8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very clean and plenty of room, receptionist was very friendly and the it was nice and quiet.
Cons: Nothing everything was good.
7.1 Good
Pros: it's position
Cons: the doors opened out to the public area and people could see into the rooms from there and from the restaurant, so one needed to keep the blinds down, and then could not see the views., or get out of the sliding doors. this is a design problem, a screen away from the sliding doors and nearer the bed would solve this problem
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy beds, warm, great location.

Pros: Beautiful heritage home with a wonderful host, Chris. Particularly loved the friendly roaming chickens, ducks and turkey. Thank you for a memorable stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staying in a unique house part of West Coasts history
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Waterfront location, heaps of period character. Beautiful rooms and comfy bed. Quiet.
Cons: A few small touches could have really elevated the business. Generic wine and spirits at bar. A little disorganised.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great. The host was lovely and attentive and very interesting with the history of the house and town. The location was great.
Cons: Please don't publish - just for feedback. The rooms were dusty, and the high ceilings had cobwebs, it is a traditional property but there are extension leads etc which spoiled the heritage look. It is winter and it would have been nice to have the fireplaces (gas heaters) on to create ambience and romance????
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic building situated. The owner was friendly and provided some wonderful information about the history of Ormiston House. Beautiful view of a greenery out the window. Food was delicious.
7.1 Good
Pros: Position was lovely to watch the sunset
Cons: The gardens and surroundings and entrance area and car parking area all need a little TLC The property needs a good clean & tidying up eg old fence posts that have been replaced are just lying in a heap in the garden Our room had a slightly musty smell and again the historical kudos of Ormiston House should be backed up with presentation
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, great breakfast
Cons: Shower not hot enough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the 4-poster, other antiques. Owner very knowledgeable.
Cons: All ok
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is lovely and steeped in history. Breakfast was good with perfect fruit salad and stewed apricots and freshly baked croissants.
Cons: The communal areas, especially the breakfast room could be a bit warmer but I appreciate it is difficult to keep a property of that size heated! This would not stop me from staying again, the host and house are lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historical and comfortable. Not anything you’d find in a chain service. Unique with a long and wonderful history. Relax and enjoy the ambience of this history and leave the modern world far behind. ‘Nuff said.
Cons: Nothing bad to say. Except breakfast offerings were basic cereals. Might have thrown in a spot of porridge to warm your innards against the cold winds.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was apprehensive about staying in Queenstown but this Motel has had a great upgrade which puts it in a high class in regard to comfort, cleanliness, attractiveness etc. The owners are very industrious and obliging. They corrected a mistake in pricing by reducing the room $30.00, not that they needed to do that because the room and service was excellent value even $50.00 extra. Honesty gets my recommendation and a positive report for the quality of the accomodation, breakfast and service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right from when you arrive and are greeted by Bentleigh the sheep dog wagging his tail and looking for a pat you start to feel at home. This is further enhanced by the awesome hosts at the property. And one last little thing to make you feel at home, they go to the trouble of supplying FRESH milk not UHT. 8.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly helpful staff
Cons: Room was a bit outdated
4.6 Okay
Pros: The proximity to the water and easy access to cruises was good.
Cons: I had booked a standard hillside room. The room I got was facing an unattractive car park where other people cars were right at my window. Decor was very outdated. Corridors has dirty, worn carpet and bright yellow stucco walls that were badly marked. The entry door to the corridor from outside was filthy, covered in leaves, bits of plastic bags and remained that way fir my stay. The buffet was overpriced for what was available. Most hot dishes were almost empty when I arrived to eat at 7:00. Only one was topped up while I was getting food. Food was luke warm and a bit stodgy, some seafood options we’re almost empty with the large share fish virtually just skeletal remains.

Pros: History of the hotel and the barman who checked us in was very helpful even though he was new. New bathrooms were very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Bathrooms were out of order nearest to our room and had to walk further down hallway to access toilet in middle of night. Soap was empty so didn't have that for shower. The manager wasn't too friendly when we checked out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location Fantastic staff A lovely old hotel with original features Well worth a visit for the food if your not stopping there If you are looking for somewhere to stay, book this hotel we were upgraded to an en suite room for no extra charge Can’t fault this pmace
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Dinner was good plate was taking away to quick
Cons: Room was a bit too small and tried to check in earlier but couldn't.
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was adequate. Normal Continental.
Cons: The restaurant meal left a bit to be desired. Came minus the salad, then minus the tartare sauce, then when it arrived it was mayonnaise instead. The meal wasn't cheap so I did expect better than that. And the drinks at the bar were a bit on the high side. $18.50 for a schooner of beer and a Cointreau and lemonade.
5.8 Okay
Pros: We thought to not stay here on first arrival but actually had a comfortable sleep. Reasonably priced.
Cons: My partner is coeliac, all that could be offered to him for breakfast was a mandarin. Couldn’t open door of bedroom fully in bedroom as the bed was blocking it. Very old, run down hotel with shared bathrooms-three of which were out of order.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful with providing local information
Cons: The matress was terrible think it's time they invested in some new beds, we had a terrible nights sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cosy once we got the heater on...comfy, warm, good shower. Plenty of space as two people in a room with a single bed and double bed...all lovely! The hotel is reasonably up to date given the challenges Queenstown faces as an isolated town trying to keep up ....a township that’s regularly managing economic depression...due to a mine that’s fortune and future rises and falls much like a tidal river. The hotel has a scenic location if you like what Queenstown has to offer: ...a wonderful rich historic heritage township with fabulous period buildings, reflective of its mining history...at one time the place was a real boom town, it had fabulous hotels, and there was wealthy investments into substantial bricks and mortar buildings....banks, theatres, railways....etc...so much to see and do...the famous gravel Aussie rules football oval is also nearby. There’s also a lot going in the Arts area now in Queenstown...so it’s a place that’s regularly reinventing itself! Visit it and enjoy!
Cons: Loved It! It’s doing what it can to provide accommodation....but some kind of kitchen - restaurant food option (even breakfasts), would be great...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy. The room was once a good space but is now run down and dated

Pros: Not much..owner was friendly..
Cons: No air conditioning, only one.chair,poor.lighting no toaster, no clock no radio not much room, lamps by bed broken, bathroom lack of shelves...generally overrated by your description.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is awesome, food and staff fabulous, definitely worth a visit! Look, there's no getting away from the fact that the room we stayed in has seen better days, but for the price we paid we knew we weren't getting 5* accommodation. Think one up from a donga and you won't be disappointed. That said, the heater was on, the bed was ok, the room was quiet and there was tea, coffee and a fridge with milk in it. And the place was spotless. You pays your money and takes your choice!
