Pros: Unique
Cons: Nothing not to like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Possibly the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms with high end finish but bed was a little firm. Great food and very friendly staff.
Cons: Fantastic service in a beautiful setting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely blown away, cannot recommend Llanerch Vineyard highly enough. The accommodation was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the views were simply stunning. The receptionist could not of been more helpful and it was an overall fabulous stay. 10/10
10.0 Excellent
Pros: New accommodation (opened June 2019) in well appointed, peaceful location, with unobstructed view across beautiful open fields. Excellent bedding, spacious bathroom and a sense of luxury that made for a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stay here when visiting family & are always impressed as the setting is peaceful & interesting. The hotel extension is really smart; we loved the new reception area. Our room was huge & so comfortable with views over the vineyard & fields. The breakfast was delicious and as ever, the staff were very friendly. We can't rate our stay more highly.
Cons: We can't fault our stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location in a vineyard and close to the M4. A lovely setting with woodland walk as a bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable. I particularly liked the large white towels. A small fridge containing bottle water was a nice touch (but also great if you purchase wine for consumption during your stay I guess). Recommend you try the wine even if you do not partake on a wine tour. We attended a wedding party at the venue which was done very nicely.
Cons: Nothing to dislike about the property. We had a couple of issues with our room (toilet flushing and the coffee machine overflowed and provided a cold cup of coffee). Pillows could be less firm - we both realised we have stiff necks today using only one pillow. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food and the suite rooms are beautiful, a tranquil location 3mins from the M4

It’s a family run Guest house and we found it to be ideal for us - clean comfy bed and a shower. I would return if I am in Barry again. X
Cons: The Hill I had to walk up! This location is not ideal if you have walking issues and there are no facilities for the disabled I.e no lifts or ramps etc.

Pros: The food was lovely, the service was extremely friendly and the overall experience was great.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room was comfortable, and clean, the hospitality was good. The location was very scenic.
Cons: The meal was bland. I was offered a free desert or drink but I declined. The location was out in the sticks so I had no phone use. Only emergency. The room only had one tea bag. The next day no tea bags or milk. I did bring a couple of my own and had to ask for milk.
6.3 Good
Pros: Most things
Cons: We had the 1 st night we 4 people drinking very noisy till 1.30 so we did not sleep well when I told manager she seemed put out as if I was making it up but it spoiled our 1 st day with not enough sleep The is I’m sure a cut off point at 12 pm for noise . She did say she spoke with couple 2 couples off there head
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was made to feel welcome from the minute that i arrived there. Staff were very friendly and very approachable. Thank you for the lovely beef sandwich that was left for me to take away due to me leaving early before breakfast, it was delicious
Cons: Nothing. Everything was very good and very friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were quite small, but very clean and cosy. Place is quiet and minutes away in a car from Barry island if you fancy a walk in the evening. We were there mid week so no usual noise :) Breakfast was very well cooked to order, a shame there were no alternatives to cows milk for my morning coffee.
Cons: Dinner was very nice, but very very salty. All three dishes that we have ordered were too salty, to the point that I could not finish a really lovely pie.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Booked on line only a double room available, requested a twin room if one became available. On the second night we were given another room as one had become available. Feel the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Big thank you to the staff.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Very quiet location. Friendly staff.
Cons: The evening meal I chose was not very good. However my husband had a good meal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything at the Fox and Hounds is dog friendly ( not just dog accommodating). The staff are cheerful and helpful with a great local knowledge. They made the stay a pleasure. The food was wonderful and I only wish I could have tried more. I had something different at each meal without any issues. The value for money was also a great change from a large chain hotel. I will be recommending this establishment to many of my travelling friends.
Cons: The Fox and Hounds cannot be faulted but the ability to release the dogs in a green open area that is safe for the local farming community is difficult. I have two mastiffs and this was our only issue. We could not fault the Staff or Fox and Hounds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great...quiet and historic spot with a lovely old church next door. A must see if in the area.

