Pros: Wow, staying here was the perfect end to our Portuguese road trip! Miguel and his lovely family did everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is set within a tranquil countryside location with modern and spacious rooms which were immaculate. Our 3 year old enjoyed exploring the organic fruit gardens and our teenager loved the pool. The hotel also has a restaurant, bar and wine cellar so it is perfect for those days when you don't want to venture out but still want to experience Portuguese culture. The roof terrace allows you to view Faro and surrounding countryside and at night, is was great for stargazing, my husband wished that he had his binoculars! All this and yet only 15 minutes drive to Faro - we will definitely visit this gem of a hotel again!

Pros: What a find! The hotel is beautiful; clean and modern with lovely traditional touches. Breakfast is a continental self-service buffet with plenty to eat with staff on hand to offer coffee and even made to order pancakes. Dinners are excellent, skilfully prepared with local produce. Location is a peaceful setting not far from Faro town, but what really makes it all work so well is Miguel and all the staff who work so hard and went the extra mile for my wife and I to make sure that everything went smoothly including bike hire and wine tasting. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As we had an early flight on the day of departure, a packed breakfast was prepared for us to take away. All in all,we had a great time and we will be back!

Pros: The staff cannot do enough for you and a small tip for exceptional service is very much appreciated. The gym is well equipped. The pools are great but don't expect the best sun loungers unless you get there early. Not a big loss - we had a cabana which was amazing.

Cons: I speak Portuguese, so expected that if staff did not speak English, they'd speak Portuguese. There are quite a few staff members who don't speak either so you have to revert to sign language.

Pros: This elegant and comfortable hotel had everything we were looking for. The spacious room had comfortable beds (our priority), and a spectacular view over the Marina area with its many restaurants and luxury yachts. It had a balcony where we could sit and look out over the harbour. The breakfast dining room was large and pleasant which included an outside terrace where we could eat outside, weather permitting. There was a varied selection of delicious food, all beautifully set out, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. The pool and garden area was extensive and gave easy access to the beach. It was such a pleasant place to sit in the sun. The indoor heated pool was also large and we used it as It was too cold for the outside pool. All in all a lovely hotel.

Cons: It would have been good to have had a bidet in the bathroom, and we didn’t like the loud music in the Reception area, but these are minor complaints, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Cruel for children to look at. €11 to use the spa. €9 for an hour of pool. €7.50 to get a bottle of wine open, and both fuzball tables in the kids play room charged !!!!We had to upgrade to a bigger room upon arrival because we had a 10 month old baby with us even though it says on the website babies are free. This cost €200 extra. All of this obviously had a negative impact on our holiday.

Pros: The place is reasonably clean. There are three bathrooms (one for man, one for women, and one for both) so one of them is usually available. The rooms and the rooftop look like in the pictures. Staff had good tips for beaches.

Cons: Sound isolation was not the best. Our room was across the bathrooms, and looking out in the street. During the night it can get really noisy. During our stay in the hostel some of our items were stolen from the shared fridge. And the bed was not that comfortable.

Pros: The hostel was great for our one night sleep Room was fantastic, a little bit noisy cause it was located on the street but when closing the windows it didn't really bothered us. The facilities were amazing!! Common area is spacious and homey, kitchen had everything you need and beyond and the terrace on the top was definitely a plus. I wish the light could stay on always since it worked on body movement it got closed every couple of minutes which was a bit annoying and not superb for night time And the shared bathroom was very very clean. Staff was nice letting us stay in the common area after check out

Cons: Unfortunately I think there was a misunderstanding and someone throw our staff from the fridge before we left :/ which was not cool at all.

Pros: Clean no frills hotel. Not spectacular, but good enough. Parking on site.

Cons: Only stay here if you have a car, nothing interesting nearby, not even food. More like an okay motel than a hotel. The beds are a little saggy. Why you need to climb up stairs (quite slippery when wet, for instance after rain) to the entrance, is a mystery to me. There is a ramp but that doesn't solve the mystery. Breakfast with nice croissants, but terrible coffee and cold hard boiled eggs. Still fairly decent, though choice could be better.

Pros: Stayed here 2 years ago so this was a return visit. The staff member that checked us in is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very clean, spacious and has everything you need. Very large outdoor balcony. Lovely quiet outdoor pool area. Very relaxing. Things are maybe a little bit dated, but everything works fine and does the job it is meant to do. I would stay here again.

Cons: Unfortunately, there are a lot of ants around the pool area which do not bother you but can be a little off-putting when you see them! Absolutely no ants in the rooms at all though – the rooms are spotlessly clean.
