Pros:Location was convenient.
Cons:Checkout was at 11am, we started to pack up at 10:45 and went back to grab our last bags and they had put a lock on our room. We had to get our key reactivated. Also, I had booked through an online company and they printed out a receipt with my name on it, but someone else's credit card and information. No apologies. Breakfast was poor, room was cold and the TV kept turning off.

Cons:Non-smoking room kind of smelled like pipe smoke (and had what looked like cigarette burns on the bathroom counter and tub)
Pros:The New Paltz Rodeway Inn & Suites was conveniently located, with easy accessibility to the highway and a short drive to the college, yet it was quiet at night with no road noise. The rooms and public areas were very clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel offered a standard continental breakfast in the morning. I understand that this property has recently come under new management and the new proprietor is eager to continue to make improvements.
Cons:Checked in after the 2 PM check-in time and was told they were just readying the rooms then. Door was difficult to open since clearance was too low. Deadbolt on door non-operational. Worse issue was the mold in the bathroom. Toilet did not flush enough to empty. Tried to check out the following morning but lobby was locked. Went outdoors and tried ringing bell several times at lobby door. After 20 minutes, clerk came to door in his bare feet (walking through breakfast area), seemed annoyed that I had awakened him (even though by that time it was about 10 minutes prior to when they said breakfast would be out). Did not stay for the breakfast. Saw that the cereals were kept out in dispensers when I checked in the earlier day so I had doubts about their freshness/closure from insects.
Pros:Outside is nice and renovated. Front desk curteous.
Cons:By far the dirtiest room I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot of cheap motels. Table was sticky and had crumbs on it. Dirty dirty floor seemed it had not been cleaned in years.
Pros:Out of all the hotels in new paltz, it's the least of the rundown hotels.
Cons:Linens are disgusting--bring your own. Large dark red stain on the teal fleece blanket. Disgusting.
Pros:It was a basic room. I would would only stay for one night tops.
Cons:There was hairs in the bed and on the bathroom counter. The sink wasnt draining from the very beginning and once it filled with water it started leaking from underneath and counter. We used the garbage can to put underneath to stop it from flooding all over the floor.
Pros:Not much.
Cons:Dirty sheets, odd smell, hovering staff over the poor continental breakfast...
