7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent rooms in old, characterful hotel. Sadly the town is somewhat jaded. Great morning market.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly helpful staff, superb room overlooking the river, good evening meal and breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our very friendly Hostess and her equally friendly Mother greeted us upon arrival. The Esplanade is a renovated ancient Maison. The staircase is beautiful and our room was large with lots of character details. The ensuite bath consisted of a large walk-in shower, toilet and sink. It was large enough to be comfortable. The Wi-Fi is also very good. Our hostesses guided us to the breakfast room and also showed us the way to the downstairs ‘whiskey bar’. The whiskey bar is actually a regular café (bar and you can get meal at lunch time). The bar is operated by the husband (we think) of our Hostess. Our hostess also referred us to a very fine restaurant (Le Makila) two doors down from the Maison. Breakfast at the Maison was typical French breakfast fare…. Croissant, and fresh bread, butter, jam (one large pot was homemade cherry jam), yogurt (fresh from a nearby farm in Valentine), tea, coffee and juice. As we were leaving we were given reading material for Albi, our next stop. In summary, our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful, the Maison was beautifully restored, (with an elevator for those who need one), rooms were large, pristine and full of character (fireplace and ancient wood floors). Breakfast was good, bar was convenient and the referred restaurant was excellent. It is located in center of a lively village.
Cons: I did not find a thing to be negative about.

Pros: This hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the Pyrenees. It is very convenient for the Bielsa tunnel to Spain. We have stayed here many times and have always been made to feel very welcome
Cons: Apart from MacDonalds there used to be only one restaurant Le Gavastou near the hotel. This restaurant is very good but when it was closed there was little choice. Now Buffalo Grill have opened a restaurant right next to the Ibis hotel.

7.9 Good
Pros: As a stopover on our way through the Pyrenees, this was a perfect location. Literally “metres” away from the motorway exit/entrance. The Manager was all smiles and although neither of us spoke each other’s language well, we made ourselves understood and was very helpful with directions.
Cons: Though the room was small and overlooked the mountains, some tea/coffee making facilities would have been most appreciated.
10.0 Excellent

2.5 Mediocre
Cons: We have nothing good to say about this property. We chose this hotel based on the photos on After a very long drive we got in late very tired to find the cheapest, hardest mattress and tiniest bare bones room that we couldn’t even get our bags around the bed! There was a stain on one of the pillows. The bathroom was adequate at best. As well there was a radiator in the hallway and left over furniture in the hallway we had to get around. This was in the middle of our holiday all over northern Spain and it in no way compared to all the amazing rooms we had for comparable prices.

Cons: The restaurant was nice, high quality food, if a little expensive.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy room, all services available, friendly staff.
Cons: From my hotel room a view on the asbestos roof top ... no really “healty” aspect.
5.8 Okay
Pros: convenience to location I was visiting for a family wedding
Cons: Light switch in bathroom (toilet) was hanging from wall so was dangerous near water. Did not use it Maid service/housekeeping did not attend two of the days we stayed Would have been good to have tea and coffee facilities in room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was easy to find, close to the town centre. Lots of bars and cafes within a short walk.
Cons: The only thing I can say is the room we were in had a separate toilet and shower room but the only thing is the sink to wash your hands in was in the shower room so you had to use the loo and then use two door handles to get to the sink. Take wipes.
7.9 Good
Pros: the location was perfect, the breakfast was correct and the restaurant was exelent!
Cons: the spa was correct but small, the bed was a little soft.

Pros: It had secure parking. The bed was quite comfortable
Cons: Our room was freezing. There was an electric heater but if you put it in the room the bathroom was cold. The hot water took forever to come through There was no spare toilet roll and when my husband went to get some the staff thought it highly amusing. The handle was falling off the door and the whole place was shabby and run down

Cons: Shower was mixer head with no wall mount. No tea or coffee facility, no fridge

Pros: The hotel is quite unique, and we quite liked the quirky-ness of the property. It is decorated tastefully although some parts could be updated. The staff were friendly, and the dinner we had in the evening was amazing! Breakfast was also very nice the following morning. We only stayed one night on our way back home, but we would book to stay here again in future.
Cons: Everything was perfect for us. I would maybe update parts of the hotel, but otherwise we found it to be perfect for our requirements.
