Pros: Superb location, and extremely welcome air-conditioning (one of our reasons for return)
Cons: The Wi-fi was not accessible in our room, although easily accessible on the first floor. I accept that this is not easy in an old rambling stone-built hotel. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely outside terraces.Extremely charming and central in the village of Conques.Good restaurant and bar.Very pleasant staff.
Pros: Food was amazing! Service was great and everyone was very friendly Common room was fun to use Facilities were clean A hotel I’ll never forget
Pros: Location in the heart of town, charming room, comfortable bed, A/C, nice bathroom, availability of a garage, and professional, helpful staff. View from room was fabulous.
Cons: Not clear how to drive to the hotel. Garage door very narrow - difficult to get the car in. Breakfast was average,
Pros: The staff were very friendly. There was a very good restaurant . The breakfast was fair.
Cons: It was very hot and while I understand air conditioning is expensive, a fan in the room would have made the nights more bearable . Also a bottle of water in the room is a reasonable expectation. It was a shame the restaurant was not open on our second evening as we would have eaten there again. There are very few restaurants in Conques.
Pros: Everything. Perfect spoil for Camino trip. Food was awesome, staff fabulous. Thank you
Pros: Just an amazing location in an amazing place. The room was quite spacious, the bed and bathroom very accommodating and the view excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff that spoke several languages. Really the best place in Conques!
Cons: I find that having the toilet in one room and the sink in another is funny. Not a problem, just something to get used to!
Pros: The location is superb.
Pros: book a table at the restaurant, it is really worth it, romantic, lovely place, we did not and we had a very disappointing dinner at the "Panoramic" (which is a terrible place to eat).
Located in Conques, Hotel Moulin de Conques-Restaurant Herve Busset is on a river, within a 15-minute walk of European Centre for Medieval Art and Civilization and Church of Ste-Foy. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Pricing. Ridiculously expensive.
Pros: The restaurant experience was a fantastic one. Each serving was imaginary, beautifully presented and the tastes wonderful. Something to be experienced by anyone who loves to eat well.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Pros: The hotel is a about 400 meters from Conques and sits on a small river that is frequent by wildlife. The room was clean, large and functional. We has a great view from our balcony. The restaurant was amazing. There is no menu. They ask what you like and don't like and plan accordingly. We were both impressed with the creativity and quality of each dish. The staff is very help as well.
Cons: If you are not a smoker, it could be a bit of an issue with windows and doors open.
Pros: The restaurant was simply excellent. The chef collects herbs from around the property and surrounding area and creates amazing dusts that flavour the food. There isn't a menu which is a bit alarming at first but you just need to trust and tell him what you don't like. Everything was wonderful including the Gluten Free bread.
Cons: They are closed 12-3pm which is a bit irritating if you don't know before you arrive. The receptionist was also a little oddly detached but was courteous.
Cons: Blocked shower which they knew about prior to arrival. Terrible smell of plastic flooring in room and cigars/cigarettes in toilet
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel.
Cons: We arrived to a hotel that actualy was close. There was only a receptionist. No coffee, no room service. All the public areas were cold and empty and darkened. It was the end of the season but instead of closing the hotel they seemed to want to earn few more euros. At night we were left alone in the empty hotel. At breakfast somebody came to serve it- very simple and disappointing for 40 euros!!! Beware- we felt decieved.
Pros: The staff was incredibly attentive. The service immediate and impeccable. Wonderful accomodations. The location of this property is in one of the most beautiful areas of France, next to Conques which is on the Chemin de St. Jacques, the camino to Santiago. The restaurant was heavenly with delightful inventive food.
Cons: The decor in the room in which we stayed could be updated a bit. The bright color scheme is a bit jarring. The public rooms and restaurant are beautiful.
Pros: The staff and hotel were excellent. we like a gym but knew there wasn't one.
Cons: Would have been nice to have better restaurant alternatives nearby
Pros: Excellent food and dinner service and a wonderful location beside the river. The property is extremely nice with plenty of places to sit out and relax.
Cons: The interior design of the bedrooms is a bit retro 1990s.
Cons: dinner outrageously expensive room on the street noisy at night
