Pros: Loved the view from our room overlooking the countryside. The hotel staff was excellent and had prepared our room to accommodate our baby. Fantastic stay, highly recommend! Good breakfast.
Pros: - balcony with the view on the open air museum - spa - the decoration in the hotel and especially in the restaurant which is also where the breakfast is served in the morning - good breakfast with a variety of choices and fresh fruits - kindness at the check in and check out - nice restaurant - position in front of the open air museum, and not to far (walking distance) from the center with the beautiful toy museum and shops - having a very nice present at the check out was really nice - the surrounding area is pretty nice
Cons: almost nothing, just the door of the toilet which somehow did hit the shower, and made noise in the night
Pros: We stayed overnight for a quick shopping trip in Seiffen with our dog. The guest house was perfect for our needs with beautiful views of the farm. Very comfortable and will recommend it to friends staying in the area.
Pros: Very nice view of the farmland from our balcony. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the meal. We did not take advantage of all the offerings of this restaurant.

Pros: The Hotel Sonne is nicely situated in Seiffen, just a short way from the main street. It's run by a wonderfully friendly family of Dutch ex-Pats who speak excellent English. We had budget rooms, which were smallish, but perfectly adequate. The bath was nice sized. Our host showed us one of the larger balconied rooms which was quite nice. All was clean, quiet, and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel was a delight to visit as many nooks and crannies had displays of the craftsmanship of the Seiffen area. There is no lift.
Cons: All was beautiful!
Pros: The owners of this hotel have gone out of their way to make it comfortable. They've included a plug-in cube, a stool for your clothes in the bathroom, extra floor mats, wash clothes, and a clock. The pressure in the shower was great! Staff was incredibly gracious and there two friendly, cute dogs included. Location is fantastic!
Pros: Was a very nice clean and lovely hotel, the owners were very polite persons. Breakfast very nice, breakfast area also nice and comfortable, our room was very clean with big comfortable beds. Ablsolutely perfect.
Pros: The owners made us feel like a part of the family. Very cozy accommodations. We ate dinner and had drinks at the hotel and we were very happy we did since the food was delicious! You need to make a reservation with your food selection In the afternoon. The breakfast is also very tasty. Very close to the wooden craft shops. Very reasonably priced.
Cons: No complaints about the hotel but be aware most shops and the Christmas Market in town close early.

Pros: Great family run hotel very clean
Cons: Nothing to not like really, maybe room decor a bit dated
Pros: Good breakfast . Beds were comfortable. Nice spacious room, with plenty of seating. Lovely balcony with view. Quiet but central location. Friendly host. Check-in very simple. Hosts had taken care to give guests quiet rooms where possible. Nice outside seating area. Nearby bus-stop for non-drivers. Languages German, English, Dutch.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast could have been better. Shower was a bit small and difficult to step down from.
Pros: We pre-ordered dinner before going out to shop and see the town. Dinner and breakfast were great. Staff friendly yet professional. Loved the decor!

Pros: Chose this hotel for the terrace view. Restaurant was good with great service and good value.
Cons: All was gooid
Pros: we enjoyed the visit to the hotel, was a little further away from where we wanted to be but was a lovely hotel. very clean and tidy and comfy
Cons: Our first impression on reception felt was not the most welcoming but did improve by the end of the stay. I ordered a meal but the wrong one was delivered, I accepted it as it looked good but asked for red cabbage as it was missing from my meal (as it was included on the one I had ordered) so I would have expected as they had got the meal wrong then I would not have been charged but I was so a little dissapointed.
Pros: Beautiful location, great view from the room. Great parking facilities. Great ambiance in the restaurant and outdoor dining with beautiful view of sunset. Excellent choices and preparation for dinner. Staff very friendly and speaks English.
Cons: Can’t think of anything. We will stay there again on return to the area
Pros: So pretty! We arrived later in the evening and the staff offered to put out a light snack even though the kitchen was closed. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Pros: Nice hotel, lovely setting and friendly staff.
Cons: Tea and coffe making facilities in the room would be appreciated as well as improved WIFI.
Pros: Rooms are spacy, well equipped and tidy. Restaurant is good and tasty with a fine selection of local foods Breakfast is excellent! What I liked especially: I was there during some kind of blizzard. They cleared the parking and the access road frequently and helped cleaning the cars.
Cons: The area of the toilet is not covered by the automatic bath lighting system and the switch for continous light is very small, so I did not detect it on my first use.....;-)
Pros: Great location, nice rooms, great graden and a cosy restaurant. Breakfast really good
Cons: The restaurant was a serious dissapointment. We dined two evenings, frist night was ok (soup, pasta, salads) second night so bad. The House speciality sauerbraten was so dry and boring, served with cold cabbage:( When we told the staff that we were sadly a little dissapointed, they did not seem surprised. Such a shame that this beautiful hotel doesnt offer better food
Pros: Amazing location, quiet and serene away from the city surrounded by nature. The Room was clean and nature-inspired furniture, very beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, not much variety but still very good and fresh. Overall, an excellent Hotel if you want to relax and enjoy nature.
Cons: The lack of other facilities, such as indoor swimming pool, sauna, and a fitness center.
Pros: This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and in a beautiful location

Pros: We had the family room and the accommodations were huge - much larger than we were expecting. Great location; only a few minutes from the main street of Seiffen. The guesthouse had a very warm and cozy feel and the staff was incredible friendly. Breakfast was delicious!
Pros: Not to far from Seiffen.

