Pros: Everything in this place was excellent! Location - 10min walk from trainstation, right at the seaside. Breakfast was superb with a mix of english-Italian offers and they will make you your coffee of choice - there is also options for vegetarians/vegans with soy yogurt, fruits, hummus & tofu! The staff is amazing and super friendly. I liked the feeling of a small hotel were they know their every customer. Rooms were clean, comfy with really good AC. Me and my small chihuahua had an amazing experience and this was a perfect get-away from the city. Big bonus for being such a pet friendly hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff

Pros: The breakfast was good, but the best part is the restaurant right next door and the location across from the promenade.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff
Cons: Nothing to add
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received the personal touch of the owners, who could not be nicer. You walk out the door and you quickly access incredible restaurants, shops, the sea, and much more. We loved getting our nightcaps from the bar. The breakfast is very nice, and the servers are wonderful.
Cons: Parking can be a challenge. It is well worth it to pay the extra $15 a day to park immediately in front of the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanness, staff
Cons: Room is small and window from balcony goes on the neighborhood building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I chose this property purely for the location as we wanted to visit Portofino and the Cinque Terre. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that Rapallo itself was a lovely little town and the hotel just superb. The staff were fantastic - we were met by Alessandro who couldn’t have been more helpful. He gave us loads of information about the area and how to get about. I would recommend the Hotel Astoria - it was a wonderful stay.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing! Helpful with every need and went over and above to assist.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location excellent a little pricy as it has no spa or facilities. Breakfast was first class and staff very helpful
Cons: Restricted parking no pool or massage services
9.6 Excellent
Pros: great staff, advised on and booked restaurants for us.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel with private beach and good selection of restaurants and bars. Train station is littersly minutes away if interested visiting towns near by. The room was comfy with everything needed, including a Kettle.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, only 2 hot options but the bacon was tasty. Pool, restaurants and private beach are what set this hotel apart from others at Camogli.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and the staff were all lovely!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the views from the hotel. Fantastic location. We stayed in the pink building on the top level, not a seafront room but on the side with a view down the coast & a cute balcony. We loved it.
Cons: If you didn’t have a room with a view & a small balcony then it would be a waste of money. Some staff were not so friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Water front
Cons: Expensive for the room we gor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and gorgeous rooms. Great food. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Very expensive.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast ok. Better selection of fruit would have been good. Loved the pool and dinner on our last night
Cons: Bedroom a bit small. We stayed here before and had a better room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was really top!! Very rich and fresh breakfast! Camogli is a small but lovely fishing village with its beautiful colourful houses. The sea was wonderful, clean and crystal blue!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, wonderfully accommodating staff, really good breakfast, really good restaurants. The pool area and beach area are nice. There were always plenty of chairs and the staff were helpful. The sea view room we had for one of the nights was absolutely worth the price and I would book that room for my entire stay next time.
Cons: I am 6’4” and our first room had a ceiling beam that came diagonally down into the room and bathroom. Luckily we were able to switch rooms after the first night because I had to duck constantly while walking around. It also made it impossible to stand up in the shower. If you are tall at all I would make sure not to book one of the rooms with the slanted roof.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stunning location. Gorgeous ocean and pool. Sparkling clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Delicious food including bountiful buffet breakfast. Wonderful to stroll around the town. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to visit again.
Cons: This was a perfect vacation.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent! and the location too!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel at the entrance of Rapallo, quite expensive but convenient and with 5-star breakfast
Cons: The price
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location, air condition worked well sky8 bar was excellent view at night breakfast on the deck was large very nice each morning with heaps variety, staff very friendly.
