Pros: Everything! Staff were wonderful, hotel stunning and the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated, so stylish and maintained to such a high standard. Loved it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: from the moment we walked onto the property we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm from start to finish a truly AMAZING experience, Kudos to all at the Villa:)
Cons: NOTHING!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a marvelous experience. We were treated to an upgrade. The Spa was excellent. It has a fabulous wine collection. The dining area is one of the most beautiful I've seen. Breakfast served on Limoges china no less and a delicious selection. The staff were outstanding with the exception of the person who checked us in. I think her name was Marta. She rushed through the check-in process and information. She also recommended a restaurant that turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. Agostina and the other staff members we had were delightful, professional and very helpful.
Cons: Please see above.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Most tastefully decorated and stylish interior with outstanding eye for detail of all the hotels we have ever stayed in. Cannot recommend enough!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stop searching and just book this place. We stayed in Luis' guesthouse for 2 nights and instantly did not regret our choice from the minute we met him. He's as hospitable as they come, waiting for our arrival at 11pm as we got caught up with the police in Barcelona when our bags were stolen. Not only that, he even helped communicate with the police when they found some of our belongings to coordinate a courier to be sent to our next destination in Granada. Aside from this, the pension was magnificently clean, quiet and thoughtful in its design and space. The location is a handy 5 mins walk from old town San Sebastian where you can enjoy all the pintxos bars and stumble your way back to the pension. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! We will be back Luis!

With a stay at Lasala Plaza Hotel in San Sebastian (Old Town), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Monte Urgull and Concha Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy, great staff and excellent location.
Cons: There is no swimming pool, there is a tiny pool where you can dip your feet in but it's too small to swim in, the roof top terrace was fab otherwise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best aspects of the hotel were (a) the staff, (b) the location, and (c) the high quality of the facilities.
Cons: We could have been informed during check in that we could have saved five euros each if we reserved in advance. The hotel could provide a coffee service on the ground floor so customers don't have to choose between 27 euros and wandering the old city searching for an open Café. Finally, despite the lovely view, the rooftop bar has an absurdly limited - and expensive - drinks and food menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, the room was large, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated as was the entire hotel. The service was wonderful and the staff was polite, professional and quick to address any request. The rooftop is spectacular with the best views in town! Steps away from the best pintxos and shopping!
7.9 Good
Pros: style and decoration
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful room. Fantastic view.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, location.. Close to the old town, shopping, restaurants...you could not ask for a better location..
Cons: Maybe directions for those driving...it is very difficult to find ...maybe they need a clearer sign at the bottom of the street..
7.1 Good
Pros: Fantastic location- walking distance to all attractions, very quiet, comfortable and clean
Cons: Pillows too hard, otherwise, lovely!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect !! Staff amazing and attentive. Very clean and comfortable! We love a comfortable bed and nice lines and towels , and it had it all . Breakfast was excellent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything great accommodation and superb location. Wonderful staff.
Cons: Zero
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location right on the edge of Old Town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable.
Cons: We would have liked a choice of pillows as we did not find the ones in our room very comfortable. We were given a rate of 17.50 euro a day for parking when we booked only to find out at the hotel that rate not longer applied and the current rate was 33.00 euro. The hotel is difficult to find if you have a vehicle as it requires you to enter via a no entry paved area.

