8.3 Excellent
Pros: beds,location, view
Cons: The closed the hotelbar at 10.30 even when guest still were ariving
7.0 Good
Cons: The bathtub is small (150 cm), the watertaps are in bad condition, some buttons of the TV remote controller do not work (are used up).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds were exceptionally comfy, with an equally comfy pillow and lovely duvet that tucked in at the foot of the bed. We liked the black linings of the curtains, making us sleep more easily. The room was of a good size with a good view. I liked the magnifying mirror in the bathroom.
Cons: There was no mirror in the bedroom, only the bathroom. I was unable to use my hair tongs as I couldn’t see what I was doing and there was no power point near the bathroom. A mirror above the table would have been the perfect place. There were limited power points for personal use, one beside the bed would have been useful for phone charging. We’d also have liked more hangars in the wardrobe. The safe was awkward to use. We had to call for assistance, having tried several times to open and close with my credit card. We were disappointed that there was no welcome tray, providing a kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits. As well travelled people, We found this to be very unusual. The beach bar signs are a little confusing, we could not find how to access the lake very easily.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: You cannot beat the hotel for location or the friendliness of the staff. I return often as this hotel is always good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Parking lot Staff Breakfast Overall Cleaness
Cons: Entrance flavours Bed without single mattress
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, value for money and friendliness of staff.
Cons: No sauna or gym.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lake frontage, peaceful location, beach bar - good restaurant, excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely big rooms with massive comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Balcony to view the wonderful scenery.
Relais de l'Aérodrome - Prangins - Building
2
7.9 Good (482 reviews)
C$ 182+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Relais de l'Aérodrome in Prangins, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 5-minute drive of Prangins Castle and Lake Geneva Museum. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and coffee/tea in a common area. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Car park in front of the room,
Cons: Road in front of the bungalow
5.4 Okay
Pros: An OK place to stay for a night or two if you have a car and are willing to drive around a bit to nearby towns. It’s been around forever and looks like it on the outside. Inside is small functional and clean.
Cons: Nothing in particular. It is generally bland and inoffensive. Hell, for a night or two who cares.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is quiet until the small aeroplanes start to take off in the morning, but I knew this beforehand and was expecting it, so no problem. My wife had a terrible migraine in the morning and the delightful Italian waiter made me a custom strong black coffee to take away (and return the cup after) He was so polite and professional and immediately understood the need for a strong coffee in these conditions - We went back 30 minutes later to thank him and ordered another 2 of his excellent coffees. I tried to tip him and he said it was too much as I only had 5 CHF - What a gentleman, please look after him as this level of attention is rare in this modern world.
Cons: The walls between the rooms are very very thin (worse than Premiere Class) and noise from adjoining rooms is a problem. We had a very noisy Italian Lady shouting everything at her husband over the sound of a football match, the second they arrived - They came back at 4AM and she was unbearably loud for some time and woke us both up . I shouted so loud from my room at them from my bed that I think it scared them both and they fell silent (in ten years my wife had never heard me shout so loud). The hotel was occupied that night only by me and my wife and them, why place us in adjoining rooms when it was not necessary and at least 10 other available rooms ? The room lacked bedside tables, instead having pointless empty bookcases.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The restaurant serves good Italian type food.
Cons: The rooms are bungalow style across a street - in the middle of a forest. The windows don't block the street noise. My low rating on safety is linked to the risk to run over the street (It's such a weird set-up that one would think, the main building is linked to the bungalow by a big parking lot...which turns out to be cut through by a street..otherwise it seemed burglary safe area) - maybe not a family friendly set-up. Breakfast is limited and has to be pre-ordered the day before.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: There's literally nothing to like
Cons: This may have been one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed at....where to begin. - The beds are really really bad, I'm talking squeeky iron springs and thin matrasses - The rooms are super small, not even a chair or a place to sit and work - The venting system in my bathroom kicked in multiple times per night somehow, making a loud noise, waking me up every single time - Rooms are located next to a road, so the entire night you'll hear cars passing, if the venting system doesn't wake you, the cars will - It was raining during our stay, but the roofs are so thin it feels like you're sleeping in a tent - The TV is the size of a poststamp and my TV remote was MIA - Breakfast is expensive and has practically no choice (a few slices of bread, yoghurt and some ham and cheese) - Staff seemed uninterested and did not speak English very well - For the money we paid, this was way overpriced
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was relatively comfortable and it was clean.
Cons: It is a more like a very basic Motel than a Hotel. There was a lot of noise from the Restaurant next to it with a lot of cars going and car doors being slammed until the early hours with the customers and their families being very noisy. Room very hot, opened window to cool it down but this let in more noise and the cigarette smoke of people smoking outside. Also there’s a generator or something which kept coming up on and going off throughout the night, so very little sleep was had. Staff average at best. Overpriced for what it was, even by Swiss average standards.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a good location. Our main grip was that the bed in the room was very poor and subsequently found it hard to sleep. There was also a lot of noise from other clients when they left the Hotel restaurant after midnight. We would probably book a Hotel in the centre of Nyon next time, which is a shame because the restaurant is generally very good if not a little expensive. In general, staff were good, but the owner could go on course for better customer relations!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was clean. The room had a more modern design, and the room itself had enough space to move around in.
Cons: Walking into what smelled like an airport smoking lounge. Being asthmatic, it was difficult for me to breathe. My husband and I could not sleep and even checked out as early as possible to not be in the room.
7.9 Good
Cons: I have been there 3 times with my dog, it was never an issue and I always said so in the message sent at the time of the booking. 4th time comes and when I physically arrive they say dogs aren’t allowed......