Cons: The best western sent an email to pre-book activity on arrival- we booked a massage as we were looking forward to utilising the in hotel spa - it stayed booked pay at hotel. We arrived and asked they did not know about email being sent from best western and advised the spa was closed for duration of our stay - if we wanted they could tell us where to find some local places offsite. We also booked a boat hire for $200€ when we arrived we where told no boat hires as it’s subject to weather anyway and that if you wanted a boat would cost a lot more, come back tomorrow and will see them. The sky8 bar was expensive but very nicely set out. The housekeeper moved our bag from the couch and put it up on a small cubboard - weird- the noise outside at night is really loud from nearby karaoke and restaurants bring earplugs if your a light sleeper because I am not.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 pre-teenagers) and stayed at the hotel in Rapallo in August 2019. Amazing location!! The room was spacious and super clean. Went to the Skybar for a drink where the view was just unbelievable. The personel of the hotel was so nice and polite. We had a fantastic stay in Rapallo.
Cons: The master bed matress was stiff and the pillows are quite stiff as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Probably the best small hotel we have stayed at in Italy. Without doubt the best staff. Extremely well situated, clean and with first class breakfast. Would definitely return.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good The location was great too The cleaning was good
Cons: The parking was not so confortable The rate was high for the kind of hotel The room was not so confortable
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was great, as it is by the water and within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and gelaterias. The rooftop deck also offers beautiful views of the water, the coast and the town below. We received an upgrade to a room with a small balcony and partial view of the water, both of which were nice to have.
Cons: Our room had pretty thin walls, so we could hear everything going on upstairs and around our room. Not so much noise to the point where it was disruptive to our stay but at the same time, it is probably dependent on who is staying in the other rooms. Also, when we checked in, the front desk staff tried to get us to pay EUR50 for an upgrade and threw in free breakfasts and free parking (normally EUR12 across the street for 24h), but were baffled when we didn't want an upgrade (we ended up skipping breakfast and parking for free on the street a few blocks away). Most likely, the upgraded room that was proposed to us for an extra EUR50 was the only one available. Typically when a hotel is in this situation, the upgrade is provided at no cost to the guest, so it was strange to have it presented as a promo we needed to pay for.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very central to Rapallo and just a short drive away from the E80 motorway. This hotel is also only 15 mins away from Portofino by car. You can also get a boat to Portofino and other locations from the Ferry jetty just outside the hotel. The hotel 'Sky Bar' is worth a visit. It offers fabulous views over the harbour and beach area. With regards to parking - when you first arrive at the hotel they have an 'arrivals bay' just outside the hotel - you can simply park here and unload and then the staff park your car for you in the car park opposite. The hotel has an arrangement with the car park opposite. You can park for 24 hours for 12 euros per day. You can come and go as much as you like for this. The room we had was comfortable but we had an internal view - unfortunately, the building behind is a bit run-down so the view is not great. We were offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony and a sea view on check-in - but because we were only stopping one night and were not spending much time in the room we declined. We were offered this upgrade for 60 Euros. (this also included breakfast). The rooms were of a good size. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower was excellent. Very clean, good sized TV. We had a kettle in the room and a fridge too. The shower was great. The breakfast was a great surprise. The selection was fantastic. The pastries are fresh and baked on-site each day. The staff also brought around smoothies and croissants as soon as they were made. Very good selection of hot and cold food, very tasty cakes, fresh fruit, meats and cheese plus smoked salmon! If you are looking for a central hotel with an excellent breakfast you should stay here. Portofino is expensive - but you have to expect that. As well as getting a boat or a bus to Portofino you can also drive - but please note the parking is limited and expensive.
Cons: Internal view is not much to look at.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the initial greeting from the desk staff the stay at this hotel was superb. The rooftop bar was simply unbelievable as was the location right next to the harbour. Amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: Nice breakfest with delicious coffee and professional staff service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and very attentive staff who simply creates an open atmosphere in the hotel. The contemporary design (attachment to details, combination of styles and very “new yorkish” feel and touch) made this hotel a perfect alternative to other hotels with very classic and often outdated styles. The location of the hotel is perfect as well - just a walking distance to the main street and the sea. Great choice of food for breakfast and the place where it’s served is simply top notch!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well organized. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great position. Lovely building. Excellent stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Smoking in the restaurant. People chain smoked for our whole meal! This spoilt the taste and atmosphere for us and I got a sinus headache. Had we realized we would have organized to eat elsewhere, which still would have been disappointing. There was no inside area set up. This discriminated against non smokers and it is about time the restaurant takes that into account.