Pros: The hotel is in a beautifully renovated mansion. The common areas were tastefully done and comfortable. Our room was good size, and nicely appointed. The breakfast was limited, but excellent.
Cons: The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the old town. Our room lacked any view, other than a small enclosed terrace.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed at Villa Soro for 4 nights. The main building is elegant with a very warm atmosphere. I had a corner room on the first floor of the newer building which had it owns semi-private outdoor space. Both were nice. The bedroom and bathroom were of good size and quite utilitarian. The newer house has no street noise, though the area is sufficiently quiet that I would be surprised if the original house is affected by traffic noise. The staff is very polite and helpful. I chose to stay at the Villa as I thought I might find interesting people with whom to talk. Breakfast seemed like an obvious time but the bar is actually pretty lively at night. My wish was fulfilled. Members of The Morgan Motor Club were there with their glorious convertibles (British racing green, of course) and there were 2 architects from Stockholm on their way to Bilbao.
Cons: My bathroom was not adequately cleaned. I suppose this was due to the maid believing that Americans only take showers. However, there were enough clues that I take baths. The tub wasn't cleaned (or not to my standards) and neither q-tips nor hand soap were replaced in a timely matter.. I found there was too much noise transmitted from the room or rooms above which may have been just the luck of the draw in whose overhead. Note that this really is a residential area and you will have a good 30 minute walk to the bus station or even most restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Public rooms really elegant. Staff so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet splendid. Cosy bar with short but delicious tapas style menu in the evening. Location wonderfully peaceful but only 20 minutes walk or promptly ordered taxi from the lively 'old town'
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property very elegant. Was a bit of a stroll to the action. But you need to walk of the food right.

The rooms are so beautifully designed and furnished and very spacious. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are wonderful. The communal areas are very quiet and impressive artworks are dotted around. The wellness area is also stunning and not too busy. Had an excellent facial with a great therapist. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Staff very friendly.
Cons: No hot water kettle in the room.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location. Very nice rooms.
Cons: Noisy. Trash removal and deliveries late into night and early in morning. Did not sleep well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was so convenient. Rooms spacious and everything so clean. We had a beautiful room overlooking the park and all rooms had a cute balcony.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and really friendly reception staff. Really suitable for our time in San Sebastián. Would highly recommend.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. Not too far of a walk to the train station and close to the beach and old town for pxintos hopping! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were very helpful and although I was not happy with the view in the room they offerred to re-locate us as they were fully booked up.
Cons: I requested a quiet room with a view. The view was a dark coutyard with the neighbours laundry hanging on a line. The smell of laundry permeated the room and may be a problem for anyone having odor sensitivity.
6.2 Good
Cons: the reception area has to be moved away from the first floor where several rooms are located literally next to the reception desk.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The noisy room, unable to sleep for three days. The bathroom shower had mold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for jumping into both the old town and the newer town. The staff were very helpful, parking was available a short distance away and the staff helped us navigate through the entry, exit, and payment to the parking lot. We had some great tips on food and restaurant locations when we arrived. Our room was cleaned every day with free bottled water, which is something you don't get everywhere. There was no coffee in the room but a cute coffee bar right next door which was convenient. We loved our stay in San Sebastian, Legapzi made it easy and comfortable for the 4 days. We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Street traffic noise was a bit much and our room was located right on the main street underneath the garbage and recycling containers for the block..so a bit noisy throughout the night. But we loved the big french door windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom, the balcony off the main room, and the light so the trade off was worth it for us.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is very convenient.
Cons: No view from the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This place is a gem. Great location, very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. San Sebastian hotels can be expensive so this is good value when you take into account the central location. We have made two trips this year and very much hope for a third soon.
Cons: Having stayed here before I was disappointed that the room seemed smaller than the one we had on a previous visit. However the balcony did make up for it.

