Pros: We decided to have a couple of quiet days to recharge the batteries and take in some of the local sights. Could not have picked a better place to do this. What Carel and Elsbeth have created leaves you wishing you had more time to spend there. Facilities are superb and due to the quiet location and comfort of the bed can honestly say had two of the best nights sleep in ages. Will be going back and recommend highly.

Cons: Coffee from the restaurant was terrible
7.5 Good
Pros: Great clean space, awesome facilities.
Cons: On our first time, my partner (weights 90kgs) was on the top bunk fast asleep as was I. At 1 am in the morning, four of the bed slats broke and he fell down on top of me. We then had to both sleep in the bottom bunk which was uncomfy and not pleasant. We were up and on the mountain before reception opened, however we went in when we got back and they didnt even apoligise, just implied that we had done something wrong to cause the bed to collapse. They had put a piece of ply wood under the mattress and just spaced the remaining slats out. Pretty disappointing as we didnt receive a refund either. Wouldnt stay again.

6.7 Good
Pros: The mountain view was beautiful. The room service was good. It was very tidy.
Cons: The view was spoilt a bit by the storage container in view. The poor communication regarding our booking and the number of people staying despite our copy of the booking stating very clearly how many people would be staying. When we called on our way down they told us that a room wasn’t available for all of us. Fortunately we co-sleep with our younger children and the room was a decent size. The water system is very powerful so when you flush the toilet the water comes onto the seat and floor. So it would be good if there was a sign to inform guests. Also, we would have felt more comfortable if they used a mattress protector on the beds not just the electric blankets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: in walking distance to the township and so close to the mountain!
Cons: We had a loud group of young people keeping the lodge up one night, they were respectful when asked to be quiet :)

Thanks

Pros: Rooms were cosy with a sink in them which was handy. The lounge/kitchen area was very cosy with sofas and board games and a fire. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kitchen provided lodgers with a small fridge and a microwave.
Cons: Could have done with perhaps a larger fridge or clearer understanding around whether appropriate to bring and cook own food. We brought our own dinner and breakfasts and ended up feeling a bit awkward about not eating the one provided. Pros: Nice house in a quiet location. Appeared to have everything necessary for a comfortable long-term stay. Definitely a good spot for a large group. Not a hotel-style place, more of a 'book a bach' type situation. Good selection of tea.

Pros: A home away from home....my daughter calls it a holiday home...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, and the property is beautiful. Extremely spacious for a family of four adults. Sufficient entertainment indoors and out! The owner was very friendly and responsive to messages- she went out her way to provide us with grocery shopping alternatives as new world was closed for Easter. And the cat was a bonus- a real charmer!
Cons: Everything was great really. Mostly because it was a big house, it was cold but sufficient heaters were provided to warm us all up! The shower pressure was a bit low, but we didn't mind because everything else was very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true gem! The house is huge, super cozy and modern. We stayed 2 nights only but wish we could have spent more time...it was a pleasure going back there in the evening. The kitchen is huge, super well equiped, the living room is comfy and a place you want to spend time in. And the landlord’s cat is the friendliest you’ll ever meet! A huge garden too that must be great for kids during the summer.
Cons: n/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Once the heaters were on, the place was very warm.
6.3 Good
Pros: The house was roomy, modern and clean. Kids lived the pool table. And the kitchen facilities were excellent for a large group. Linda was great, so friendly and willing to answer all our questions and made us feel welcome.
Cons: The house is a large home, with insufficient heating for winter time. While there was oil heaters throughout the house left on for us, they didn’t really warm the place up enough, really gutted to find out there was an extra $160 per night charge to use the gas fire and the spa pool leaked and could not be used. No other complaints. Just that. The house needs heat pumps or some other more cost efficient heating.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was the best thing about the place.
Cons: The lodge was more of a back packers. The rooms were tiny and no room for suitcases at all, very very basic facilities. Definitely no frills. Simple extras like a lamp by the bed to read by, water glasses, a few bits and pieces to make the room more homely would be nice for the guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location!
Cons: The Shower. Cold or Melting your skin
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, clean & tidy, staff really friendly. Loved the stream walkway!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very convenient being able to take our dog with us on this trip. rooms had exactly what we needed during our stay
Cons: a bit of condesation in the toilet & kitchen windows which resulted in a bit of puddling, but we just wiped it down
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, great location, short walk to catch snow shuttle, short walk to cafe, bars and restaurants. Sunny location. Great to have own fridge to store food. Loved the fire in lounge, added warmth.
Cons: Room was cold even with panel heater, beds were a bit too soft.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location to skifield.
Cons: Sharing the hot bath and it was only for 20minutes
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Loft is great for small families
Cons: Some of the amenities are a bit rough - separate hot and cold taps can be a hassle with young kids
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was very clean.
Cons: Although the room had heating, we were amazed that there was no electric blanket on the queen bed. It was so very cold in bed that we had to go out and buy hot water bottles next morning. Albeit we were in a Queen room with only a fridge and an electric jug, we would have appreciated a dish cloth and tea towel in the room. The WiFi was so weak it was totally unusable and very frustrating.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location and that they were happy for us to have our dog with us
Cons: Wifi was patchy at best
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was perfect - very close to access the mountain and the off mountain facilities.

Pros: excellent location, great value
Cons: The wifi was unusable. two separate laptops couldn't browse, google chrome complaining about security issues suggesting this connection is open to hacking. Two separate smart phones would connect but almost impossible to download data
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great space and a good wood burning stove
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The woman (I think her name was Holly) who was looking after the rooms was very friendly and very helpful.
Cons: There were no large cooking pots so it was very difficult to cook a meal. The knives were all blunt, there was no grater. Our chalet had beds for 9, but it was difficult to make a meal for 5 of us. The bunk beds were not very comfortable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, a five minute walk to the town centre.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great central location.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The bunk room we stayed in was dirty all around. There was a hole in the wall and mold on the wall. The room was tiny. The bunks were about 2-3 inches thick so you could feel the metal frame below. The sheets were stained and the bathroom was dirty. We did not even attempt to go into the kitchen. We only stayed one night and had to leave and that was only because everywhere around was fully booked
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything worked
Cons: No soap provided in bathroom
7.9 Good
Pros: Closeness to town, easy walk for food, ski hire etc. Room was comfortable and good shower. Would stay again.
Cons: Toilet cistern not working properly as kept running so had to turn of at wall until wanting to flush. Did let cleaner know on Saturday morning as reception unattended whole time we stayed, also loud constant dripping noise outside kitchen window, thought at first it was the tap inside not turned off properly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic
4.6 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: No heating
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed ambience with a restaurant right across the road.