Pros: Really handy being opposite the station And easy to walk into the centre and the Porto Antico. Room was comfy and immaculate Ate in the trattoria attached which was excellent Fabulous pianist in the downstairs lounges
Cons: Our room had no view I personally hate all the brown curtains Bath/ shower could do with a handle to get in and out .
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Very few aspects we liked, in fact for a 5 start hotel too few; breaksfast, cleaness and restaurant staff.
Cons: The reception staff were very blaze, preferred to chat between them and handling paperwork rather than speak and exchange with us. The valet service: we waited very long, unecessary painful for this 5star hotel. It is not a 5star place, not sure we can recommend it further. Room service phoned back after 30minutes from ordering, saying they are too busy - so cancel the order for our daughter. I appreciate if the hotel management replies to this feedback, however it is too little too late.
7.7 Good
Pros: Good bathroom, comfortable bed, courteous & helpful staff.Breakfast was a good experience and the food and service at the trattoria is excellent.Pity the water shortage meant the spa was shut.

Classic and imposing on the outside, modern and elegantly decorated in a contemporary style inside, the hotel welcomes its guests in a warm atmosphere, making it the ideal location for corporate and private events, cocktails or celebrations with a refined taste. Many are the thematic events organized for customers during the year, a journey into the world of art, starting from the cuisine, which underlines paintings exhibitions and live music by always different artists, making Meliá not only a location but an experience to live.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast too expensive and bad quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice, worth the cost. The staff were friendly. Parking is an issue, weekends are free, but weekday you can pay on pay and display. The manager Francesa was very helpful, I had booked a room with a terrace, when saw the room there was a wall that covered the view, which was disappointing, they explained they gave a King size room as I had a child. To compensate the view, they removed the parking charge. This was very kind of Francesa who was very apologetic.

Pros: Clean, spacious, well equipped junior suite. Modern. Relaxing spa pool. Helpful staff. Cool.
Cons: Expensive bar and mini bar - but we asked for fridge to be cleared so we could restock from Coop over the road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel in a peaceful location.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel staff was friendly aside from the gentleman I spoke on the phone, and the hotel was clean.
Cons: Given this is a 5-star hotel I was pretty shocked to realize there was only cold water available in the first morning of my stay, which translated in a cold shower and shave. This was my first experience of such a case despite having attended about 150-200 business hotels all over the world. I was even more surprised to see that the hotel had not a single iron available, urging me to attend the congress without wrinkled shirts. I think that such problems (negative experiences) can always happen (although I have to admit it was a bad coincidence to find out about 2 uniquely experienced grievances during my first morning). However, the way how the gentleman at the reception handled my surprise & complaint about these 2 grievances was by far the worst part of my experience. My conviction is that a 5-star hotel should definitely try to make up for such a disruptive guest experience and offer a free massage, drinks or another service such as free ironing. The location of the Melia hotel within Genova is ok but far from outstanding. The hotel has been kept clean and offers a standard breakfast. IMO the breakfast does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.

7.0 Good
Pros: This is exactly what you want from a hotel on the Riviera. No, it doesn't have modern wifi and great room service 24hrs a day, but what it does have is charm and elegance. From the chunky room keys to the lovely staff, this is how hotels on the French and Italian rivieras should be. Lots of marble and eclectic furniture on the inside. Great views outside. Remember to dress like Michael Caine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place! Deluxe on the upper floor has incredible view Lovely breakfast with local products Own beach
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, top floor with very nice large terrace. Fantastic views of the sea and harbour. Parking was excellent. WiFi was good. The tv had a good choice of channels. The location was excellent, just a five minute stroll into town. The staff were very nice. The private rocky beach area, although paying for sun beds is a bit expensive!!
Cons: Just a minor comment. Bit noisy in the corridor in the morning. I think it was staff opening and closing storage doors. But, excellent noise reduction from the windows, no noise from outside at all.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good
Cons: The furniture is very old and the room was not clean ( very old ) the toiletry is not good ( shampoo and shower gel is the same and no conditioner) No water complementary in the room Any extra order in the breakfast like omelette was charged You have to rent a sun chair for 20 € per person
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The views, private beach, its amazing
Cons: Didn’t like the breakfast and that the hotel looks kind of outdated, for the price you pay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff esas very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast and the overall food was tasteful and amazing.
Cons: The sunbeds were excluded form the room payment. But it didnt say it in the description.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful view from the terrace! And the staff were great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spot, great gym, great swimming
Cons: Shower pressure
7.5 Good
Pros: Location , service .
Cons: Room and bathroom
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is spectacular - the view from hotel/room is perfect, the gardens with benches dotted around is ideal and the beach area is brilliant. Room was clean and had the promised sea view balcony. Staff were friendly.
Cons: I was put into the separate building which is small and boxy. Room was incredibly bland/basic and bed one of the least comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time. Paying €20/day for parking was annoying, but €20 for a sunbed on the hotel beach is just plain rude when you’re a guest. Breakfast also pretty basic vs most Italian hotels I’ve stayed at.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast ever. About 8 different sorts of milk and several freshly pressed juices. Additionally you are able to sit outside at the terrassse and enjoy the light and colors of water, hills and houses. There was a problem with warm water, but they solved it quiet fast. Good location to go for a walk in the old town or along the Harbour, as well as getting to metro or by taxi to the Airport.
Cons: Price was a bit high, but since there was a conference nearby this was reasonable. Even when it was solved fast, just cold water in the morning is quiet uncomfortable if you have a meeting to reach.