Pros: Breakfast is a comprehensive buffet selection plus eggs and bacon can be ordered. Excellent all of it. It’s location is amazing just next to the main route to Spain but you wouldn’t know it so quiet with views of mountains
Cons: You will need Google maps to find it just enter hotel name and this navigates you down a long drive, not difficult, but could be difficult if you try and use the post code, Google takes you to the front door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb property away from the city. Fantastic last minute find on our road trip. Close enough to San Sebastián so perfect for a very beautiful setting
Cons: Cannot fault anything about this exquisite property
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A little haven of tranquility in a busy part of Spain. A good alternative to trying to find somewhere in San Sebastian as it's only 15 minutes from the city centre. Excellent and good value food - especially set menus.
Cons: Not easy to find and not a place you'd stumble across but hotel sent excellent instructions on how to find the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a beautiful setting but close to the motorway for travel through France and Spain. The room was a good size and well equipped. We ate in the restaurant and had the set menu which was excellent and very good value. Breakfast was also very good with bacon and eggs on request and freshly cooked and a broad range of items available as a buffet. Staff where very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The restaurant isn’t‘ open every day and you would have to drive into town for a meal.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Old Elegant hotel, Great location, Lovely view of the Beach and waterfront.
Cons: Construction on the street side made it noisy during the day but that can’t Be helped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel wonderful location staff were fantastic.
6.7 Good
Pros: We were given a handicap room without being asked if that was ok for us ( we are not handicapped). The room had crazy doors, shower and especially lights that were not explained and could have been deactivated but we were not told this until we complained. When we used the bathroom in middle of night we couldn’t turn off automatic light. How could we not be told or have this screwy room explained to us. Manager did nothing about it when we complained in the morning
7.0 Good
Cons: WiFi not working No coffee in room
5.8 Okay
Pros: Amazing view and location Maid service was timely and outstanding, and they were very nice
Cons: -Charged 46 euro each morning for breakfast, didn’t disclose -Small 8 oz water bottles were 3 euro (should be free at least once a day for such an expensive room) -Very slow service at front desk, especially to get your vehicle -Low quality bed, which is egregious for the price of the hotel -General up charges for everything (even worse than in the US) -Crowd is super stuffy and uptight, judged us for not being over 60 and wearing nice clothes
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms with ocean view are by far the best hotel experience in San Sebastián, even though they come at a very high price
Pension San Martin - San Sebastian - Building