Pros: A great location in the centre of the village. Really helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay perfect. A fantastic breakfast.
Cons: All good
Pros: Great location and cute decorations!
Cons: This is the second time we have stayed here needing multiple rooms and even though we booked 5 months in advance they still didn’t put our rooms close to each other. We were all over the building. When we asked about available changes to the rooms we received an unhelpful, grumpy reply. I love the hotel, but when you are traveling that far and want to spend time together it would be nice to be close together.
Pros: Staff clearly cares about their guests. Reception was friendly, informative and helpful. Housekeepers paid attention and had my room clean while I was at breakfast. Restaurant servers were constantly on the move, very attentive and my meals were hot and fresh. Staff at the "hut" out front had great beverages, classic local dishes, a fire burning and sunny seating, great fun with chill in the air. Keep reading!
Pros: The hotel is located central to all the shops in Seifen. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a good German kitchen. There is also a pasta bar on the property - a good place to relax and have a drink before retiring to bed. A beautiful and charming hotel!
Cons: All my expectations were met.
Pros: Love the location
Pros: The hotel is located in the center of Seiffen, close to a great deal of souvenir shops, restaurants, and the Christmas market. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. There are a few parking lots assigned to the hotel, and one can park for free using the designated area. A paper is needed to be placed in the window, so make sure you ask for this at check-in. The Sunday breakfast buffet includes sparkling wine as well (quite early for this, but still enjoyed by many).
Cons: The staff if very unfriendly and grumpy. You already get a bad-mood upon checking-in. They advertise and sell double rooms, but their double beds have two single mattresses, which makes it very uncomfortable. At check-out we wanted to have our luggage stored for a couple of hours, and again the staff was so unfriendly.
Pros: Very good location & good breakfast.
Cons: Room is too old .. Room rate is too high..
Pros: It was a very cozy place. The breakfast was wonderful!
Cons: We could not get wifi in our room.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choices for all.

In the town of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains - home of the nutcrackers and the wooden "smoking men" incense burners - you find the Hotel Nussknackerbaude in a central yet peaceful location. Here you will find everything for a completely unique stay, such as a bowling alley, a terrace and the hotel's own sauna.
Pros: Entier Hotel itself
Cons: The location of the TV set
Pros: 2 separate mattresses in double bed. Lift to rooms a great bonus with luggage. . Refurbishment good. Nussknacker ornaments everywhere were fun.. Was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find such a pleasant hotel although our arrival was much later than calculated and in the dark so we only just had 10 m9nutes to order dinner before restaurant closure at 8pm.
Cons: Distance to the car park in the dark and rain. (TV with no sub titles for foreigners or hard of hearing - not hotels' fault unless not on the remote control). .
Pros: The decor alone is reason enough to book a stay at this charming German guest house. In the the heart of German Christmas woodworking shops it is a pleasure to relax in such a nice place. The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodated our later than expected arrival with no issue. I would stay here anytime I was in Seiffen
Pros: Location, comfort and breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: En-suite was a little small but workable.
Pros: Lovely decorations throughout the hotel.
Cons: Single rooms are very tiny.