7.5 Good
Pros: Position
Cons: The old elevator is very (VERY) noisy. It's impossible not to hear it when in your room, even if you are in a room that doesn't face the hall. I asked in my online reservation that I wanted a silent room, specifying "far from elevators", and while I wasn't put in the hallway, I did not get the most "protected" room either. When asked (approx. 1 hour after arrival), the receptionist said that I should have asked before, because at the moment no more rooms where available for check-in. All in all, every other (good) feature of this hotel is overshadowed by this single shortcoming (many other reviews complain about this), which should probably push the managers to do something (but I read that they just renovated it...). PS: in terms of customers, very touristy, definitely not advisable for business
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The entirely Italian feel I was looking for! Feels like I was in one of the Bond’s movie! The facilities are old but adequate, and all the small details showed you this is a quality hotel with good history. The location is wonderful! Just across the street from the railway station but it’s not noisy. Easy access to the castle, port, museum... The stuff are professional, polite and efficient, just friendly enough..
Cons: The air conditioner is not in a good condition anymore. It works, but quite noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a very nice suit. The elevator was very nice the old fashion style, it was first time that I'd seen such a style. The location was excellent. The breakfast was not lavish but enough and nice.

Pros: Great location. Most of the tourist attractions can be reachable by walk. The room was clean, spacious, and well furnished Complimentary water and coffee were provided in the room.
Cons: The elevator is bit old and doors to be opened manually.

Pros: The staff here provided the best customer service we have seen over 3 months of travelling in Europe and 10 months of travel in Australia. I emailed in advanced asking advice on an English speaking Physiotherapist. The reply I got didn’t just give me a name but preempted my next move by providing a possible appointment time as well. All booked with no stress to me and within walking distance from the hotel. When we arrived I felt like we were coming home. All of the staff were lovely, in particular Nicole and Cinzia. They booked us a great restaurant on our first night and provided details on other options. Rooms are. Good size. Clean. Excellent breakfast choice. Free tea and coffee during the day. Excellent location. We were sad to leave
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Staff are really nice and approachable. The bed is comfortable. Location is superb. Loved the shower. Very clean!
Cons: There was an annoying buzzing heard in my room. Especially in the corner of the room where my pillow was. Must have been something in the hallway or neighbouring room. Had to sleep on the other side of bed so that I would hear it less and manage to fall asleep. Although everything else is good, it is a bit pricey for such a small room with rather old-fashioned furniture.

Cons: i liked everything

Pros: Excellent hotel in the heart of Genova, only a few steps from Palazzo Ducale, San Lorenzo and Via Garibaldi. We appreciated the welcoming staff, the clean and spacious room and bathroom, and the very rich and high quality breakfast (great price of 8 euros per person). The hotel also has a fitness centre and a spa. It is located in a romantic area of Genova, and the room had a great view over the city roofs. The area around the hotel is safe, full of restaurants and cocktail bars, and well connected to the Genova railway station Parco Principe through the bus and metro.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room was clean good size. Breakfast was very good, but we thought it was included but was told we booked through bookings .com so it was not included? Have to take their word for it at this stage, will check it out later.
Cons: The shower was tiny and the door was so small I am glad I could get in but many people now days would not. The view was a wall so we kept the roller shutters down, felt like solitary confinement. The lift was about 1mt. square so two cases and two people was a squeeze , lucky we do not suffer from claustrophobia. Trying to even call the lift was a joke as every time on the first day it was full when it arrived ,that means three people. We ended up using the stairs!
