Mercure Orléans Portes De Sologne - Olivet - Building
1
8.2 Excellent (2,106 reviews)
C$ 126+
Overview Reviews
Ideally located close to the Orléans-Limère international golf course and Les Balnéades wellness center, our fully renovated hotel offers a high-quality and relaxing stay. With its 8611 sq. ft. (800 m²) of perfectly equipped meeting rooms with natural light, our establishment is also able to accommodate all types of professional events. Enjoy our restaurant with views over the greens and give in to the temptation of our modern and refined cuisine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and the hotel was conveniently located. Great food at fairly reasonable prices.
Cons: Parking overrun by golfers taking up hotel guests spaces. Makes dragging a suitcase a few hundred meters a chore when it’s raining.
6.7 Good
Pros: We were able to park outside in the hotel car park free of charge. The restaurant waiter was polite and efficient.
Cons: Absolutely no character at all. The bar is part of the lobby - it was cold and there were no bar staff. The huge restaurant was virtually empty. The two men next to us kept their anoraks on and one wore a woollen hat all evening. The food was poor. My steak was supposed to be rare but was well done. I should have sent it back but was too hungry to wait.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: location and staff where excellent
Cons: no English menu in the restaurant
7.1 Good
Pros: I've used Mercure hotels regularly when I travel in France and Italy and find them to be consistent and good value. You get what you expect - a decent, clean and reasonably comfortable room for a sensible amount of money. The location was good for us as a stop on our trip through to Spain. Free Wifi is decent and the restaurant was OK too.
Cons: All pretty good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although on a golf complex it doesn’t feel like you are so it’s ideal for non-golfers too. This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and we came back for its staff friendliness, their thoughtfulness in giving us a room where we have outside access for our dog, and the good dinner menu and breakfast. The thing we like most about this hotel is its calming atmosphere. It holds good energy with everything being done with superb manners quickly, and yet never feels rushed. We will be back to stay here again. Dogs are welcome in the restaurant.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The food in the restaurant was unexpectedly good. A cut well above the average hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Nothing

6.7 Good
Pros: Basic but clean and tidy. Close to the motorway so good for a stopover on the way to southern France.
Cons: Shared toilets and showers. For some reason the toilet cubicles blew in warm air.

Cons: The toilet on the halway
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean comfortable quiet
Cons: Very hard to find F1 when coming off the main road - both times that I used it.

7.1 Good
Pros: Kinda guesthouse. But has enough toilets and shower rooms. Nice restaurants around the site.
Cons: No air conditioning. No bug net on window.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very friends check in staff. F1 is very cheap.
Cons: Air con would have been very welcome. It would be good if there was a hook on the back of he bathroom door for your clothes - there is only 1 hook for your towel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location for people to wants reach the high way fast it is super
1.0 Poor
Cons: The recepcionist....very rude ...no manners at all...shouldnt be in the front of the hotel

5.4 Okay
Pros: Close to the highway
Cons: The rooms wasn’t very clean , cold and really small . The shower was so small than we were touching the shower curtain. No service at all and all the garbage outside was full ! We took two rooms for our family and we were not close at all and our rooms was smelling cigarettes
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice location and air conditioning!
Cons: Dirty room with dirty sheets. It smelled like garlic.
7.1 Good
Pros: Like the price and location
Cons: No staff around
7.1 Good
Pros: Close to Leon de Bruxelles.
Cons: No shower gel, broken dispenser. Somewhat noisy if you want ventilation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room represented god value for money and was in keeping with what we have come to expect with Premiere Class. We are always seeking a clean and reasonably comfortable room fora few hours sleep to break up our drive to the south of France.
Cons: This was the first time we have stayed at Orleans Sud, we found the access via a slip road from the roundabout a little difficult to see in the dark and missed it the first time leading to a 2 mile journey on the dual carriageway to get back to try again.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It is what it is ok for price for an overnight
7.1 Good
Pros: Easy check in.
Cons: One night stay as pitstop for long journey, suitable for our needs but you get what you pay for. Very small and basic but comfortable for the night
6.7 Good
Pros: Room clean and comfortable
Cons: The owner was not very friendly. The area around and landings of the staircases had lots of broken things and rubbish, old trainers etc..
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: We've stayed here before at the same time last yr and had no problems at all. I left a good review. So we booked again this yr not thinking it would be such a horrendous decision. Will not stay here again,I'd honestly rather sleep in our car! I can think of nothing good to say!
Cons: Booked a room with double bed & single. Got a room with 3 single beds. So small we had to shuffle against the wall to get past the beds and the bathroom door didn't open fully. Mould around door and window and in bathroom, filthy floor, bathroom door handle hanging off and door wouldn't close properly. Bag of rubbish outside room, overflowing bin, weeds growing up the staircase, broken chairs scattered around. Bushes and shrubs overgrown across pathes so badly that you have to almost bend double to get down them! Despite the 'Do not disturb' sign on our door the cleaner knocked loudly every 15 mins or so from about 9am even though I opened the door each time and said we were not ready to leave! We'd had over a 10hr drive the day before and did not appreciate being repeatedly disturbed 3 hrs before the advertised checkout time!

7.0 Good
Pros: 1.) WiFi works fine 2.) Location in front of tram station. 3.) Easy to find food (e.g. McDonalds is next door)
Cons: 1.) Room is very small 2.) Cleanness difficult to judge since the carpet has dark colour. 3.) Bathroom is very narrow.
6.0 Good
Pros: The advert described the room as having a bathroom in reality it was a WC with a shower down the hall but otherwise good for the money and right on a tram line with plenty of places to e places to eat around;
5.7 Okay
Pros: It's a good enough location because of how close it is to the Tram and there is a McDonlands. The breakfast was 5 euros and you could get a good amount of food.