Hairdryer in room, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities. Fab modern en suite. Bed was enormous and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. 7.1 Good
Pros: The room was bright, comfortable and spacious. Period features and furnishings gave the room a grand feel.

Pros: The room was amazing, the bed was great and it had a fantastic bathroom
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Located centrally - close to shops

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, good atmosphere and very accommodating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big comfy bed, super clean room, fab breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: They had good options of cooked breakfast and what we've tried was good. We ate at the restaurant and the food served was really tasty and cooked to perfection. Very comfy beds.
Cons: No pastries as an option for breakfast. The market nearby had amazing fresh breads and one could feel the smell from the hotel. However, the bread offered for toast at the hotel was just an ordinary over-processed supermarket bread.

We could hear every dart hit the board with a thud!

5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff were courteous, professional and helpful.
Cons: Staff were lovely, very professional but our room smelt like a Tom cat had been marking its territory in there. I can still smell it now, wouldn't go back. Also not impressed that they served people in skimpy pyjamas in the bar, and trust me there was an awful lot of flesh on show. It wasn't a good sight.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the airport and friendly staff. Crisps stored in the fridge and the Thunderbird maintenance trolly kept us amused :-)
Cons: A few things need regular dusting that are currently missed - such as the fire exit lamps in the corrodors

Cons: Slightly dated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good night sleep , also had Tea and coffee and bottles of water
Cons: Shower could have been more powerful
5.8 Okay
Pros: Easy to get to
Cons: Myself and my Partner decided to book a mid week get away for out 5 year anniversary. And we did not expect to be fixing the bed at 2am for it to still continue to brake because the slats where falling off the bed, it had clearly happened before as there’s was extra wood on the bed already!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was of a good quality.
Cons: The bar/lounge area lacked any atmosphere at all. I could clearly hear the receptionist dealing with a disgruntled customer. The occasional background music was a loop of very bad covers and conversation was awkward because of almost total silence between bouts of reception conversations and said bad musk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms
Cons: Shower in bath hard to use wouldn’t go in to its holder Had to hold it in one hand
7.5 Good
Pros: Sharon was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: I had to pay for one night £90 because I'm had to check out two days earlier due to change in my travel plans. Normally once you have checked into a hotel and spent 5 nights like I deed, most hotels will NEVER charge you no show. I feel it's Un fair to charge me that money.

Pros: Very clean and lovely room was nice staff are very frendly and polite
5.8 Okay
Pros: .
Cons: Beds uncomfortable and not good to see the place single manned. Poor girl rushed off her feet
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Only the proximity to Cardiff Airport.
Cons: My room was freezing cold. The bed was limp, with thin bed linen. I overlooked a car park or an off airport car park which was ugly and busy. I arrived too late for food and no ideas about how to get food. Left too early for breakfast with no sign of this continental breakfast box. There is no airport shuttle, just taxis. Very badly mislead by the description. I didn’t sleep much and will not be returning. Very over-priced.
6.7 Good
Pros: Fantastic meals & breakfast been before so knew what too expect and they didn't disappoint thanks!
Cons: Heating in room wasn't working had too ask for a heater!? No tea or coffee think the cleaner forgot as there was only sugar? Not enough staff the poor girl serving meals was rushed off her feet and done an outstanding job considering!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very clean and comfy..eccelent shower and one of the best beds ive slept in. Staff were very friendly without being too informal Room 214 is a real nice room..will definitely stay again when next in the area..10/10
Cons: Cant fault anything
7.5 Good
Pros: the location was perfect for my needs, I was not expecting 5 star for the price was cheaper then other hotels in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The shower head was loose and would not stay at my height. there was a park and ride outside my window with buses going through the night. Mattress needed a comforter as you could feel the springs.
8.8 Excellent

