Pros: The hotel is very charming, and we were warmly welcomed. Philippe had gone out of his way to enable us to check in early, and he and all the staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The room was extremely comfortable. We had dinner, too, which was delicious (as was breakfast). A very good stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and friendly place to stay with lovely food.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room to breakfast in. Excellent breakfast. Beautifully cooked using good produce. Excellent welcome and service by waitress. All the staff I met were helpful and very warm and welcoming. This is very important when travelling alone.
Cons: Would have liked a comfy chair to sit in and relax in the bedroom. No mirror by a plug when blow drying my hair. Had to use TV screen to see what I was doing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous evening meal. High quality food and wines
Cons: Breakfast was ok, nothing like the dinner,! Our server was a bit quiet, didn’t ask if everything was ok. Toast was hardly cooked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really charming old place probably dating from the 17th century. Well located and very comfortable with some beautiful furnishings. Breakfast was great too.
Cons: Being a very old property some of the room door heights are challenging for tall people!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfasts were average (and I got a disapproving look when I took a pain au chocolat back to my room!), but dinner in the pub (taken as an extra) was nice and the log fire and local vibe (dogs!) were a bonus! The building is old and gorgeously quirky, bedding and towels were lovely, and the staff were really helpful when asked directly for something.
Cons: With bedrooms above the bar, it was noisy downstairs until 11pm (and 11.30pm on my second night). I had a long beam across my room which was covered with a thick layer of dust, and cobwebs on its light fittings, along with dust/webs on other high ledges and curtains - off-putting when you can see it so clearly from the bed; there was also a fair amount of mould in the (pleasingly powerful) shower. For the price, I was expecting a warm country greeting to match the lovely building but this didn't materialise - I felt I was interrupting lunch service on arrival, and got the distinct impression a booking.com booking was inferior somehow - it took two days for me to engender a smile from the elegant proprietor. I also asked about upgrading to a room with a bath but was quoted an astronomical amount. No deal to meet me halfway was offered, which was a missed opportunity to make some more money out of me!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pub, fantastic food, beautiful cozy bedroom, proper coffee and tea with real milk in room, friendly staff & delicious breakfast. Everything we wanted from our mini break.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right beside the busy A272 road but you would never have guessed it, the room was a few minutes walk away from the pub up a little footpath and was roomy and delightful. It was tranquil with a lovely outlook. There is a very nice area to the front of the rooms and in good weather would be lovely to sit and relax in. As we went in March with drizzly weather it didn't apply to our stay. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was a treat and the food well cooked and served quickly.
Cons: The shame of our stay was that it was so quiet, we almost always ate alone (we had a 2-night stay) which, of course, is not the pub's fault. I did find the menu a little restrictive with no specials available.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor, clean and tidy. Nice a quiet at night so able to relax.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room and bed, good quality coffee and nice to have fresh water in the room fridge. Excellent breakfast and great coffee again. Friendly staff.

Pros: The hotel is well located, within a very short walk of the town centre. Beautiful historic buildings, with thoughtfully coordinated interior design and an eye to detail. A very comfortable room and ensuite bathroom. A very good 3 course dinner menu, impressive as an all inclusive deal. Excellent breakfast, and one of the best kippers I've ever had. We greatly enjoyed the spa facilities, paricularly the sauna and delicious whirlpool.

Cons: nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing hotel, run by staff who go over and above. It’s in an idyllic setting but it is the staff and their hard work and commitment that truly makes this place so unique. Special mention to Kate who is always on hand and so kind, this ethos is engrained through everyone who works there. Thank you for all your hard work, it is genuinely appreciated.
Cons: Pool area a litttle overwhelming this time round regarding heat but again this is not too much trouble and staff quick and more than ready to help with this.

Pros: All of the food was to a very high standard with a good selection to cover all dietary requirements.
Cons: The blinds in the bedroom did not work so was unable to raise them to open the window. The lamps are old fashioned and the decor needs updating.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very large room, comfy bed in main part of premises.
Cons: Party member had a continually flushing toilet and broken kettle. No information about hotel in other room and dirty crockery. Staff apologetic but not very attentive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A great looking place, stunning surroundings and the hotel was lovely. The chap (Leon) who checked us in was very friendly and extremely helpful, making sure despite the fresh (covid-19) restrictions, we didn’t have to go hungry. The room was fantastic incl very comfy big bed and large modern bathroom. I’ll be happy to visit again.
Cons: Nothing, I just wish to have stayed for longer.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Roundabout is a picturesque hotel in a quiet area between Storrington and West Chiltington, in a small hamlet known as "Roundabout". It is well used by local people which creates a warm, convivial atmosphere. The cooking is excellent.
Cons: The taps in the bathrooms are unusual - ask for a demonstration when you are shown to your room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, served by friendly efficient staff.
Cons: Room was very small, no hanging facilities as wardrobe was very, very small.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Food service, took over an hour. Manager not helpful. waitress did best but working under the manager who did not help at all. If I had access to a vehicle I would have left and gone else where

Pros: Lovely evening meal and great service.
7.0 Good
Pros: Warm comfortable room with flat screen TV, guest information folder and coffee making facilities, decent shower, friendly staff, wonderful cosy and quirky building with great décor, easy access by car to visit family in Storrington.
Cons: Meagre food portions at dinner (good quality, but not great value for money), noisy neighbours at 3am keeping us up thanks to the thin walls/floor, no parking spaces on a Saturday night for guests due to visitors using the restaurant/bar; a couple of broken bits and pieces in the bathroom such as the window blind and wall-mounted hair dryer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely venue Very welcoming
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little bnb, stayed for a work trip but would be lovely for a romantic weekend away. Would of been 10/10 but unfortunately where we booked through booking.com we booked a twin room with a bathroom and were given a double room, asked if we could swap but they had no double rooms with a bathroom only a private bathroom across the hall but as we did not prefer that we stayed with what we had. Would live to come back on a romantic getaway
Cons: Not given enough towels but as was only for the night we made do
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful location, lovely period property. Bedroom had everything we needed, was nice and warm and the food was great too. We had been house hunting all day and were very tired and hungry. The restaurant staff accommodated us to eat a little earlier than we had booked for which we were very grateful.
Cons: The only thing I can think of, is that it would have been nice to have a larger selection of bar snacks. There were only ready salted crisps - no nut or other flavours - but this is extremely minor!

Pros: The view, and lovely service

Cons: nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Added extra rooms last minute, owners very accommodating. Rooms and food very good. Owners very friendly. Will defo go back.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed linen was clean
Cons: The additional £15 charged for having a dog in the room, when the pub is described as pet friendly on the website. There is a mention of a possible additional charge for pets on booking.com, but the email stating that I would have to pay an additional £15 on top of the €120 room costs, the day before I arrived. (And after i had paid a non refundable £120 payment) was a very bad surprise indeed!!! When I mentioned this to the person working on reception, it was met with a very rude shrug and the comment that I should have gone elsewhere, not the type of customer service that you expect in the hospitality industry! I would also like to comment on the bare minimum breakfast of one sausage, one rashers of bacon, one egg, one mushroom and 1/2 a tomato. In my opinion this does not constitute a full English!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quirky. Wonky room. Built 1382. Real fire. Very nice dinner.Excellent breakfast
Cons: Plastic mattress cover
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and great food.

Pros: It was made difficult because the young man serving was on duty for the first time. He was very polite and chatty but needed far more help than was available.
Cons: The only properly designated comfortable chairs were in a very noisy bar. The dining room was not yet fit for purpose as the new owners have not had time to complete their planned alterations
