This hotel is located in Reykjavik (Reykjavík East), close to Sundhollin, Hallgrimskirkja, and Reykjavik City Hall. Also nearby are National Museum of Iceland and Perlan.
Pros: The location was great and had great views. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and was decent, not extravagant but certainly adequate. I got a room with a shared bathroom and there was still a sink in the room, which was very helpful.Cons: The shared bathroom was clean, but smelled pretty bad. I'm not sure if it was some sort of raw sewage situation or just that the water smelled very strongly of sulphur. It's entirely possible it wasn't the hotel's fault, just a fault of the city plumbing. It was bearable, but added a sense of "cheapness" to a place that was otherwise relatively nice for the money.
Great stay!Pros: Awesome location on Reykjavik's main street while not close enough to be bothered by the nightly audio chaos. Room was rather small but had everything we needed at a reasonable price.Cons: Not super easy to find
Pros: I was traveling alone and felt very safe here. All the tours picked me up and I felt comfortable walking around the area on my own. Also, the woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful and made several phone calls for me. I would definitely stay here again!
Pros: A little bit small, but relatively cheap, clean, convenient, and breakfast included.