Pros: Although a simple hotel it was clean and well placed for the tram into Orleans
2.3 Mediocre
Pros: I like the fact that the hotel was very close to the tram stop so I could get there very very fast

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Parking at Bonsai was ample, even for a LWB van. The bed sheets were clean but the blankets were not. The pillows were ok. Not expensive.
Cons: The room really stank, smelly. There was no ventilation at all. We had to prop the window open with a chair. And no latch on the window so zero security. The shower head was hanging off the wall. Only one towel for a 2 person stay. Not overly clean. The signage read 'ons hel'.

5.8 Okay
Pros: the price and location.
Cons: No AC... No Fan.... No ventilation.... Noisy... Small bathroom....
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and had enough storage. I liked that the sink was separate from the shower/toilet. The location of the hotel was perfect for me as it was close to the tram stop "Les Aulnaies".
Cons: There was hair on the floor and on the blanket... The bathroom was giving off a nasty smell as if somebody just pooped. The door to the bathroom was difficult to close completely and to reopen. The exterior door to the two rooms could not be closed. The one and only power outlet was not well located as it was not near the bed, I could not be at ease sleeping away from my phone on the charger as it charged.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very helpful. Although the check-in started at 17:00, seeing me tired with the suitcases, they opened the reception in order to process the check-in. The next day they agreed to leave my suitcase with them, to solve my problems without carrying it after me. I would definitely recommend it!

7.0 Good
Pros: Typical place for just a quick stay on the road. Don’t expect much luxury, the room reminded me of a cabin on a boat, but all was clean and very comfy and the car was parked right in front of our window downstairs so we could keep an eye on it. Kind staff! We were happy with the stay for the money and slept well.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Late arrival key access. The reception area was very welcoming and clean. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Good facilities in the room. Air-conditioning was working. Good sized room for a family of 5.
Cons: Could not access car park once reception is closed after 6pm. The main doors were open at night, which meant that there was nothing to stop anyone from gaining access to the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately not the same for the car park which was locked up.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Correct
7.9 Good
Pros: I like the location, and size of the living space, reasonable breakfast , parking is very close, at 8 Euros for 24 hrs
Cons: The bathroom area was way to small, when i sat on the W/C my legs were tight on the door, also the shower enclosure area was a very minute bath, shame really and not sure why there was a kitchen area ?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location is good if you use tram. Wifi connection is good.
Cons: TV screen is small.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice sized room on the ground floor , plenty of parking both outside (free) and underground (paid) The room was pleasant with a large window which looked across to appartments. The area was remote from the town but a tram was right behind the hotel so very easy to access the town .The young lady on reception was a star and searched the hotel for a fan for me when we were told that the air conditioning had been turned off centrally . She deserves a medal .Orleans was a lovely city with excellent restaurants and plenty going on .
Cons: Despite air conditioning being advertised as available this was not so . When we spoke to a gentleman on reception the morning after checking in I was informed that it was.nt necessary and the central system was turned off in the autumn .So the individual settings in the rooms would not workThe temperatures were close to 30degreegs in the day and no less than 15 at night . I was told to open the window . This could either be opened fully floor to ceiling , but we were on the ground floor and opposite apartments , or it was tilt and turn which let very little air in .I found the gentleman attitude very condescending . I would not stay here again without knowing that the air conditioning would be working , it was very hot and uncomfortable .
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location, breakfast and parking
Cons: Clean, smell strange
7.1 Good
Pros: Tram stop immediatly outside rear door. Helpful staff.
Cons: No British TV channel although guide said that there was. Reception closed for lunch

5.8 Okay
Pros: Its close to the highway and parking right in front of the hotel.
Cons: We got a code for the secure parking at the reception. But at the gate of the parking lot there was no pinpad (lookd like there was one once but got missing). So the pin was for nothing basically.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was ideal as it was only a 10 minute car journey to the factory I was visiting. Lots of places to eat within walking distance of the hotel.
Cons: I was unable to obtain any receipts for my stay. As I was paying for myself plus one other this was important for my companys policies. I paid for breakfast for the duration of my stay plus one other but the receptionest was unable to give me a receipt. Upon my departure I was unable to obtain a recepit . On my return to the UK I contacted IBIS but again was unable to obtain a receipt.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Rooms very dated and bed uncomfortable
4.0 Okay
Pros: We only had a coffee. The breakfast was a kind of self service which didn’t look inviting. The only things I liked were the price and ease to get back on the motorway afterwards.
Cons: The bunk bed over the bed made it that I bumped my head twice in the night. There were no English channels on the TV-not even the news. There were no nice soaps or toiletries there. There was no tea or coffee making facilities. There was no hair dryer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. They helped me during the whole stay.
Cons: The locación was a little far from city center but although transport communication was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Vending machine wasn't working properly but staff sorted out what I was trying to purchase.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Limited choice at breakfast. Room had significant unresolved maintenance issues. Window blind broken: could not be closed without major difficulty. Shelf broken, not fixed. Toilet/shower in poor state of repair, although cleaned.

Cons: It creaks at the joints occasionally, but still appeals.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean with a beautiful view from the bedroom, warm and friendly staff. Ideal stop over when travelling the length of France, only 10 minutes drive from A75. Plenty of room for off street parking.
Cons: Looking a little tired in places, rooms could do with new decor. Food expensive but has to be said very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place for travelers. Or family stay for trip to Paris. Best? Price and nice clean...
7.5 Good
Pros: Kindly staff
Cons: Poor breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and friendly staff with good communication. The hotel is well place if you are working at university and prices are great. Keep up the good work.
6.3 Good
Pros: Didn't have breakfast. Very cheap so you get what you pay for.
Cons: Basin didn't drain, single bed too narrow and double bed sank in the middle
7.1 Good
Cons: Too hot
