Ok lacked value
Large rooms AMAZING staff. Tons of outlets in room
Room was tired and worn. AC unit noisy and ran constantly without much impact on temperature. Wallpaper peeling and old. Just didn't feel like I had spent 200$ a night for the place. $30 per day "resort fee" really should have been disclosed at booking. Since I wasn't going to use any of the facilities, I basically spent that money of WIFI access.
The location was good. The people we interacted with were nice.
While the staff was nice, they didn't do a darn thing. A smile and a kind word does not make a bed. I know this because one day we came back to a room that hadn't been serviced, reasons still unclear. We became quite close to Terrance, the front desk agent at night. Pleasant as can be, but it took 3 calls to get some towels delivered. We asked for tissues, and no joke- were handed a wad of tissues. Guess the boxes are for special people? Shampoo is also held in the vault. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so everything just steamed up. The shower was broken and given it's a wall of glass, it's a serious safety hazard. It also meant the water just poured out of the shower and puddled on the floor. A real problem when you can't get an extra towel. The wallpaper is peeling up and there was mold, likely do to the broken vent. The window in the room was broken. We figured it was safe with our son cause it really wouldn't open, but it also didn't quite close. The black out curtains were the dirtiest thing I've ever seen and had large (obvious) rips in them. Oh, and to top it all off they did maintenance on the plumbing and shut off the hot water. Guess how I found that out? Nope, not through a phone call or a note slipped under the door. But only once I was in the shower and the water just wouldn't get hot. I paid over $300 a night for this. I will literally never return to this location, nor will I stay in another Crown Plaza.
Water pressure in shower not good.
Holiday in NYC
A central location
The hotel was overpriced for the general facilities on offer. Pay 30 dollars for a fridge when I'm paying x hundred a night? Kidding? No real dedicated space for guests to relax. Free wifi was not free as it was within service charge. This pricing policy really took facilities down to equivalent of a 2 star hotel or a B and B! Reception staff had an unhelpful attitude. This was on complete contrast to our stays in Boston and DC. Wholly unimpressed. it was almost like the abrasive attitude of Tines Square had pervaded the customer service.
Location it's excellent
Staff at restaurant was horrible. Un professional rude.
Perfect family vacation
Location, Location, Location!
The most unfriendly staff I have encountered at a hotel
Great place and good price
Service, location, beds, rooms were right size, showers.
Good location for tourist
Paid $275 for after show party in the restaurant All they had was 4-5 items of Chinese food and open bar. No menus for food nor drinks. Grumpy wait staff.
Close to Theater District & Times Square
Great accommodating staff. Helpful concierge. So close to Times Square & all the theaters, so perfect for the 1st time visitor. Clean & comfortable. Beds are nice & cozy.
Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. Not for lounging & definitely not for kids. There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter. Very busy hotel! Not a relaxing lobby or even many places to sit (only 4 chairs & some makeshift areas around the plants)! No mini fridge in room.
Great location, needs some updating
It was in a perfect location in Times Square. A few blocks from the subway. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
Needs some updating/maintenance. For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.