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: I asked for a wake-up call......and it didn't happen. I can overlook a great deal....but not that. Just this one slip means I will not return.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Miskin Manor set in beautiful grounds. Staff very accommodating and helpful
6.3 Good
Pros: Reception staff Evening meal and breakfast good
Cons: Changed rooms twice Once again the hotel seemed to have had better dayc
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Truly first class.
Cons: The vegetarian supper was very good; but I would have like more choices.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The location was ideal for my purposes and the hotel grounds splendid. The staff were working hard in a friendly manner to make sure all was running smoothly.
Cons: The room( No 39 ) was supposed to be classed as a superior. It offered very poor value . The toilet was damaged and had had a bodged repair with Araldite or similar. I consider this to be completely unacceptable and symptomatic of very poor management Breakfast was served in a split location and was poorly presented. The whole property looked and felt run down.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Honestly, nothing,
Cons: What can I say… I was initially looking forward to staying here, I work in the area but the from the first moment the hotel was a disappointment. Firstly, there is no mention during booking on their website or any confirmation letter that the restaurant has a no Jeans or Trainers policy, which is very old fashioned given that even the finest hotels in the country no longer operate policies like this. However, the hotel itself is awful, tired, dated, grimy and in extensive need of upkeep. It is clear the resources are not being put back into the hotel and the hotel is operating at barely a two star standard, it is shocking that they believe this passes for Four stars. My initial rooms bathroom was in an absolute disgrace, the door handle on the room door stuck open which in itself is dangerous and the room was in a general state of disrepair. Even after moving me to their superior/upgraded room it wasn’t much better, a shower which is just a pipe and a shower head, not adjustable and sits around 5’6 meaning I had to crouch to get under it. The windows were broken and buckled meaning they didn’t open. The duty manager deemed this as acceptable and her attitude was that of not really caring. I left after one night and checked out early. The food I had was okay, nothing special however expensive, £8.00 for a Tuna, Onion & Mayo sandwich. However, the savoury scone I had was very nice. When I went to discuss my concerns with reception, I was amazed to find the hotel corridor in complete pitch-black darkness, see photos attached. I will not be returning, it shows the owners & management really do not care if they allow the hotel to fall into this state of repair.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Building and grounds are stunning.
Cons: Food was poor. Lack of attention to detail. Staff not as helpful or akin to what you would expect of this type of hotel. The potential of this hotel is immense, but let down by hows it managed, run and operated.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is a renovated country house set in lovely grounds - straight away you can see why it would be popular for weddings. Meals and breakfast were good and the staff were friendly if a little eccentric.
Cons: The room (superior with a garden view) was distinctly average. Overall the hotel has the feel of being slightly run down. Morbid paintings by the owner adorn the walls and staff are helpful although often confused as though it was their first day at work. Wifi was limited.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting very quiet and calming
Cons: Nothing
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. The price you pay is reflected by the amount it must take to be spent on the upkeep of the 22acres of gardens it’s set in - it’s categorically NOT spent on the upkeep of the hotel or the shoddy room we were allocated. Where to start...we had a two night stay there and clearly got the “booking.com” room. It was absolutely appalling. No WiFi. (Unless you stood behind the bedroom door!). It was dirty, and in a very bad state of repair. The bathroom was grubby, botched up, had a broken mirror which had been ‘fixed’ by shoving a toilet roll behind it. The shower was pathetic, no pressure with just a few drops of water trickling from it. The tiles had big cracks, the towel radiator was filthy, as was the sink and vanity unit. Then we come to the bedroom. Well! As you can see from the photos, the room hadn’t been cleaned or dusted since Adam was a lad. The photos clearly show the amount and thickness of the dust on the bed frame. All those dust mites! Yuk! We spoke to the young lady on reception and she said the manager would move us the following day, but nope, nada, zilch. The wallpaper was coming off around the skylight and above the wardrobe. There was crumbling plasterwork above the wardrobe and the window. The biggest laugh though was the card in our room which said it had been prepared by the head housekeeper. Off with her head if that’s the case! Miskin Manor, have you no shame? What makes you think it’s acceptable to offer such shoddy, filthy accommodation to people? We think the photos speak for themselves, For those of you reading this, do yourself a favour...if you’re planning a trip to Cardiff, don’t stay here, it’s an absolute shocker!

