Great location on edge of old town. Grand hotel for the island and highly recommend it. Lovely pool area.
Air conditioning needs improvement in rooms and hallways. Main restaurant more like a cafeteria then a four star restaurant. Over whelming echo and the food was "interesting and quality expected." Mattress's also ready for upgrade.

We choose this hotel for a layover between flights to the mainland. 5 minutes drive from the airport and five minute walk to the Centre of Ponta Delgada. Had a nice diner in their restaurant.
Big business type of hotel, giving a bit of unpersonal sphere in the evening when we were there. While the room was very clean and comfortable, some parts of the building start showing signs of wear and tear.