Overview Reviews
A stay at Pension San Martin places you in the heart of San Sebastian, within a 15-minute walk of Concha Beach and Monte Urgull. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Where do I start. Firstly we arrived and there was a stink in the room. We found the smell made it difficult to even breath in the bathroom. I went to the shop to buy cleaning products to try eradicate the smell. Then the noise in the hotel is ridiculous. I've stayed in noisy hotels in NYC and Palermo so I don't mind some external noise, however the noise was internal and in the room above ours. It was as if they where moving furniture all night and then again first thing in the morning. We emailed the hotel the first night to express our displeasure as nobody was on the desk during the night and our email was ignored. The noise continued for 3 nights and 3 mornings. Finally at checkout my partner tried to express her displeasure at the noise and was greeted by intimidation by a male employee who produced a sheet that we had marked whilst being intimate the night before. This caused my partner great embarrassment and made her extremely upset. The hotel at no point acknowledged our email or in person the sleepless nights we had. Horrible experience and I never complain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the list of restaurants they provided.
Cons: The shower was a bit small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Coffee machine on communal landing was lovely gesture. Location was fabulous.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice and helpful staff. Location good to railway station and restaurants.
Cons: No sound protection. Rooms seem to be (separated) by wooden partitions. We have to talk very low voice to receptionists after 10 pm or before 10 am to avoid disturbing other customers. Window blind is too thin to block light. We have to put blanket and towel to cover the window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was incredibly convenient, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were very safe and spotlessly clean!
7.9 Good
Pros: First the good stuff. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Excellent staff on reception. John and Joseph (I Can't spell their names in Basque!) were delighted to provide any information on their city eg cafes, restaurants, transport etc. The location is ideal in an elegant and quiet mixed residential and commercial area close to the beach and old town. San Sebastian is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. People are genuinely friendly and helpful and the food, incl pintxos, is excellent.
Cons: We were in room 15 beside reception and it was somewhat noisy from early, 7am, with both staff and guest noises. The bathroom is way too small and would cause problems for anyone with even slight mobility or weight issues. It appears accommodation prices in San Sebastian are quite high and in my opinion do not provide value for money. Prices for Hotels including breakfast are significantly lower in other cities and countries.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, friendly staff, clean
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The room was very good
Cons: It was not including breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to assist us with secure storage for our bikes.
Cons: NA
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On our arrival the doorman Juan Antonio made a real extra effort to get our luggage, and get us parked as the access to parking was not easy to see. He was very attentive and helpful, got us all set up in hurry. An easy walk to the Promenade and beach area. Loved that the stairways are right in the lobby rather than a dingy stairwell, so you can use the stairs. Breakfast was great- loved that you could have eggs done anyway you liked- mmm omelettes. A wonderful stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the breakfast options.
Cons: We had a triple room. One of the beds (the middle bed) had a significant amount of sand in the sheets. Then, when we had breakfast, one of our plates was covered in sticky stuff (but it was in the clean plate pile). That made us question the cleanliness of the hotel overall.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The building and the location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: In the parador, you are living in the middle of history. It is an incredible structure that you would be paying to tour if it were not a hotel. Our room was quite comfortable and included a beautiful view of the water, boats and France just across the river. There are several enormous public rooms that were former dining halls in the castle, filled with antiques, one with couches and a large flat screen TV for lounging. In the other, you will be awestruck when you see the six priceless tapestries by Raphael. The breakfast was very good, but we wish there was a place in the parador to get other meals, like in other paradors. The small night cafe was less than adequate. Overall, an amazing memorable experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful position overlooking the bay and harbour, very nice terrace for sundowner drinks, easy walk to restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, not a very big choice but everything was fresh and tasty. You could also request freshly prepared eggs in different ways cooked. Very nice to sit on the terrace and enjoy breakfast.
Cons: The very narrow parking spot.
7.5 Good
Pros: Building amazing. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
Cons: Mattress very hard as were the pillows. No air conditioning was a negative given the room price. Bathtub with glass barrier was poor arrangement. Breakfast was very good.
7.9 Good
Pros: Historic building, in a lovely position in a charming fortified village.
Cons: Not much. Signage to the hotel is a little weak. Car park not huge. Coffee machine at breakfast time casuses a queue every morning. It would be much better if they served beverages to the tables.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is perfect. And of course all the history behind it. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
Cons: I would say that for a 4* hotel and for the prices of the rooms you could expect at least air conditioning or complimentary water. Not slippers or dressing gowns offered. The hair dryer was so old and difficult to use.

Pros: Apartment lovely and clean.Staff helpful and friendly
Cons: The welcome pack was not free.Fortunately realised before used any coffee or tea that was quite expensive.Thought a bit mean especially when you arrive late in evening after traveling all day.

Pros: Great location. Very convenient bus travel into the city. The apartment was quiet, spacious, very clean & comfortable! The breakfast was much more than we could eat! Fabulous view as well!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious apartment Very clean and modern Comfy bed Location is a 35 min walk down hill into Sebastián and the bus service very efficient, 10 mins Fab terrace and beautiful views!
Cons: Nothing not to like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Modern, very well equipped apartment with a massive private terrace opening to a fabulous view to the valley below and the mountains. Quite location, no noise, private parking at the property. Staff very attentive and ready to help with information and recommendations. Bus stop 5min walking distance, 10-15min journey to the city centre. Busses stop at 10pm so taxi ride cost us 11 Euro (no Uber in San Sebastian). Reception 9am to 6pm but not an issue at all, access via magnetic card/code.
Cons: The coffee capsules and small snacks provided were at extra cost - found it cheaper to buy a box of capsules from the supermarket. A full-size mirror would be a good complement to the apartment.