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay. Nice room, very clean in a good location with of the castle and on bus 805 line to Nyon. About 10 minutes outside the city. The restaurant is a must.
Cons: All good.
7.1 Good
Cons: Unhelpful, condescending staff . Kept waiting half an hour for reception to find the key to our room on arrival. Had ask for secure bicycle storage and they had emailed yes but they showed us street parking. When I queried this they showed us secure cellar parking but then left two 70 year olds to carry the bikes down the flight of steps. Obviously not happy they gave us a table next to the toilet door for our evening meal. Having lived for four years near by in Nyon we found this level of service/ helpfulness most unsuisse and extremely unusual.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room and bathroom, comfortable, spacious and clean.
Cons: No staff on a Sunday, no lift, no private parking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large & clean room just under the roof
Cons: The Hotel and its restaurant on the ground floor have separate checkouts. No very practical, you can’t put meals on the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The twin room was very confortable, excelent size and the split bathroom and toilet provided for perfect privacy, since we were 2 friends traveling together.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has been renovated recently and the rooms are now really nice and newly decorated. Now it is a true 4* hotel. The receptionists as always (same guys :)) very pleasant and helpful. As always I have enjoyed stayed at this hotel as I am frequently in Geneva.
Cons: The breakfast could offer more Swiss specialities like cheeses.
7.4 Good
Pros: Was a solo traveler. Arrived via a bus from the airport (FREE!!). Bus stop is 2 blocks away from the hotel. It's more a residential neighborhood. A great value for the money. It was clean - hardwood floors throughout. Had the best hair dryer ever! Access to the city center was convenient - a few Tram stops away with the Tram stop being about 2 blocks away from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. McDonald's, a bakery, and a convenient store is about 2 to 3 blocks away, so you have access to quick bites.
Cons: Breakfast buffet/full breakfast is expensive (or normal by Geneva standards - I believe approx. 30 CHF). It's not exactly "city center" - you have to take a Tram or the bus to get to the city center; definitely not within walking distance (you can get there about 30 min walking). The beds are hard, but clean linens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very modern and fresh looking. Also liked the easy access by tram to city centre.
Cons: There was nothing to not like.