Pros: A cheap and pleasant place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location lots of room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent room perfect for a family
Cons: No hot breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was everything the write up said it was, no pretence and a good price
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very welcoming, very accommodating, even letting us check in much early than we should have! We travelled down to go and watch the rugby in cardiff, the match was at 2.30, we arrived at the hotel around 11am and they had no issues with us checking in at that time. Brilliant little property, just 15 mins from Cardiff on the train, from Barry! Continental breakfast was included. The rooms are basic but for the price you pay compared to city centre Cardiff (we paid £50 for 1 night) the value for money is excellent, and all we needed was somewhere to get our heads down after the match! This is our 2nd stay here now, having previously stayed last year also. Will definitely be coming back next year!
Cons: The area outside is slightly run down but that doesn’t have any reflection of the hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great! Good value for money
5.8 Okay
Pros: Pub was ok, drinks reasonable and pool table good.
Cons: Room was ok for 1 nights stay. Was just outside, garden was full of litter, and hanging baskets had seen better days!
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice big family room, had a good nite sleep
Cons: It could do with updating
6.0 Good
Pros: Great value for the cost, very standard but suitable for a night. Lovely idea about free continental breakfast in the morning. Staff polite and helpful, could do with a separate drinking area for hotel side rather than in the bar with the locals. Other than value for money.
Cons: Drinking with the locals bit rowdy, needed a separate area for hotel guests.
7.9 Good
Pros: Car Park on site. Property suitable for overnight stay but not for anything longer. With a little bit of effort and producing a full Menu could be a better hotel.
Cons: Breakfast: Poor selection of cereals etc., bread not very fresh. NO HOT WATER in bathroom.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Great price for a night away
Cons: the breakfast was basic (cereal and toast) but there are cafe's locally to get cooked food.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location is on a industrial estate, ample parking. Very clean & the beds were extremely comfortable. . We only had breakfast one morning, which was standard. The lady who cooked it was very pleasant. Plenty of Tea, Coffee, hot chocolate, towels & toiletries in the room. We stayed 2 nights, and beds were changed next day Pricewise probably one of the lowest we seen in the area! Highlight of our visit was watching 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in our deck chairs on the beach viewing a giant screen, courtesy of the local council, and off-course the weather Only about 15 miles from Barry Island, Llantwit Major & Nash Point (Lighthouse). Some of the places we visited while here WARMEST & SUNNIEST August BH weekend on record :-)
Cons: The Bar & Restaurant could do with a makeover
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fantastic. We attended a wedding at Hensol Castle and this was a perfect place for us to stay as it was only a 10minute drive from the venue. Other guests were staying at the vale which cost £150 per night yet our stay at Haveli was on £55! I can honestly say that these rooms were as plush as the vale and immaculately clean. It was a nice touch having the coffee/tea/ hot chocolate amenities as well as bottled water and biscuits in the room. Breakfast was separate but that was no worries as we were in a rush so didn’t have time anyway. Overall we all agreed that we would definitely stay here again!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like! 10/10
4.2 Okay

7.5 Good

Cons: the breakfast
5.4 Okay
Pros: The comfy bed
Cons: Breakfast was very disapointing for the price, which was also a very awkward enviroment at breakfast as no staff was about. Very little choices of menu. Bath handles where broken and lose wire on bedroom lamp. Safety haszard right there.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast average.
Cons: Instant coffee only.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, the place is hideous. The bar and restaurant do not look like they have been cleaned since the place opened.
Cons: The rooms were basic, amieties damaged or broken and each room had a distinctive smell (there was a party of 3 couples therefore, we had three rooms). Not one of the three rooms was what you would class as acceptable.

Cons: Hotel decor slightly dated / tired looking.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The property was clean (as clean as possible with old fixtures and fittings) and the bed was comfortable. Reasonable breakfast selection in the morning.
Cons: The property is very dated and really needs a significant amount of money spent to upgrade rooms and communal areas to a reasonable standard. However, it was clean and the bed was comfy, I probably wouldn't go back but not the worst place I have been as room was clean and bed comfortable.
