Carvoeiro Hotel

Bed was confortable. We really liked the shower, the actual shower. The floor was slipery so had a less nice experience about that. Studio was quite big and spatious. Pool area was nice, quiet, clean water, great area to relax.

We were supposed to get a studio with balcony and view to pool area. We got the “deluxe” studio next to the reception, with a sort of terrace in the parking lot. Literally in the parking area, so besides the fact that we had no privacy, there were always cars and people coming and going, which was especially annoying in the morning when we were sleeping or when we ate. When I asked to the reception for another room, I was told that that was a balcony and there was nothing else available. Also, the studio had a kitchenette. Therefore, just like in any other studio I’ve booked so far, I was expecting to find the minimum necessary to have for a meal. We did not have a bowl to make a salad, there was no knive to cut bread. The pan we used for cooking was in terrible condition. See picture below. Nothing avalable to open a jar or bottle. There was nothing available for cooking, we had no salt or anything, so we had to buy everything. The door could be closed only if slammed and the door from the “balcony” was in bad condition on the outside. It seems like the place needs some basic renovation done. For 4 days, there was only 2 little bottles for shower gel for 2 people, so we had to get one for ourselves. Very dissapointing for the money we’ve paid. Definitely not looking on the inside as a 4 star hotel. Would be satisfying for a 3 star hotel, if price would also be lower.
