Waited in a line for over 5 hours to pick up the car. And, didn't receive the car we ordered. We were given a pickup truck for a group of 3 people, 1 who isn't even 5 feet tall and had difficulty getting in and out of the truck. We lost our entire 1st day of vacation because of Payless. Additionally the counsel in the truck was broken and there were broken pieces of wood in the back of the truck. It was an unfathomable experience.Reviewed 9 Sep. 2023

Ended up renting a car some where else. Staff didn’t know what they were doing was taking 25-30min per customer. It was a joke. I got a new reservation stood in line and got a car before the people in front of me had gotten a car. Never again.Reviewed 27 Aug. 2023

Friendly staff. What could of been better:. we were told it would be $65 which included the tax, to add a driver, which ended up being $85. Also, we were told we could use cash to pay for extra driver which ended up not being true.Reviewed 31 May 2023

Was told car would have a full tank of gas and so I would need to refill it completely when I return it. I leave the airport and immediately notice it’s less than 75% full. Too late now. I refueled 100% before dropping off. Kinda feel ripped off.Reviewed 21 May 2023

One person checking out cars. You share same space at phx with Avis. Avis had several agents help Avis customers Took 40 minutes to get my car. Avis was getting their people out in under 5 minutes. If you need the same counter space, and same agency in Phoenix, then you need to step it up with Payless or close down it’s sucked.Reviewed 11 May 2023

Drop-off simple as expected. Pick-up was excruciatingly slow! Ten people in line and only one clerk. Since I timed it, I know the average was 7.5 minutes, times 10 people = 75 minutes waiting! It would be better to have two clerks (which finally happened when I 2nd from the front), and handle quick rentals in a streamlined manner.Reviewed 3 May 2023