Pros: Charming, historic hotel situated in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Short distance to forest trails and cow pasture. Food is awesome. Staff is super friendly. Room had everything we needed.
Cons: can't think of anything
When you stay at Panorama Berghotel Wettiner Höhe in Seiffen, you'll be near ski lifts and 6 minutes by foot from Ore Mountains Toy Museum. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Seiffen? This hotel has facilities measuring 250 square feet (23 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: This hotel was an outstanding place to stay. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The location was postcard perfect. The meals were delicious and plentiful. The rooms were spacious.
Cons: Nothing, even the snow was perfect.
Pros: The bathroom and the rooms were large and clean. There were soft towels. Nice seating options and lighting. Good breakfast with many selections. Parking on site. Ability to pull up to the door to unload and carts available for luggage. Elevator available. Friendly staff.
Cons: The room was very hot and stuffy, even with the window open. The shower is terribly designed. Water goes everywhere. The heater in the bathroom is very difficult to reach. This hotel should really not list itself as being located in Seiffen because of the 10 to 15 minute walk required to get to town. The view from our room was to the front of the hotel and the parking lot, so not as picturesque as some of the other rooms. For a hotel this expensive, I would have expected the water in the room to be complementary.
Pros: Very good breakfast. Great location. Good price.
Cons: TERRIBLE bed! Really needs to be replaced urgently, I almost had to put the matress on the floor to be able to sleep. (extremely worn and soft, gave no support at all). I think this was only problem in basic room, last time we stayed in premium room with balcony and the bed was ok. Standard rooms only have a view on the parking, main entry and outside terrace with smokers...
Pros: What a fabulous hotel. The view from my window was incredible both late afternoon and morning. Check-in was a breeze as we were greeted by friendly staff. The dinner was exceptional and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with the opportunity to make fresh waffles. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless and there was plenty of room. The accommodations were well worth the price. All of my group was well pleased with the hotel. It is so beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for a fun shopping day in Seiffen. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I visit the area.
Pros: What a wonderful experience we had at this hotel! The view was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the bed was comfortable; everything was clean. We would definitely return.
Cons: I wish hotel rooms always had two comfortable chairs; however, this hotel has comfortable and plentiful seating in the lobby area!
Pros: The view out the back and ultimately seeing this property in my rear view mirror.
Cons: Noisy and most of staff doesn't speak english. Food sucked.
Pros: The food was very good.
Cons: Despite saying they had Wifi, there was no Wifi. When I asked the receptionist about it she said "it was not her problem". No effort was made to help. Also I asked at the time of booking if the car park was secure. I received no reply and when I arrived there is a big sign saying insecure car park. In fact nothing happened to my vehicle but this was not very reassuring.
Pros: The location was perfect!
Pros: Staff was extremely helpful, answering questions, helping with directions to events and giving us the best route to use when leaving. Wonderful hotel in an exciting area
Cons: Lighting in the room could have been better
With a stay at Schlosshotel Purschenstein in Neuhausen, you'll be 18.2 mi (29.3 km) from Aqua Marien Water Park and 21.6 mi (34.8 km) from Terra Mineralia. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It’s a beautiful place. The investment in reconstructing and furnishing this castle has obviously been a labour of love by the owners. Staff are helpful and friendly. The guided tour was really great- our guide was an older man with a lifetime of experience living and working near the castle.
Cons: WLAN is really not strong enough for such a large place. It would be wonderful to see more activity from the town at the castle- concerts, events, exhibitions etc. I would have liked to find a fitness studio there. There must be room for one! Also, I was disappointed that no massage was available.
Pros: Amazing castle with friendly staff, nice hills around.
Cons: We were very interested in the castle’s history. We found some little info in the internet, but would be great to have some more info for the guests.
Pros: Breakfast was very good, also dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. It was a nice stay in the castle which has been very good renovated.
Cons: When we left at 7 o'clock in the morning, nobody was there at the reception. We knew before and the staff prepaired a very nice breakfastbox for us, but still, it felt a little bit strange that we closed the door of the hotel without seeing somebody.
Pros: Room was very comfortable
Cons: No fridge in the room and no air-condition
Pros: Classic styling
Cons: Service level could be better in restaurant
Pros: Wow, location beautiful, castle beautiful, very friendly, like Cinderella castle, and super quiet
Pros: Nice castle with rooms renovated to be comfortable by modern standards and remaining authentic. The restaurant is located in a stand-alone building 100 meters from the hotel and offers very nice cuisine. The castle is quiet, the parking lot is large
Pros: Very quiet, rooms comfortable and food in restaurant absolutely lovely
Pros: Quietness and Peaceful. Less people. good atmosphere.
Cons: -Check-in time 3PM is too late for the guest. Please Consider if traveler wish to rest for one day and choose the place, but guests are allowed to check in 3PM and Check-out 8-10PM...so that's not even 24 hours to enjoy your place. -Hotel has set the limited period of time to provide the service to the guests. For example; The bar and coffee room is not always opened. For the plan of tea time and chit-chat, We have to wait until 3 PM and all the guests come to pack in the place at the same time. That gonna ruin your beautiful place. Guests would not enjoy so much in busy circumstance even you have such a charming place. I can't help myself to consider the idea that...to open all time in afternoon and simply stand by just a staff. then that can divide the occupants to come the same time and the staff will not be so busy when they have to give service as well. -Hotel should spare and stock food supplement to provide dietary service for the guest 24 hours in case guests need to consume leisurely and there is no other place around to consume when guests need. In case guests come with family and kids and baby, consumption is needed unexpectedly. It can happened anytime. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to comment.
Pros: Beautiful grounds away from the city very peaceful.
When you stay at Hotel Seiffener Hof in Seiffen, you'll be 5 minutes by foot from Ore Mountains Toy Museum. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Size of the rooms.
Cons: Antiquated bathroom, breakfast. Dinner, main course (game speciality), poorly cooked and not fresh. My wife got sick of it for the next two days.
