Never again motel 6, never again
The only slightly positive attribute I can list here is location. It's convenient to the freeway, woo hoo.
Arrived at the motel to check in around 4:45 pm and was informed that there were no clean rooms available (which is interesting because I had reservations and check in time is 3pm). At which point myself and at least 8 other guests stood around and waited for the clerk to walk around the motel to see which rooms were clean (do we not have phones to contact the cleaning staff?). This process took a good 20 minutes. Then when the clerk returned I inquired about a discount as a compensation for late check in, I was ignored. After the check in process was completed I got to room, only to discover the filthiest motel room I've ever encountered. And it wasn't as though it hadn't been 'cleaned' yet (which is how the clerk tried to play it off). The bed was made, the towels were folded and put away, there were new soaps, but there was food and hair on the floor, unidentifiable substances splattered on the wall and on the phone, and either the coverlet on the bed didn't get changed or it was stained. I called the front desk and related the issues and was unapologetically invited to return to the front desk to get my room key changed. I inquired about a discount again at this point and the clerk offered me free wifi (which I never received). The second room was cleaner, but it stank incredibly marijuana smoke (non smoking room). Sigh.
Price was right for a quick stop along the highway. Room was ok. Laundry was handy
They advertise internet but fail to mention a charge for it until you call in. No elevators
This was the dumbest Motel 6 I can recall. I have stayed in several. There was not even any shampoo in the shower.
Our room was never clean, bed was made with dirty
The office people at registration were very nice.
that our sheets were dirty, room was never cleaned properly, the floor had not been swept and toilet was dirty.
Outside was noisy.
We checked out 10 minutes after we checked in. It is right off the freeway. And the walls are thin. Only window looked over the concrete poolscape, concrete parking lot to the cars whizzing by. And we paid for a deluxe room! Sat on the bed. I didn't want to dream of being run over again and again all night. Sat on the bed. The springs creaked. Anyway, the man was nice enough to give our money back. We drove the 4 hours home.