Cons: Not a single complaint, hotel was wonderful!
7.0 Good
Pros: The frequency of the shuttle which was free. We had previously stayed at another nearby hotel and had to pay from the hotel to the airport but free in reverse. I also liked being able to open the window as I do not like air conditioning.
Cons: The hotel was as expected but I would not qualify it as a 4 star. It was also slightly further than I had thought and it cost 20 SFr, for a taxi as the last shuttle had gone. It is also very near the runway so as soon as the flights started it was noi

Pros: Only the Geneva Free Transport Card from hotel.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stay in appartments from time to time. Always perfect stay. Close to center, train stop, supermarket
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose this for two reasons, it was affordable and it seemed easy to get to from the railway station. We weren't disappointed on either point. It was a matter of coming out of the station, buying two tickets at the tram-stop (the machine takes cash and gives change - contrary to some reports you'll read) catching the no 15 and, when disembarked, crossing the road to arrive at the hotel. Easy! The receptionist was very welcoming and spoke good English. We were on the 7th floor which afforded better views of the mountains in the distance. The facilities were great - all seemed new, very clean and well considered, there was everything we needed. The 'dressing table' area had to double as the food prep area and dining table, but this wasn't an issue as we had a simple meal of spaghetti. Two chairs were thoughtfully provided (at last, a room where both occupants can sit on a chair!!). A local supermarket just a few metres down the road provided our supplies although they didn't sell alcohol, so had to visit the small local shop to buy a bottle. There was a supply of coffee / tea sachets at the hotel. We were advised in advance of some noise because of works taking place on the premises, but this was during the day when visitors would be out sight-seeing, so was not a problem
Cons: Can't think of anything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the Kitchenette, with sufficient and clean utensils to make a small meal. The room was very clean and modernised. ,There is a tram-stop of one of the most important lines just in front of the hotel,
Cons: A bit of noise of the tram passing by early in the morning.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, clean, spacious and warm. They had a kitchen and kitchen equipment so we could cook. Good location. Tram station was outside the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. They gave us a free city pass ticket for bus/tram use.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Hotel under renovations without letting me know upfront. No food, no beverages, nobody there after 22pm
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is kind of apart hotel, well equipped with house and kitchen stuff. Hotel is places next to city center but still in walk-able distance. As alternative hotel offer you free travel card working in whole city public transport.
Cons: I've used hotel few times, but during the summer air-conditioning appliance very little to noise. Last time I was in winter, I saw new devices in the rooms, but was no reason to test it;).

Pros: It has very good access to public transport and the city center

Pros: Great location. Wonderful staff. Close to transit.
9.7 Excellent
Cons: restaurant, i would never eat there again, overpriced food which came in longer when 40 minutes and two times asking , salmon was dry compare to any other food for that trip was the worst
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: We didn't like the fact that our Delux King Room (for 2) had only 1 bottle of water, had only 1 English Breakfast tea bag (and when we asked house keeping for another tea bag, we were told we needed to request this from reception!) We were also surprised that there was also only 3 small pillows for a large king bed (and no other pillows in any of the cupboards). This did not feel like a 5 star hotel bedroom! We didn't like that the airport shuttle service dropped us at the arrivals level rather than the departures level. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past but was disappointed overall with our stay this time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious clean room. Outstanding customer service! Excellent location
Cons: N/a
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Receptionists were very helpful and provided great recommendations for restaurants in City Center.
Cons: The shuttle needs to take reservations. We asked the night before and told no reservations needed. We were downstairs at 5:10 for a 5:30 am shuttle. A Group showed up at 5:30 and held up the shuttle 15 min arguing that they should all have seats.

Pros: The bed was excellent, close to the airport, shuttle service and the gym.
Cons: The Japanese restaurant's prices. View from the room, or lack there of.
7.5 Good
Cons: High price- probably due to overlap with Geneva auto show which was canceled. We should have canceled our reservation and rebooked - probably would have gotten a much lower price.

Pros: Great breakfast

Pros: Very good hotel and good location. Close to the train station.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well located, walking distance to the main train station, and close to lots of walking and tourist areas. They give you a free transit pass for all buses and trams, and the hotel steps from a tram station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and organized rooms.
Cons: Location is also close to a local red light district, so some of the surrounding areas are a bit seedy, but seedy Geneva is a clean neighborhood in most other cities. Room climate control was not adjustable and room was just too hot in the winter.