7.1 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable and hotel was interesting with its film theme throughout a
Cons: Location from the center of San Sebastián
5.4 Okay
Pros: Clean room and spaces.
Cons: The taste of the hotel is very particular. No US plug. So if you bring a shaver, you are in trouble. The hotel directory in the room was not coherent. It was written the gym was openned untill 10pm and when you arrive their, it was open only untill 9 pm. The room door didn’t close totally so I had to make sure it would close behind me. In order to access to the wifi, I had to proceed to certain pages that the receptionist didn’t give at check-in. NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER. I’ve been to many other places with better amenities and at least a welcoming water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking garage easy to find. Very nice room and good big bed. Good location. Espresso machine in room!!!
Cons: Garage little bit expensive but very clean and good lightning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location ok, only a 20 min walk from Old Town. Hotel itself very nice with the themed decor. Parking a huge plus. Staff friendly. Had to wait a bit for room to be ready, but this owed to a group being more than a little slow in getting out. Didnt try restaurant apart from a coffee or two. Did try the cocktail bar - thumbs up. Coffee maker in room nice touch. Room itself spacious and comfortable - bathroom too (superior room). Plenty of eateries close to hotel (5mins walking) - as said, Old Town and beach (La Concha) 20 mins walking away. Would have to stay a week to try all the fab pincho venues. Have to visit San Sebastian again.
Cons: No complaints, but didnt use gym or other facilities.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is a bit basic and spoilt by over eager staff desperate to clean up before breakfast is finished.
Cons: Staff V helpful. Car parking is excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for years, and the experience was fabulous. All the rooms have themed actor’s rooms, we had Sofia Loren. We were surprised to see Alfred Hitchcock in reception. We upgraded to a superior room which was well worth it, it’s a fair walk to the old town so worth ordering a cab. We would definitely stay here again soon.
Cons: Nothing.
9.1 Excellent

Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very comfortable hotel and in a great location for walking everywhere . The room was very clean and beds comfy
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like
4.8 Okay
Pros: Overpriced dump that doesn't deliver what the price tag promises. WiFi wasn't working, which in 2016 just proves they didn't care enough to get a reliable connection (I needed it for work, not entertainment). Nor was it fixed during the time we were there. The "hotel parking" is blocks and blocks away, which defeats its purpose. And the maid barged into our room without even knocking, embarrassing my naked wife. Seriously? A bad experience at any price, but sbsolutely horrible for what this place charged
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Excellent hotel in a great location
Cons: Nothing

7.0 Good
Pros: I liked that the beds had privacy curtains and that the showers were clean. It was nice to have the security of an individual luggage locker. The lounge area was nice and quiet as well.
Cons: The room was too hot and the fan did nothing (because of the curtains but also the size of the room). My friend's locker couldn't be opened because it was right next to a radiator, and mine had issues with locking more than once.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything was outdated, almost impossible to unlock room door and unfriendly staffs. In fact, haven't seen anyone smiled during my stay. Would not recommend to anyone.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good although service had difficulty keeping up. Location on the beach was spectacular. San Sebastian is lively and fun
Cons: Irish bar across from hotel was extremely noisy with noise lasting until dawn. Parking was expensive but pre-arranging it was essential.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I chose this location for it's proximity to La Concha Beach and based on other reviews. I won't lie, it is pricey, but it was a well worth it splurge! I requested a beach view and it was totally unbeatable. It was postcard perfect. The location was right on the "boardwalk" type of separation from the beach. Located steps away from restaurants on the beach as well as the Perla Spa. There is a fairly good restaurant in the hotel that has a reasonable breakfast buffet and great coffee. The hotel itself was quaint and charming. The elevator was old school and fun. The staff were friendly and informative. The rooms, while small, were updated and very clean. The balconies offered spectacular views and modern balcony doors that crack open in a safe way so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Only about a 10 minute walk from the Old Town where the most amazing food scene awaits you. Go in another direction and you had great shopping and sight seeing. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms were a little bit tight, but worth it for the view! Everything else was great.
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent location right on the beach.
Cons: Our room was small and quite dated with the decor and furniture. We could hear noise from the loft every time it was used.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and clean room.
Cons: Not very sound proof roof room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Quirky but cool lift.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Employees attention, service and help disposition.
Cons: Temperature controls and room layouts. So, so.
