Pros: I like the accomodation. It is worth to spend a couple of nights to look at the wildlife in BCT. I enjoyed the fresh air in this area and friendly to the environment with a composed toilet.
Cons: It was quite difficult for me to get in the accomodation as I have to drive in a dirt road to enter to the property.

Pros: My husband and I stayed overnight at Base Camp as we enjoy quiet and being in natural surroundings. It is situated at the end of a short dirt road and the cabins rest high on the hill. Pademelons and wallabies roam freely around and the host made us a delicious breakfast. We felt very welcome and enjoyed reading about the wildlife.

Pros: Old Colony Inn was the most amazing place to stay! The rooms were like a window into our past. Beautiful antiques and quaint touches in the room made the experience delightful. So many rooms to explore and art work, crystal and china to admire. Lydia was the perfect hostess and chef, as we chose to eat in on our first night. Home grown vegetables straight from the garden and the most delicious lamb shank and chicken parmigiana. Her knowledge of the area was amazing. Breakfast, which was included, was served from fine china, with an assortment of home made jam, marmalade, crumpets, toast, cereal and fresh fruit. Our stay at the Old Colony Inn was a highlight of our trip to Tasmania. Thank you, Lydia, for a memorable stay.

Pros: What a wonderful place. The property owner is extremely hospitable and the property and the room we stayed in are unique and fascinating. It is comfortable and warm and the breakfast was great.

Pros: It is run by an intelligent and interesting woman who has a natural interaction with her guests. The place is old but well preserved with an amazing amount of curios and antiques. It's how people would have existed more than 100 years ago.

Pros: Large spacious bedroom (upstairs) with magical views from verandah. Extremely comfortable bed with lovely linens. We had an amazing meal in the restaurant. The gardens are lovely and Tynwald even has it’s very own historic ruins in the grounds. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it and top ups not a problem. Amazing home made jams and conserves and the coffee was awesome.
Cons: Of course in a property of this age not all bedrooms have been able to be converted to include en- suite bathroom and toilet facilities. If this is important to you there are rooms with these facilities but they are more expensive.

Cons: Too much clutter in the room. Limited space,not enough power outlets.

Pros: Beautiful surrounds and location complimented with a wonderful breakfast. Dined in town at a local pub for dinner which had very reasonable pricing. Nice bush walks and nearby river we spotted a Platypus. Overall a great stay and would thoroughly recommend!
