, different each day. We were able to use sun loungers in the garden if we needed a bit of shade and didn’t want to go to the beach. Friendly dogs and cats which left you well alone if you wanted them to. Although it was mid 30s in temperature the fan was effective and we didn’t miss air conditioning. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We had the sea facing room which had a terrace with two chairs and a table which was great when we didn’t want to go out to eat and brought our own food in. Useful fridge in the room with a welcome pack of a bottle of water and a bottle of wine!
Cons: Having to leave. There was some noise from the PA system from the hotel next door which meant that the peace and quiet was at times disturbed. Why do they use those things?! It wasn’t too invasive though and you could take it in your stride. The windows closed at night fully blocked out the sound so nice peaceful sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect breakfest, really nice beach, perfect location with a lot of flamingos. The addition: we had a personal guards: Steve and Peggy :-) .
7.1 Good
Pros: Set in a beautiful location overlooking the sea, Mirto e Mare is perfect to have a relaxing stay.
Cons: There aren't many places around to go out and eat, so you always need to have a car to go to the nearest village. We didn't know that the payment should have been done in cash so had to drive to withdraw cash to the village of Muravera and back (would have been good to know in advance). I also don't think it was a good value for money as seemed overpriced (130€) for just a room.
Il Portico Guesthouse - Muravera - Building

8.9 Excellent (118 reviews)
C$ 107+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mauro is the perfect host, preparing an incredibly delicious breakfast every morning. The guest house and the rooms are very cosy, clean and lovingly decorated. Il Portico is situated in the center of Muravera with restaurants and bars nearby and a good starting point to discover not only the beaches nearby but also the Costa Rei or Arbatax.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Assorted breakfast
Cons: Unexpected charges attempt by the host. The bathroom requires maintenance, visible mould. We had a hard time sleeping due to the presence of mosquitoes in the room (windows without nets). Noisy, low quality mattresses. Very disappointing, unpleasant stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely Host/Chef, truly great breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and incredible breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The B&B is in a historic house and is tastefully decorated with Sardinian collectables. Lovely host provided us with a pot of espresso and hot milk with breakfast plus an assortment of breads, cookies, crepes, home made jams, and more!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Mauro is the best! 5 Star Breakfast... Very warm, family atmosphere... Special hints for good beaches and restaurants
Il Vascello Hotel - Muravera - Building

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: - Very friendly staff, especially the restaurant staff. - Quiet location, very close to the beach (although I'd recommend visiting the beaches around Villasimius instead, they're way more beautiful and just a 30 minute drive). - Breakfast was awesome, buffet with plenty of different food. Very tasty! - The bed was very comfy, slept like a baby. - Other restaurants, bars, a small supermarket and even a chemist shop nearby.
Cons: - Our view from the hotel room: We could just see a few trees in front of our balcony. - WLAN: The WLAN system was really poor. We had a poor connection in our room, and even if we had a connection, sometimes we got disconnected every few seconds. Also, the speed wasn't really - Our shower was broken, we had to try quite a long time to get somehow water floating through the pipe. - The hotel offers showering stuff as well, but the shampoo is just enough for one person/one shower. A bit pennywise in my honest opinion to offer like 10cl shampo per day. - The swimming pool we found was somehow different to the one visible on the pictures; It was quite dirty and WAY smaller than it looks like. - Come on, this is a 4* hotel, putting a 16 inch TV into a hotel room isn't really what I expect from a 4* hotel. Don't get me wrong, I know this is pretty much complaining about first world problems. But seriously, we payed a lot for this 4* hotel, so we really expected a bit more. I've seen a couple of 2* and 3* hotels with pretty much the same or even better offers. No offense at all, just my two cents.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were very helpful and kind and gave us recommendations that were perfect for our stay. The place was also spotlessly clean. There were a few really nice beaches around but I think hiring a car is definitely necessary to enjoy the area.
Cons: The food at the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing. We also had lunch on our arrival and decided not to try it again. To be fair, that was the only downside of our holidays as there are plenty of restaurants in a 5 min driving radio but none were particularly good (except for the restaurant is bisus which was a 30 min drive but absolutely worth it).
7.1 Good
Pros: The property is clean an tidy. The food was ok but could have been better.
Cons: It’s very quiet, nothing to do really, if that’s what you want it’s fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Very clean modern hotel. Excellent pool. Helpful staff
Cons: The waitress was excellent but on her own waiting on several tables. Another staff would save the wait for service and help ( Jesse I think name?) a valuable member of staff hope she is appreciated
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice building and room Parking was useful and always available Breakfast ok
Cons: We had to pay an extra fee to get the access to the private beach Restaurant below expectations, we had a dinner there one evening Our room had a view to the parking lot
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing. Incredibly kind. Beach towels and umbrellas included in the room price. Very good coffee

Cons: Nothing to complain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation here is brilliant and the staff very welcoming. Dinner and breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a really surprise. We did not have any higher expectations when we arrived. But it turned out to be the best stay on our two weeks trip to Corsica and Sardinia. The hotel seems very newly built. We are not sure if its really done yet? A nice and pretty Little lady welcomed us, only speaking italian, but we understood each other fine anyway. The hotel is located in a peaceful and nice garden with orange-trees outside. The room was spaceous, seemed really new, the bathroom and water worked fantastic and was all new. Good and modern AC and WiFi was absolutely great. A bit odd with the elevator: Inside the elevator you could have the impression that this is a big building with 9 floors. There is buttons from floor 1 - 9 inside the elevator. In real life you can only get up one floor, there are no more. Strange. Nice restaurant in the terrace with rather good food. Be prepared to eat breakfast and dinner at the hotel. There are not so many other restaurants in Muravera….
Cons: The service in the restaurants at dinner was a bit uneven, depending on the number of guests at the time, and who was working that night. Muravera village is not very charming and we did not find any nice restaurants, just some cafés and bars and a hamburger- or kebab-place. The best place to eat dinner was this hotel, as we found out. You need a car to make trips in daytime (or to go somewhere else for dinner some night) and to go to the nice beaches around Muravera.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: Old rooms and old property not well maintained Restaurant was low and too expensive for this quality Breakfast ok but not exceptional Staff at restaurant ok
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for vegetarian omelet specially cooked) Friendly staff, clean big room with balcony and beautiful garden view.
